This home has historic charm and is updated, cozy and spacious. Everything we needed was provided for. We love this area - many local things to explore but not at all overcrowded. We really hope to return.

Great home!

This house is so comfortable. We had 6 adults and we enjoyed the outside area, screened porch, den and tv area. The kitchen was well stocked and we used it to cook all but 2 meals. We all slept great and can’t wait to go back!!!

Welcoming, beautiful cabin

Our second stay in this cabin was somehow even better than the first. It is such a special place with lots of added touches and comforts. We really enjoyed the fire pit/grill/patio area with beautiful lighting, the various gardens, the field for kids to play in, the kids room upstairs with teepee, the nice bath products, the gourmet kitchen, the comfortable beds and couches, and fun assortment of books and games. Really love everything about this place!

Beautiful rustic luxury cabin with special touches

This cabin was beautiful, and we had an exceptional experience there. There are so many wonderful special touches, two great fire pits, a gourmet kitchen with everything you could possibly need, fun kids area with teepee. And it's a nice central location to many towns, waterfalls, and hikes. Owner was very responsive and went out of her way to ensure our stay was special. Highly recommend and plan to return!

All that, yes—But so much more!

The cottage is an incredible mix of warmth and elegance, w/finely handcrafted mountain furnishings, unique antiques, sumptuous decor, rugs, bedding, linens, and throws, and a kitchen that has me rethinking some of our renovation plans at home. Bathrooms are gorgeous w/boutique amenities. We loved how well the long wide hallway leading to the bedrooms and bathrooms was lined with hooks and a long bench, so our gear, coats, shoes, and bags were easily visible, handy, and not in the way! The screened-in porch looks over a gorgeous cedar and mountain laurel-lined open lawn with a fire pit that sits on a bed of moss. Off to the side we discovered a surprisingly meditation/fairy garden with an oval walkway among some well-placed mossy rocks and rock stairways, ornamental plantings, and benches for musing. The back side of the house near the kitchen had its own fire pit, grill & smoker, AND a thriving herb garden! We had no children with us, but how fantastic it would be to have a few little ones enjoying the “summer camp” themed sleeping loft upstairs with grass green throw rugs, pillow-filled tent, and adorable camp signs. Also, I now understand what it means when someone says “gourmet kitchen.” What a delight to cook and serve with these chef-grade appliances, excellent knives, lovely china, & array of oils & spices! We hiked for waterfalls each day & spent our eves cooking and playing games by the fire. Easy communication w/owner. What a perfect, memory-filled getaway!

Perfect Spot for hiking

The cabin was better than I expected and the location is ideal. Spent every day going to DuPont State Park, Caesar Head, and Pisgah. Brevard was fun for a shopping day too. Amanda, owner, was fabulous with prior to arrival emails and having the home perfectly appointed for visitors. I will definitely be back. Final note, great fire pit and plenty of room for my dogs.

Perfect Getaway With Everything We Needed and More!

A+++++ We had THE MOST AMAZING Christmas week in Brevard, NC, and fell in love with the natural beauty of Cedar Mountain Cabin/Beattie Cottage. We wanted for nothing in the fully stocked chef's kitchen and prepared many wonderful meals here, surrounded by family. Once we walked inside and saw that the host had decorated for Christmas, we felt welcomed and appreciated. Accommodations were super comfortable and exceeded our expectations on every level. The outdoor grounds are beautiful and very suitable for nature walks, with so many "nooks and crannies" to explore. We enjoyed our trip to nearby Hendersonville and spent an afternoon exploring the many shops and had a great lunch! There are so many hiking trails and waterfalls nearby to choose from. Our host was super personable and so friendly, and answered any questions immediately. She was always very easy to reach if and when we needed her. Thank you, so much, for your gracious hospitality and for sharing your home with our family! We hope to make this an annual holiday tradition and look forward to our next trip to Cedar Mountain Cabin.

House is really nice and they pay great attention to details. comfy beds and overall of everything great place ! Only thing is that you are charged a cleaning fee and on top you have to bring yourself the trash bags where they charge you another $3 per bag 😣
