Steps to the Beach Pet friendlyHouse. Pool & hot tub! 3 minute walk to beach!

Welcome to Life's a Beach! Our home is semi oceanfront and less than 5 minute walk to the beach! It has 4 BR's and 2 Baths and TV's in all rooms. Live TV with sling . Netflix and other streaming available. Eat at the kitchen counter or at our family friendly dining room table. There is also a front porch with seating area. Great for family game nights! Board games , cards and more! Enjoy the inground pool and hot tub. There is an outdoor shower as well! Sit outside on the top deck and enjoy the ocean view, sounds and breeze! Barbecue at home or enjoy one of the local restaurants. We have made our home pet friendly so you don't have to leave your 4 legged kids at home! We have plenty of pool toys, pails and shovels for the kids! So pack your bags and head down to Life's a Beach for a great vacation!

We do not supply your linens or towels due to being pet friendly but we have a great company if you choose to rent them. Their website is hatterashelpinghands,com or call them directly 252-995-3390. We have recently updated a few things.

House is in a perfect location with a short walk to the beach! The pool and hot tub were nice for when the weather wasn’t good for a beach day. Would definitely stay here again!

We had such a great time at Life’s a Beach! Kathy was wonderful, she’s a very responsive and helpful host- She was quick to answer all questions. It was perfect for the WHOLE family! My kiddos loved the games that were available and my fur baby loved being able to come along. We will absolutely be back

Our stay was great. We took out grandkids for a mini vaca, this home was perfect. Plenty of space, games, and pool. Best of all it was very clean. Would stay again.

Relaxing

We had awesome 2 week stay did beach walks 2 times a day. Enjoyed pool and hot tub. Rain overfilled pool and washed some sand into it but we skimmed the two lizards that went for swim and a few bugs and just enjoyed our time so happy they shared their beach house with us and our fur babies. Ate a lot of shrimp and met neighbor, also duck donuts is good!

Outer banks family trip

House was perfect for what we needed it for. It was clean and the pool and hot tub were amazing. The only downside was the closeness of the back neighbors and the walk to the beach(last part seems outer banks thing). We would go back!

Quaint house in a great location!

This house was so quaint and in a perfect location. From what I have read this house is under new owners and I can not wait to see what they do with it! The location and the pool make this the perfect hidden gem! Loved bringing the pup too!

Walkable to beach

Clear check-in instructions. Property is easy to find. Walkable to beach. House is nicely decorated and has tons of kitchen gadgets to make just about anything. 2 min drive to grocery store and restaurants.

Had some issues that were communicated to the owner who took care of it. Would stay there again to give it another shot, as the location was great.

Great Location!

Short walk to the uncrowded beach, located on a quiet street but still close to the amenities in town. The house is comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen, and was a good size for our family. The pool was a welcome feature for both the adults and kids! Communication with owner and checkin were smooth & easy. Cleaning crew could be more thorough. Overall we had a great week at the beach!

Great place for the price

This property was amazing. The only issue was the pool wasn't clean. The water was dirty and we wasn't able to use it. But overall it was a good place to stay. I would book again.

Amazing home and great location.

This place is amazing, steps to beach access with a private pool, large hot tub and lots of outdoor space for sunning and playing. The home is a quick walk to a gas station and longer walk or short drive to the grocery store and dining establishments. The home is cozy with comfortable beds and a great couch for family movie night. I’d also recommend a sunset walk towards the sound for great views. This house is close enough to amenities yet secluded enough to feel out of the hustle and bustle.

Location Location Location!!! House is in the perfect location. House has everything you need! Tons of pool/beach toys as well! Love the town so many beautiful things to do! The food trucks at the pier are amazing! The sand dunes are no joke to get to beach but so worth it!! Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Get Away

Kathy is an amazing host. Responded to all my questions beforehand and didn’t have any issues with me adding my in laws 2 months before our vacation. The house is very conveniently located to the beach and there is an out door shower and foot wash that helps to get the sand off before relaxing in the pool or hot tub. We loved that we could bring our 2 dogs with us. House is a little dated, the floors felt uneven walking through the house and up on the 3rd level deck the boards felt a little spongy. A little TLC could turn this into a really amazing property. Overall we had an amazing experience and will return in the future!

Summer vacation in Avon 2024

We enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s place. The location was close to the beach and had enough room for everyone (6 people) and our Pomeranian dog. The rooftop deck (with ocean views) and spa were awesome. You can tell that Kathy has done upgrades and renovations to the vintage beach house and is continuing to do so. Avon is a sleepy beach town on the southern end of the Outer Banks. If you are looking for relaxation, this is the place for you (away from the hustle/bustle). Additionally, Kathy was attentive to our questions and concerns. Even with tropical storm Debbie passing through, Kathy was able to get the pool cleaned for us a second time (because the storm had caused debris), so that we could enjoy the pool the last few days of our stay.

Great location close to beach and nice pool

The house is in a great location with short walk to beach. The house overall needs general maintenance with warped floors and walls, one bathroom did not have cold water in the shower (the property manager was awesome and sent a repair man but he was not able to fix it. We declined to have him come back again because we were going to be at the beach and we had dogs at the house), the dishwasher has a broken seal etc. There is no pantry to store any of your food items and most of the cabinets are full so bring something to put your food in. But otherwise we had a great stay and Kathy is amazing!

Hi! We are Kathy and Steve from NJ. We visited the Outer Banks a few times and fell in love with it. So much so that we decided to purchase our own home down here. We are so happy to have made that dream a reality. We have named it Life's A Beach! because it really is in the Outer Banks!

The beach is beautiful and quiet. You are less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. We offer so much to do whether its swimming in the pool or going in the hot tub to games for the kids and adults, beach toys, horseshoes and even foosball! Plenty of room on the upper deck to take in the view of the ocean and the ocean breeze. You can BBQ on the grill or take it local dining. If you are looking for a quiet fun place to enjoy with your family this is it!
