A wonderful 3 bedroom/2 bath rental (1,000 sq

A wonderful 3 bedroom/2 bath rental (1,000 sq. ft.) with private access to Hermosa Creek. A master bedroom with King bed and ensuite bath, a second bedroom with Queen bed and a third bedroom with two twin beds awaits you. There is a second full hall bath. A fully equipped kitchen allows for quiet dinners at home. PJ's Gourmet Market and Animas Wine & Spirits are a short 5 min. drive, as is Dalton Golf Club. We are perfectly situated 10 miles from Durango and 15 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort.

We live on the property, in a separate home, so are always there should you need anything at all.

This cottage is approximately 1,000 sq. ft.

Each bedroom has a smart tv. The Master bedroom has an en suite bath and well as a desk that can be used as a workspace.

There is a hall bath that services the other two bedrooms.

This is super clean, new and nice! The hosts are super responsive and ready to assist if needed.

I’d recommend this property to all my family and friends. Awesome location, located near grocery store and great hot springs-check it out.

Just perfect!

We enjoyed our stay. This place had everything we needed and the location was perfect. The decor, cleanliness and organization felt welcoming and allowed us to relax. I enjoyed how every room had its own TV. The beds were comfortable. It also had all the toiletries so no need to bring your own. Would definitely go back.

This property was absolutely perfect for a holiday get away for my wife and I and 3 of our grown kids. We love the town of Durango, and this property was nice and quiet. The check in and check out process was very smooth and efficient, and Brittany, the on site property manager, was a joy to work with. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips to Durango.

We had a wonderful stay! The property itself it gorgeous with the creek easily accessible from the house. One of the things we were most impressed with is that they had everything we needed and more. From all the necessary kitchen utensils to a changing pad in case there were little ones. They truly thought of everything. Close to town but far enough away to feel special. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and peaceful

We had a great time staying at Paintbrush Enterprises. The house was very clean and in a very good condition. We appreciated the space around the house and the closeness of the creek. The property owners were in touch with us and very responsive. I would definitely recommend staying there. Wish there was some dedicated space for winter gear (skis/snowboards, etc.), if we went there in wintertime.

Another wonderful Christmas at

We return to this property every year to spend Christmas because it is the perfect place to cozy up and spend time together as a family. The beds and bedrooms are comfortable and cozy and the kitchen and living area have everything we need to make yummy meals and enjoy various activities including playing board games, reading, talking and opening our gifts!We so appreciate the Christmas tree where we place our gifts and love the view outside. The location is fantastic halfway between Durango and Purgatory with a grocery store nearby. I can't not say enough wonderful things about this place. We look forward to staying here again next Christmas!

Hermosa - great stay

Our stay was great. The property was well maintained and we had no complaints whatsoever. The house seems fairly new and quite spacious. We found pots, pans, utensils, extra towels, etc. In fact, we had no reason to contact the owners unless we wanted to tell them how pleased we were. We would definitely come here again should Durango be our vacation spot. Thank you Cheryl & Russell for providing such a wonderful opportunity to our family. The Boyds

Great spot for skiing at Purgatory

Brand new home in a quiet neighborhood north of Durango. The home was the perfect spot for me and my two teenagers. Everything was very clean (seemed brand new) and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to cook. It was to cold to use, but the patio looked like a perfect place to have meals in the Summer. Britany was very responsive with any questions and they even had a Christmas tree set up in the living room. Great experience.

Nice and new project property!

This was our first trip to the area. This home was spotless. Kitchen very well stocked. We really appreciated having enough coffee and toiletries for our stay. We enjoyed the location and it was not an issue to go into town each day or evening for activities. The owners were very helpful when we had a question. We will plan to return. Our only complaint was we were not able to catch any fish in the creek. We think it was just the current conditions at the time of our stay!

Durango Gem

We stayed here for a weekend with our two boys. The house was well appointed and clean, with all the amenities we could have asked for and more. Beds were very comfortable and AC was cold. It was fun exploring the creek and stargazing without the light pollution of more urban areas. We never had to contact our hosts during our stay, but they welcomed us with a handwritten note and followed up to let us know we had left our phone chargers (oops) which they promptly mailed back to us at no charge. Wow! 10 stars for hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great home in perfect location

We had the best stay here. The home had everything we needed. The sofa and loveseat in the living area is where we spent our time talking and watching TV. Everything looked brand new. Beds were comfortable. Great water pressure in the showers. Lots of hangers for clothes. We walked in the mornings, and there was great area for walks. We tried the Hermosa Creek grill our first day. It's a 5 minute walk. We normally like to try different restaurants every day, but we ate at this one every day. It is phenomenal. I wish we had this restaurant at home. Overall a great stay!

