The perfect getaway! I have stayed at Emma's View many times now, and will continue going back. It's a great place. Very comfortable and you will have everything you need! Highly recommend.

The Best place to stay on Lay Lake

This is the 2nd time staying at this place. We come to relax and fish. There is a boat launch on the property. The home has everything on one level. There is no stairs to climb. The home is very clean and well appointed. My 82 year young mom came with us this trip and she fell in love with home like we are ready done. Beautiful views off of wraparound porch. The sun rises in front giving gorgeous sunrises. You have long views up and down Lay Lake from the porch and have furniture on the porch to sit in. The owner is quick to get back to you with any questions you might have.

Great experience. I was in the area for a conference and my husband brought the boat so he could fish. Our daughter was also able to come for a day/night. The house is just like the photos, clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. Area was peaceful and quite. Angie was a great host.

Relaxing Staycation

Host was great! We loved staying at Emma’s View. We will recommend friends to stay here. Very clean and fresh. The back porch and patio were are favorite spots. We had a relaxing lake staycation.

I have stayed at Emma's View multiple times now, and look forward to each visit. It's a perfect weekend getaway. The view is beautiful and the house is just perfect. It is very well appointed and has everything you need for a cozy, comfortable stay. Angie is a great host and has made this home a perfect place to relax and getaway.

Great home

We just loved staying at your home. Beautiful views from the wrap around porch. The sunrise comes up in front of the home. Area was peaceful and quiet. All the bedrooms, shower, kitchen and living room was on the same floor. This helps if you are physically challenged. Bring fire starter to light charcoal grill and wood burning fire pit. Owners were quick to answer any phone calls and guide you through any questions you might have. Cannot wait to come back.

Very Nice and Clean

The property is very nice, has a great dock on a beautiful lake. This place was the perfect spot for a Talladega stay, a little bit of a drive, but not terribly far from the track , but far enough to be peaceful. The owner takes pride in the property and it shows. I will definitely rent this place again.

Little Mishaps & Great Service

We stayed at this house right after Christmas. It was a lovely home and a great location. We had a couple of things that happened. One was the door code wasn’t working at first when we arrived and another had to do with a circuit breaker for the oven. Without going into too much detail, I can share that the host was probably the most responsive host I have ever dealt with. They called, texted, and were very pleasant and kind to deal with. The location is about 30 minutes from Walmart and restaurants (in Calera). Nothing delivers to the house, so if you plan on arriving and NOT going back out for food, you’ll want to be sure to pick something up on the way in. We visited Majestic Falls (aka: Desoto Falls) and the old Shelby Iron Works (if you love old buildings and history this is a nice stop that doesn’t take a lot of time). The town of Colombiana looked like a great little town to poke around in. But since it was after the holiday everything was closed. The house itself was comfortable and had nearly everything we needed. If you’re not a dog person, be aware that the tiny “neighborhood” lets a few of their dogs roam. They may bark, but they’re friendly. We’d stay here again. I imagine the lake is VERY active during the summer months, so that would be a great time to visit.

Fantastic view!!

The property was very clean and if you want to be on the water, you couldn’t pick a better spot!! The water views and landscape across the lake are spectacular. We lived on the deck with its comfy furniture! Could not have picked a better spot to relax and we’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful Lake House!

This house is absolutely beautiful! Stunning lake view! Very relaxing get away. The house was equipped with everything we needed from cooking supplies to towels. They really thought of everything for travelers. Beds were VERY comfortable. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Highly recommend! 5 star accommodations!

This property is exactly as pictured. Beautiful, clean, and well stocked with everything you need. This is the cleanest VRBO property I have stayed in for quite sometime.
