Cabins on Knopp School-Czech Cabin - Private Hot Tub - Romantic Getaway

The Czech Cabin is a perfect country getaway experience that is located just 6 miles from downtown Fredericksburg. This cabin was built using antique oak logs from an 1800’s log cabin and yet has all the modern amenities and conveniences including a full-size kitchen.
Enjoy your glass of wine or morning coffee on the porch rockers; sit in front of a beautiful limestone fireplace; take a long soak in a claw-foot tub (plumbed with shower head) or relax in your private hot tub surrounded by a stucco wall.
Take a stroll around the property where wildlife and song birds abound. Tranquil and breath-taking hill country views, beautiful sunsets, and amazing star-gazing await you. The owner has purchased 2 new golf carts for guests to use to drive around the property. (No one under the age of 18 are allowed to drive the carts!) Please return the carts back to the garage after you use them.
Please note that Czech Cabin is perfect for couples. The homeowners request no pets and no children.

The location is a perfect private romantic getaway. The host were great, we had an issue getting the fire place lit and they quickly respond with a solution.

Hiking stay

The cabin was just the right size and the view was good. We were visited by many animals which was fun to watch. Hot tub after hiking was great and watching the stars relaxing in the hot tub was amazing.

Wonderful Weekend

We enjoyed the cabin and its setting. The hot tub was very private and the view from the kitchen of the pasture and cattle was very peaceful. I highly recommend this place!

Perfect anniversary getaway

Such a cozy and welcoming cabin. Dark enough outside to see all the stars from the hot tub! Loved watching the sunset from the porch and seeing all the deer.

Great place to stay!

My wife and I spent our 7th anniversary here and had a wonderful time. The property was beautiful with lots of wildlife to keep us entertained between our trips into town. We had such a lovely time that we have told everyone we know to visit.

Nice private getaway

This is a great property. The privacy of the enclosed patio with the hot tub was perfect. The bed was comfortable. The living, kitchen & breakfast nook were all comfortable, which made the home feel roomy. We spent the mornings on the front porch drinking coffee & watching the deer & cows. Suggestions for the kitchen would include a better coffee pot & not relying on the prior guests to have cleaned their dishes. We felt we needed to wash everything we used before we used it (like lipstick on a coffee mug). The bathroom could use another table or pedestal for setting toiletries & some bar soap, but these were minor issues. Access to the property was easy & we felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. We loved being five miles out of town. That really fit our speed. All in all, we definitely recommend this cabin for a couple seeking privacy & avoidance of the crowds. We enjoyed it.

Labor Day weekend stay!

Cabin is beautiful! Not the cabin we initially chose to stay, somehow “keys” might have gotten mixed up. Over all was a great stay! Very clean and location and scenery is beautiful!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed in all the hidden fees that were charged. Was charged for taxes 3 times, 115$ processing fee because we paid with a credit card, a cleaning fee, hotel fees. At checkout I received a text message for a list of chores to complete before leaving such as adjust the thermostat , start the dishwasher, take out the trash. Ect I was already charged a cleaning fee. Also, there was a unpleasant smell in the restroom that never went away.

The only issue, small as it is, is with the size of bed. King would be better and the mattress needs replacing. Hard to sleep on. Otherwise, wonderfull.

Perfect Escape

Reviewer Comments: If you are looking to get away from the bustle of city life but still want to be within about a ten-minute drive to town, the Czech Cabin is the perfect spot. Although the owners' home and another rental cabin are within close proximity, all three properties are situated so that you feel secluded and private. The property itself is beautiful. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch overlooking green pastures without another person or building in sight. The hot tub is so inviting in the evenings and the stargazing is breathtaking. The house itself is beautiful and clean with little touches all around that make it very cozy and comfortable. We absolutely loved the clawfoot bathtub/ shower, but it might be a challenge to get in/ out if you have mobility or balance issues. Everything about our experience was wonderful and we will definitely be back if we head towards Fredericksburg again. Highly recommend.

We sat on the porch to watch horses, deer and enjoyed nature; we relaxed in the private hot tub and admired the the spacious retreat. Easy 15 min drive to Fredericksburg. We almost didn't want to go into the city as we were so content. We will be back.

Peaceful, Quiet, Blissful, Relaxing

This little cabin in the country is exactly what we needed. I booked the weekend to give my wife some quiet time away from the kids for her Birthday. This place is exactly what the DR ordered. Ken & Henrietta have done an amazing job decorating the cabin. It was furnished with everything needed for a weekend. trip. All we needed was out clothes and a toothbrush. The hot tub was a great amenity in the cool evenings. In the morning we sat at the breakfast table drinking coffee watching the deer play in the pasture. Even though the owners were on the property, we did not feel like we were pressured or being managed at all. Henrietta came back from a morning run while we were walking the property and we had a nice chat, and that was our only interaction with them. The cabin is in really great shape. All the things you need. One slight thing that might be updated in the future would be a new mattress for the bed. Its getting a bit up there in mileage. But it did not cause any sleep issues for us.

Upon entering the cabin, the first thing we noticed was how cozy and amazingly clean. We had a few things planned in town, but when we saw how amazing the cabin and property were, we decided to only spend one day exploring and the other day enjoying the relaxation that the cabin and its incredible views provided. Definitely, booking again soon. Thanks to the amazing Hosts, you guys were awesome. Thanks 😊