Cute, clean and convenient- But not a cottage in the woods.

Property was clean and well taken care of. There is a nice river/creek on the backside of the property. One suggestion:Add curtains to the bed rooms so that they can be darkened. It was hard to get my toddler to sleep because the room was too bright. One complaint: The listing makes it seem the property is in the woods. It is on a gravel slab with 5 other buildings. I was so confused when I arrived as there no photos indicating this on the listing. It would be helpful and appropriate for the owner to post a photo of the actual property and surrounding areas.

Wonderful property/location/hosts

Honestly, first impression of the property was "oh, that's a lot of rocks" as the front approach to the unit is all rocks, and there are multiple units on the property (so a rather large expanse of rock). HOWEVER, walk through the front door and look at the back of the property, and you won't really care about the front (which is actually convenient for parking). The interior of the unit was absolutely perfect (four adults), with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms each couple had their own space. We used the third bedroom as a "staging area" for our gear, so it was nice not to have it in our rooms. The backyard, proximity to the river, and large grassy area were absolutely beautiful. Would have liked access to the back from the back porch, but walking around to it from the side works too. A quick drive to downtown Durango, dining (walk to the Hermosa Creek Grille for breakfast!), Lemon Reservoir, Trimble Hot Springs - so much to do, and so conveniently located - I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends (in fact, I already have). The hosts were super nice, available, and accommodating. Loved the notecard and jar of honey/honey server from Honeyville (also very close by!) Could not have asked for anything more.

Great Location! Great Hosts!

We enjoyed very much our stay at this property, it was very clean, kitchen is fully equipped, we were able to cook, in the oven, grill etc. Beds are very comfortable and space is good enough for at least 5 adults, Russel was a very friendly host and made sure to give us all of the tips regarding restaurants around Also there is a beautiful creek nearby!

Spotless, beautiful, and fun

This place was immaculate when we arrived and felt like we were the first family to ever stay here. The property is beautiful with a nice open space where our kids could run around, play in the small stream, kick a soccer ball around, or even play some frisbee golf. The hosts are incredibly kind and have some of the best local recommendations for activities and food that you will ever find in Durango. This is without a doubt our first choice place to stay when we come to Durango next time.

I can't say enough nice things about this rental. It was exactly as described. We spent ten nights, and it was perfect for our family of five. The hosts were responsive, helpful, and kind. Brittany even left us a thoughtful birthday surprise for my daughters. The rental was comfortable, clean, and spacious. It was fully stocked with everything you could need with many extras you would not expect. The beds were very comfortable in all the rooms. We loved that this property had A/C, which is not common in CO. It was very peaceful and quiet - the only sounds were babbling creeks and the morning/evening sound of the Narrow Guage Durango to Silverton Train (which was fun for my ten y/o to watch go by). Ideally located between Durango and Purgatory with conveniences like a grocery store (5 min) and Hermosa Grill, which served breakfast and lunch and was delicious. I could go on and on about how satisfied we were with our stay. If you are considering booking, do it. You won't regret it.

A Perfect Stay

We stayed for 6 nights and had a wonderful experience. This is probably the best/cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The bonus was the beautiful creek running through the private property. We would gladly stay again.

Very nice

The house was extremely clean and smelled wonderful. It was in the middle between the ski resort and downtown. I can tell the owners take pride in their house and they want people to enjoy their stay. The only recommendation from me would be to put a picture of the outside of the house online. I had no idea it was a mobile home and wasn’t sure we were in the correct location when we first arrived. But once we got it all figured out it was a very nice stay.

Amazing place close to Purgatory

Russell, Cheryl and Brittany are amazing hosts!! The house was perfect for my family and teens! It’s spotless and they provide anything you could need! They sent check in info about a week before our trip with things to do in Durango as well as a dining guide. Beautiful property that backs up to the creek. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!
