There is a 40 lb weight limit for dogs. Restricted breeds include Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios, Chow, Mastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, Akita, Wolf hybrids, Cane Corso, Great Danes, Alaskan Malamutes, Boxers, Huskies, American Bulldogs, Mini Bullies, and Belgian Malinois. This includes mixes of these breeds as well.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Could see the ocean from the living room. Could hear the waves while eating breakfast. The place was very dog friendly with a place to bring our dog on the first floor to do his business. I loved how fast the response was when I had a issue.

The unit's furniture was worn out, damaged, and uncomfortable. Too few drawers and hangers in the bedrooms. The refrigerator was not full size and could not hold much which caused me to spend vacation time making several trips to the market.

Love the location, the size of the building makes the beach not crowded. The rooms and service are pretty good. Indoor and outdoor pools. Pet friendly!! We have 2 small dogs that travel with the family.

Dog friendly and quaint

This was our third time staying and we plan to continue making a stay a yearly experience. We like that it's relaxing and usually quiet. My dogs have no problem sleeping in the room while we spend the day at the pool, hot tub, or out on the beach. The staff are quick to step in if other guests are being loud or dangerous in the walkways or common areas. Each room is a little different and you get what you pay for. Nothing super duper fancy, but we like it.

I loved the balcony and the bedrooms. Didn’t love the roaches, pots and pans and not having a pull out couch. The room stated it would sleep 10, but had a king, two doubles and pull out bed from the wall. That would only sleep 8 in my opinion

Cockroaches are everywhere sadly. Beautiful resort but it seems to be a huge issue there. Terrified to take my bags into my house. Just be cautious of that. :(

Couldn't even stay

I contacted the hotel but couldn't get through, so I called Vacasa to confirm their dog policy. I asked if my mixed-breed dogs—one slightly over the weight limit—would be allowed. They assured me it was fine, so I booked. After hours of driving, I arrived only to be told by the hotel that they wouldn't make exceptions despite Vacasa's approval. At 6 PM, I was left without a check-in. On top of that, the property was poorly maintained, and the area felt unsafe. I would not recommend it.This keeps ye any further tweaks!

Not a 5 star but not a 1 star.

The room itself was nothing fabulous, but it was enough for us to eat our meals, sleep at night and do our laundry. There was still some dog hair on the floor under the couches and beds, but it was a little concering. The pictures online do not match the room either. It makes you think you are getting 4 beds and 2 kitchens and a full fridge. No, you really get 1 living room, a murphy bed, 2 double beds, and a king bed. Along with a mini freezer and a mini fridge along with a mini fridge in the king room. The kitchen was a little bare, no pot holders, or pizza cutter, or baking trays. We made due without but those things would of been nice. The resort itself was clean all the time. There was always staff around cleaning the halls or the pools, the pool chairs, making sure the water in the hallway and elevators was wiped up and cleaning the doors. The building itself if older, but it didn't stop my family from having a good time. The pools were clean and the resort is right on the beach. If we came back we would stay here again.

Not accurate to photos

In the photos, and description it showed and listed a number of beds, but when we were arrived it did not have the same number that we needed to accommodate all our guest. There was also a mini fridge and mini freezer, instead of a full-size refrigerator as seen in the photos. There were a number of things that were different from the photos shown. And overall to the hotel was not very clean or an enjoyable stay

Satisfied with all accommodation then realized the first night after unpacking and settled in; a roach problem. Noted roach traps in cabinets and under the sinks meaning to me hotel aware there's a problem. Hands tied due to vacation time, and schedule for all and unable to cancel. We cleaned and stomped 4- 7 roaches a day, kept all things tied up in plastic bags. Packed for return to home with extreme caution and care. Lord help us not to take anything home that we didn't bring.

Fun family vacation

My family of 5 plus 1 dog had a wonderful time! It is in essence a studio that has been joined with a 1 bedroom. There is a stackable washer/dryer and a galley type of kitchen. There is an under counter fridge and freezer in that area but no dishwasher. The coffee pot is for drip coffee. There is also a small fridge in the studio unit with a microwave and another drip coffee. Total of 2 full baths and in the living area, which opens to the balcony (with a great view of the beach and ocean), there is a Murphy bed. The actual Murphy bed and living/den area was clean but just needs some work. The Murphy bed was like a sofa bed re: comfort and the floor looked dirty but it was just the way that the floor moulding was finished. Just looked sloppy. WiFi was great, but the use of the tv screens was a little difficult. Our dog is 30 lbs, please note that I saw a dog 50 lbs being turned away. They are very strict about the pet rules. Elevators move quick, there are trolleys but only a couple. That being said, everyone seems very kind and hospitable. We didn’t know you can’t have anything but a beach umbrella on the beach at Myrtle, so writing it here for anyone else who didn’t know.

Disappointed

Checked in Saturday evening and at dark the roaches began crawling! Went to front desk and was told that they were coming in because of lots of rain and they weren't the type you had to worry about packing home. She offered to have it sprayed. I expressed concern for safety of my dogs with insecticide. She said it was very safe after it dried. It was sprayed Monday evening and we kept our dogs out all evening. The cockroaches never even slowed down but one of my Shih tzus became very ill that night and suffered with diarrhea for several days after. I've been staying here about 15 years but will not stay again! Forgot to mention that the beds were miserably uncomfortable. My husband slept on the couch all week

Loved the concept and idea of being able to take your pets on vacation. The room still needs some updating and had roaches like previously mentioned in other reviews. Staff was amazing and always willing to help.

Palmetto bugs, also known as the American cockroach, are native to this area. The bugs live in the Palmetto trees that dot our property. We have an active maintenance program to limit these pests. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement, and we will follow up with the owner regarding your feedback. We hope to host you again.

Not as pictured!

The staff at Ocean Park could not have been more helpful, more pleasant, and a joy to be around. The unit 520 and 524, which we have rented in the past, was not up to par and was not like we rented it last year. Much furniture missing, no lamps in the living area or a coffe table, toilet in the main bathroom had been changed. It was not seated, so had to have a plumber sent up to redo the toilet. Two double beds and a king(not like last year or as pictured). No cabinets as pictured in king room, very little storage for a month stay. The first day was a nightmare, but the staff came through. The resort itself offers everything that we require.
