Welcome to Horizon South 43-A which is located inside of a gated community and is loaded with amenities! Located just a short walk from the front door to the beach, your stay at Horizon South is conveniently located close to the beach and within 2 miles of Pier Park which is full of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Inside of the complex you can enjoy 4 swimming pools, a large hot tub, tennis courts, 18-hole mini golf, billiards, shuffleboard, and more! (Note: Armbands are required for use of outdoor amenities and can be purchased at the office for a one-time charge of $20 per person. Parking is a one-time fee of $25.) Message me for details. Inside of 43-A there are 2 televisions with cable, stove, convectional oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer, queen bed, bunk beds, and a sofa which pulls out into a bed.

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean and Shannon was extremely quick to respond and very helpful. It was perfect for our family of 5.

Couldn’t check in until 5, cleaning lady was still there . Mold on shower curtain. Was not cleaned , and smelled like cigarette smoke and dog hair everywhere.

Helpful owner

The owner was wonderful to work with. She was quick to respond to questions and concerns. The property is in need of some updates and deep cleaning, but overall, if you are looking to save some money and be in a good location this property is great. We didn’t love that we had to pay $100 to use the pools even if we didn’t want to swim/use amenities. That had changed since we booked. It’s a short walk to the beach and again, very affordable in comparison to other properties. Beaches nearby are beautiful!

Wanted to enjoy but couldn’t

I wanted to enjoy my stay but unfortunately I didn’t.. When I first arrived it was hell getting into the place, I understand security precautions but this was just to much for me. When I first arrived the toilet was broken and most of the lamps were not working. Than there was laundry already in the dryer when I arrived had to fold and put away. The dryer is physically impossible to clean out the vent. There was bunk beds in the hall way which had no air flow to them so it was extremely hot in there as well. Also when you state the beach is across the street be more specific, when you say across the street I’m thinking a few steps and I’m there.. no this wasn’t the case we had to drive to public beach just to enjoy it.. I’ve been to the beach multiple times and never had I experienced it like this.. I will not be back here again! Thank you

Thank you for the review. I can’t help but wonder if the bad review is because I asked you to pay for damages done to the condo. Just some friendly advice to you for the future… if you have issues during your stay you should contact the owner and make them aware of any problems so that they can be corrected. As for the condo location, it is less than a 5 minute walk from the front door to the sand. There are pictures in my listing that shows the aerial view of the complex. The dryer vent is very possible to clean. You simply reach in and pull the vent out and then put back in. I would’ve been more than happy to explain any of these things to you during your stay but since I’m just now finding out about the impossible dryer vent, the lamps that simply needed to be plugged into the wall, and the long walk 5 minute walk that you had to endure to get to the beach, I now don’t have the option to help out. Thanks for the review that I’m sure had nothing to do with me asking for money because of the door frame you destroyed or the grass you killed outside my front door by laying large rocks on it for 4 days.

Great Location

The pictures for this place doesn’t do it justice. It was beautiful, well maintained and clean. Communication with the owner was great during the whole process. It is a very short walk to the beach. As we were there for the Thunder Beach Bike Rally, the traffic was terrible, but with access to beach road and also Hwy 98 was definitely a plus. It was wonderful to also have Coconuts restaurant within walking distance too. Just in a great location all around. We will definitely be booking with this owner again.
