Welcome to the country! 10 minutes to city center statesville, 25 minutes to Lake Norman, 1 hour to Charlotte airport, 1 1/2 hours to ski resorts, 25 minutes to NASCAR garages, 1 1/2 hours to Asheville.

This retreat is just that! If you want to get away from it all, this location provides privacy and quiet. Although, you are 18 minutes away from stores such as Publix, Hobby Lobby, etc. there is a Food Lion and gas station within 5 miles. The 3 bedrooms were clean and cozy! The dining room, living room and kitchen had ample space to get around each other and the bare windows allowed nature views to take over. Washer and dryer was a nice feature. The yard or cut grass area is small but a deck and fire pit are nice features. I had a huge amount of rain and with that a lot of mud. The driveway itself is an adventure! Thank you hosts for the ease of check in and check out and Wi-Fi access (especially in this kind of weather).

Really enjoyed the property - it feels like you're in the boonies, but really just a couple miles away from 'civilization'.Check in was very easy - Paul and Heather emailed me the code to the front door. Kitchen was nice and pretty well apportioned. Couldn't get the trash compactor to work so just used it as a waste basket. The light above the stove (part of the microwave) didn't work either. But we managed just fine.We spent most of the time either on the front porch or the deck/patio out back - depending on what the weather was doing. Really enjoyed our stay !!!

Peaceful retreat for people and pets

We had an amazing time at this beautiful home tucked away in the woods. It is so quiet and relaxing. Our dog could run off leash. We thought it was going to be out of our way traveling on I 77 but it was actually just a few miles off of interstate. We are already hoping for another excuse to travel this way so we can stay again. Paul and Heather are easy to communicate with. The beds are very comfortable. The house is very well stocked. There were a few very minor things that would make it even better for us. There are a limited number of washcloths, no hair dryer that we could find and it would be nice if there were some shower products so you didn’t have to haul your shampoo soap etc. The golf cart use was a huge plus for us. Firewood is provided for the fire pit and wood fireplace in the living area. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful property.

Fabulous stay!

Myself and a couple friends came to the area on our motorcycles. We were looking for somewhere quiet, outside of town, and with room to spread out inside and out. Also with easy access to places to ride out on the motorcycles each day. This place was exactly what we were looking for. Enjoyed the outdoor area, used the grill every evening, the house was clean and well maintained, and all aspects of the house were beyond perfect for us. Have recommended this house to others and we hope to stay again!

AKC nationals

We came up from north Florida for 4 nights for the AKC nationals. This place was absolutely beautiful, roomy (we had 5 adults and had our own areas) and extremely private. We try to stay away from hotels when traveling with the dogs to have a safe place and this was a great place for just that and was literally 10 minutes from where we spent our days at. The hosts also respond extremely quickly when we had questions prior to check in. We will definitely stay here again!!

A Wonderful Place to Stay

I cannot recommend this property enough! We stayed at this property in Sept of 2024 after Helene came through our area. The owners went out of their way to get this property ready for us to stay in and we are forever grateful! This house is secluded and quiet but close to everything. It was perfect for our family and perfect for a family with small kids because I did not have to worry about my toddler falling down a flight of stairs. My dog really loved it also! Thank you guys again!

Depends on the weather

Nice private location. Enjoyed watching the deer in the yard until the weather got cold.However, being out in the woods brought flies, stink bugs and mouse droppings. Kitchen supplies were fair, towels also.Probably would enjoy the outdoors location more in the spring, summer or fall!

Amazing Place

Paul was a great host and was very attentive and quick to reply! Beau’s retreat was such a relaxing and beautiful property and cabin. We had to evacuate our home in Asheville and came here for several weeks and it was very relaxing and peaceful!

Secluded house in the woods

Paths in the woods to explore. Also golf cart available for use. Pasture for your horses although we did not bring any.

Wedding retreat

Better than the pictures

The pictures didn’t do this place justice. Lots of room! Beautiful property. About 5 minutes from the house is a place that sells Porta-Pit chicken. It’s only open Wednesday and Friday until 7pm for take out! It’s a must for anyone staying

Story book cabin

If you are looking for a secluded log cabin in the woods, this is the place for you! We enjoyed our quiet and peaceful surroundings. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable. We felt like we were in a story book.

Fantastic place

Due to an unexpected medical emergency while traveling we needed a place for family members to stay when driving here from out of state to visit a loved one. It proved ideal as we managed to sleep 9 people and two small dogs at one point. It is a beautiful cabin nestled in a panel and secluded woods only 25 minutes from the hospital. Would definitely stay here again (hopefully under better circumstances)!!
