Damien was fantastic. I’ve stayed at several STR and his responsiveness and hospitality was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Cabin was in a great location and had everything we needed.

Damien was the “host with the most”! From the very beginning, he was super responsive and receptive to all of our questions. The house is exactly as pictured and had everything we needed for a month stay. Our favorite thing was sitting in the chairs by the river and just relaxing… we would highly recommend a stay at this excellent VRBO!

Amazing Visit

The place is amazing, was perfect for me and a couple of friends to go hang out in nature, and the home is extremely clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place!

Amazing family getaway

We had an amazing stay at this rental. This was by far the most well equipped rental we've ever stayed at. We spent countless afternoons hanging out by / in the creek. There was tons of room for the kids to run around in the yard and wear themselves out. We did also catch several fish of various sizes from the creek. Internet was more then adaquete for my wife and I to work remote while we were there. The kids loved the bunk beds and we spent several nights working on puzzles that were provided. Overall, 10/10 experience. Owners were very attentive and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back in the future.

Cute Creekside Oasis

Wanted a cute, 2 bedroom house for a quick weekend stay. The house had everything we needed - well stocked kitchen, lots of fresh towels and toiletries, tons of puzzles, games and dvd's, a mountain creek, and central location to hiking, apple picking, waterfalls and Smokey Mountains. Everything we needed and nothing we didnt!

High Standards

This home has every comfort of home making it very enjoyable to vacation in. The quality of everything in the home is superb. Enjoyed an evening glass of wine by the creek after a day of hiking. Look forward to coming back again.

Great escape

Wonderful creekside retreat just as advertised. No trout caught but local fly shop owner said local creeks are stocked in spring, so numbers were down in the fall. House has everything needed for terrific stay.

Perfect Weekend Escape

We just returned from an awesome stay at this house! The house had everything we needed, was super clean and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept great! The back porch is awesome and we absolutely loved the property. My kids had a blast playing in the river and exploring the property. We ventured into Franklin and also found a few great hikes super close. We went to a gem mine and just relaxed at the house. It was super convenient and there is even a great park that we walked to and played some softball. Overall- this is a perfect place to get away and find peace and quiet and some great family down time. Thank you to the hosts who made this a 5 star experience.

Beautiful Property

We very much enjoyed our stay and were impressed with not only the house and amenities but also the responsiveness of the host. We had a small issue with a wi-fi password upon arrival and the issue was resolved within a matter of minutes with just a few txt messages with Damien. Check -in/check-out instructions and property info were very clear and the list of local places nearby for food/gas/groceries/etc was very helpful as we were not familiar with the area. Home itself is great and very comfortable. The Back deck is MASSIVE and is a great place to relax and overlook the large creek that runs through the backyard. I would 100% recommend this place for your stay if you plan to visit the area.

Something for everyone, backyard creek, hiking and more! A hidden gem in Franklin!

I recently had the privilege of staying at this gem of a property in Franklin. From the moment we arrived, our host was easy to communicate with, we had some questions about the property, and he was responsive and so helpful. It's convenient to downtown Franklin, nature, hiking trails etc, this location offers the best of both worlds. One of the standout features has to be the refreshing creek in the backyard. I was thrilled to discover that you can fish right out back, offering a tranquil fishing experience that I've rarely found elsewhere. There's something special about casting a line in your own backyard. We also loved cooling off in the creek after a hot day of hiking. (Bring water shoes to explore!) The proximity to downtown Franklin is a bonus on days when you want a break from hiking. Being just a short drive away, we enjoyed local dining and shopping for the afternoon. Yet, when we got home, it felt like we were a world away, secluded in our own private slice of nature. Just a walk down the street, there is a playground and pickleball courts - bring your rackets! The property is well-maintained and resonates with a warmth that makes you feel instantly at home. Whether you're an avid fisherman, nature lover and like to hike or just someone looking for a serene getaway, this place offers it all. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to experience the magic of Franklin, NC. We will certainly be returning when we need to escape the city!

Great Property - Great host

We are relatively frequent users of vacation rentals and I must say that the communication with Damian has been the best of all. The property is very well equipped and offers wonderful privacy. The driveway is touring motorcycle friendly and the location offers easy access to Franklin and major roads to the many sights in the area. The creek was running a little low, but still enough flow for kayakers and tubers to navigate its winding path. Internet service is limited - probably not suitable for remote work requiring high bandwidth (e.g., Zoom calls) - but we were able to stream movies in the evening. We very much enjoyed our 13-night stay!

Family friendly home

We enjoyed our stay at Creekside Hideout. I communicated with the owner directly and had no issues. The home is well-equipped, nestled in the trees with a serene creek at the rear of the property. The town of Franklin has everything you would ever need. This was a last minute booking, all went as planned.

You will not be disappointed

Stay here for the backyard alone! Beautiful deck, screened porch, and patio/firepit by the creek. Creek was just right for kids to play in. House was very clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. One of the easiest rentals we have been to - everything was covered in the guidebook emailed to us ahead of time. House is well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked. Easy communication. The location was right off the highway making it easy to get out for adventures. So many things to do in the area - also covered in the guidebook!

Exceptional Property!

This property was everything one hopes for in a VRBO. Very clean with comfortable beds in all rooms. The large back deck was great while my children played in the bold creek. Location is also a plus. Franklin, Highlands, and Nantahala are all an easy drive. Owner is prompt with communication. 5 Stars for sure!!

Creekside Hideout is truly like being in your own private oasis. Almost 4 acres of land around you. Some is sparsely filled with trees and lots of green grass while the rest is forest with walking paths. The home feels great inside and out. Looking at the stars while sitting around the creekside campfire is special. The water is always there for you to hear, look at and dip your toes (or full body) in. We provide bath towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and cooking items like oil, salt, pepper, spices, etc.

It's only minutes from the conveniences of a town like Franklin with cafes, shops, supermarkets, yoga & more while giving you the feeling of being in a private oasis. World famous hiking trails are literally steps away.
