Originally built in 1925, updated with all the modern conveniences, this classic Folly Beach oceanfront cottage harks back to a simpler time. Kick off your shoes and let the ocean sounds and views nourish your soul. Living space of the home is all one level. Original hard wood floors, walls and ceilings throughout. A screened porch runs along the oceanside of the home, offering extended outdoor living space, complete with rocking chairs and a hammock. Perfect for all hours of the day! The open and spacious floor plan provides ocean views form every bedroom, affording ocean breezes and the gentle sound of the waves, lulling you to sleep. The home has been updated with a central heating and air conditioning system along with ceiling fans in each room, for those occasions when the weather is not conducive for opened windows.

There are 4 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen beds. The other two bedrooms are furnished with 2 twin beds in each room. This allows for multiple sleeping options for up to 8 guests. This home only has 1 bathroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, no bath tub. The kitchen is fully equipped with all your cooking needs. Dining room table seats 8 guests comfortably. TV in living room and master bedroom. Outdoor shower with hot water. Washer and dryer located underneath the home.

All beds are prepared with 100% cotton sheets and freshly laundered quilts. There are 8 sets of bath towels provided. Guests are supplied with a starter kit of essential items to get them started, these items are listed in your welcome email.

This home is pet friendly, dogs only please. We do not allow more than 2 dogs. There is a pet fee of $25 per dog per day. Dogs must be up to date on all vaccines, flea and tick preventative. Please make sure your pet is comfortable traveling and being left alone in a new home. Please crate pets when unattended. Please keep pets off furniture and bedding and be sure to review all City of Folly Beach rules and regulations concerning pets on the beach. Folly Beach is a very pet friendly beach, meaning there are lots of canine visitors. Please know your pet and their needs.

Beautiful beach cottage

Property manager was gracious & allowed early check in, giving us an extra day on beach. Accommodations were superb, and if you’re antique/vintage lovers like we are… it doesn’t disappoint. Most character of any beach home we’ve stayed in, up and down the coasts of NC & SC. Excellent & prompt communication, would highly recommend this property

Perfect Beach Cottage

So charming and the absolute perfect location. The beach felt private and we could see the 4th of July Fireworks from our backyard. With small children, we loved being able to quickly pop back and forth from beach to house for lunch, bathroom, etc. The hammock on the screened in porch was everyone's favorite place for an afternoon nap. We hope to be back!

Still charming

This was our 3rd time renting for one week and the cottage seemed larger and as wonderful as ever! The huge porch was still our major gathering place knowing that we could escape the humidity by retreating into the cool house. Feels like home.

Felt like home!

We booked this location for a family vacation and to celebrate my oldest daughter's 17th birthday. The house is absolutely adorable and, as someone that loves the charm of old house and all the quirks they possess, I really fell in love with this house as soon as we walked in. Everyone was comfortable, thoroughly enjoying the hammock on the porch and short walk to the beach, we really had a wonderful stay... We were sad to leave when it came time to check out!

Perfect Porch

Our family lived on this large perfect screened porch …sitting in the rocking chairs, swinging in the hammock, eating, reading, talking, laughing. The sea and brown pelicans were close by with the ocean’s breeze ever present. The cottage provides everything we needed for a lovely vacation!!! Look forward to returning!

Charming cottage on the beach!

This is an absolutely charming classic beach cottage that is distinctly different from the newer houses being built these days. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were super comfortable. The main living area was very spacious and the screened in porch was a great place to hang out and listen to the sound of the ocean. There are beach views from almost every room in the house. The decor fit the time period of the house perfectly. The beach is literally right out the back door and was not too crowded. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful beach stay.

Beachy and lovely

We loved our stay at the house. However I wish we had been made aware of the ongoing dredging project on the beach, as we were not expecting a large black pipe to be obstructing our oceanfront view. I wish this had been communicated upfront. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Great ocean view

It’s an old house so you have to take that into consideration- I felt it had a lot of charm and history. There’s a coffee table book that tells the history of the house. We biked to Center St when we wanted to visit restaurants and shops. It was a very nice ride. The house is on the east end of Artic so you basically have a private beach. It’s quiet and we had a great breeze. I loved everything about our week in this house!

Beautiful View

We stayed for a week in June. The outdoor porch was perfect for relaxing with the ocean in view. Easy access to the beach. Only downsides were that there wasn’t much beach at high tide and the kitchen was small and didn’t have a full size fridge or dishwasher. Was a bit difficult to fit food for seven people for the week. Also the doors throughout the house would either stick or slam on their own. Just one of those things with older houses. Overall we had a great week and would stay again.

Quaint Serene Cottage

We had a great time with our family, celebrating a milestone birthday. The A/C worked better than we had anticipated which was really nice considering we are locals to the area, and expected climate conditions to be worse for such an old house. We were concerned with only having one bathroom but that didn't seem to be a problem either! We'd only hope that the private walk to the beach had been on more of a level ground (like decking similar to the neighbors). Overall a great trip! Would return! xoxo The Thornley Family

Perfect location.....

Very lovely older cottage in the perfect setting on Folly Beach. We were able to surf and paddle board right in front of the house! Our pup also enjoyed her time on the beach and the screened porch where we spent much of our time. We would choose this location again!

Porch breezes

This is the second year we have rented this lovely old cottage. And even in the hot hot summer it was perfect. The porch is still the gathering place, the huge dining table a jolly place to eat, and the nearness to the beach allowed us to swim twice a day.

This home is Front Beach. You will be waking up to the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. The spacious screen porch offers you outdoor living at all hours of the day and times of the year. This stretch of beach is far less crowded then other areas on the island and if you enjoy surfing, there is a nice little surf break just a few steps away. This home is full of charm, warmth and character. A lovely place to call home while visiting Folly Beach and Charleston.
