The big draw to this property is how overly pet friendly it is! Some say it even caters more to dogs than to people. Onsite services include FURology Paw Spa & Retreat offering dog-sitting and grooming services. We also have a great pool area and sundeck for guests to enjoy.

There is a 40 lb weight limit for dogs. Restricted breeds include Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios, Chow, Mastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, Akita, Wolf hybrids, Cane Corso, Great Danes, Alaskan Malamutes, Boxers, Huskies, American Bulldogs, Mini Bullies, and Belgian Malinois. This includes mixes of these breeds as well.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Loved it

I love this hotel. We had an amazing room. Friendly staff. Loved seeing all the dogs. Hardly ever heard any barking but when I did it didn't bother us at all. We will definitely be back next year.

Decent but needs a little work

Pictures inaccurate regarding furniture and setup. Several electrical outlets (for lamp, coffee maker) did not work. Microwave did not work. Bed was stiff. View was amazing and room was clean. Staff was friendly.

Great value

The room was clean and the view was amazing. The staff at the front desk was challenging. One young man in particular threw a fit when I asked for towels but the staff we encountered throughout the stay was friendly. The view and the pools were very nice. I love the free dvd station. The communication with the owner was friendly and responsive, the only negative I would say is the area to get to our rooms was dirty people left trash out a lot. Not sure they knew about the trash shoot. Also our cieling was peeling bad, we woke up a few times to chunks of paint on the floor. Minor concerns, overall we would stay there again

Not worth the money

Our room wasn’t clean when we arrived. There was trash on the balcony as well as in the room. Both hot tubs were inoperable while we were there. Not a big enough space for dogs to go to the bathroom.

Loved that unit had no carpet and was clean. Very dog friendly. The facility shows age and could use a facelift paint and landscaping. Our unit inside did appear to have been painted recently. I read other reviews that there was sand upon arrival but I think it is some of the textured ceiling coming down. We had several children above us that were having a good time above us running playing it didn't bother us but we did find some debris on the floor which appeared to look like sand.

Less than what I expected

We stayed at Oceanpark in March and rented from an individual that owned the specific condo at that time. Was hoping to have a good experience this time around because we do bring our small dog. Room 508 was not up to par. We called maintenance because the ceiling was LITERALLY falling on us and on the floor. It’s the old type of “popcorn ceiling” and it constantly shedded drywall on us. Also a huge hole in the kitchen wall behind the door. You also couldn’t open the fridge if the bedroom door was shut because it wouldn’t clear the door knobs so that wasn’t fun. Had 4 in our party staying and were given 3 towels and they made you exchange constantly if you wanted more. I felt like I had to beg for a towel lol. Overall it was outdated and cleanliness was mediocre. I wouldn’t rent from VACASA again and not even sure if I would rent a condo from Oceanpark again. I’ve noticed more complexes are becoming pet friendly nowadays so I would definitely look around and make this a last resort if you have to. I would say it’s comparable to a low grade Motel 6 if you’re okay with that. I personally think there’s too many other options in Myrtle to settle for this place.

Not all of what it is hyped up to be!!

The view was nice, but the place had roaches and bugs. I was told they was going to clean & spray that morning when I left out but when returned that evening nothing had been done. The management company didn’t have clean blankets, or towels when requested. No beach towels are offered by management! The ventilation is dusty, old, and is being held up with 2x4 wooden boards. Nevertheless I checked out early and my asthma has been totally inflamed!

Great location, and great rates!

This was a nice rental, but the place needs an update. Furniture has been around since the '80's, couldn't close the door to the bedroom because the refrigerator sits out too far, and could not open the oven door because of the framing of the door to the living area. Employees were wonderful and helpful...but a bit of money would make this a great place.

Great beach area

This hotel is what you pay for. Not the greatest in the world but I really enjoyed my stay there. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us. Staff was great and facilities were alright. Beach was the best part. Not very crowded because of the location which made it very relaxing. I would stay here again.

This place is nice.

This was a nice little get away! The dogs enjoyed them selves. One of my dogs has really bad anxiety so it's hard for us to find a comfortable place for him to stay and he had no problem he didn't hear the fireworks or other people at all. We really enjoyed the stay.

Not what we expected

The condo was dated, rusty shower curtain pole and peeling paint. It was impossible to use the TV asked the front desk what I was doing wrong and they couldn’t even figure it out. I also didn’t like paying fees to both VRBO and Vacasa the property management company. We most likely will not stay again.

Ocean park stay

Only problem was all the emails, a email saying that if I don’t verify, reservations may be canceled, I had to call to make sure it was not canceled. then a email saying it was time to check out, click to check out, I didn’t see email tell end of day. if not for the emails, everything else was great, friendly staff, nice indoor pool, and out door and indoor hot tubs, nice clean rooms. And it was dog friendly bought our lab with us. We will be staying again in the future.

Perfect beach front view

The view from the balcony is fantastic!! The room is simple but clean. Has the needed items in the kitchen (for some reason we didn't have a coffee pot). We loved being able to bring our dogs with us on vacation and still stay on the beach. We were very happy with our stay!
