Cozy White River Cabin, perfect for a couple's getaway or fishing trip!

Located in Norfork, Arkansas ... Welcoming cabin adjacent to main house on the White River. Beautiful view of the river. 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, full kitchen. Sleeps 2 comfortably on queen bed; room for 2 more on the futon in the living area.

Cabin is available to rent either stand alone, or along with the Main House. Discount is applied when you rent both. Main house view on VRBO #2005769.

We have a strict no pets policy. We also have a strict NO SMOKING policy. We also have outdoor cameras that will remain on for everyone’s safety.

First of all, the fishing for Trout in the White River is second to none! Enjoy the bluff and river views, watch majestic Bald Eagles, and watch boats float by from the outside area! Don't waste a minute of your vacation! You can fish from the bank, or rent a boat nearby (only 10 minutes away) where there are numerous fishing guides available, take the kids to the fish hatchery (about 10 minutes away) and let them fish in the catch and release area!

Or rent a boat on Lake Norfork, or Bull Shoals just a short drive away. Enjoy fishing, skiing, tubing or just relaxing! Visit the Bull Shoals Dam and take a tour; visit Ranger Boats and see how they build a boat -- visit Branson, or Silver Dollar City about a 2 hour drive away, or if you prefer, visit Blanchard Springs Caverns for an outdoor adventure!

Located at almost the end of a lane, you will be in a quiet, calm location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to enjoy all the amenities of being close by.

Amenities include TV (Roku available, but no cable), no washer/dryer available unless the main house is also rented. Internet is included.

Nice Cabin right on the water

We enjoyed our cozy stay and it was right in the white river so we where able to walk to the water and fish will be back and would book again!

Excellent stay. I plan to stay there again. It's my second visit. This property has everything you need for an extended stay. Perfect for a couple stay.

This was just what we were looking for. A quit place to kick back and relax with a beautiful view of White River. Really enjoyed watching the fishermen & women on the water. The host & Hostess very, very nice people. I would highly recommend this spot.

Very pleasant and quiet stay. Perfect for two persons. The Grill was a plus. The shower head was the only negative. All considered I'll probably book there again.

Weekend getaway

We had the best time. The cabin had everything we needed in it(we provided our own groceries). The view is second to none and the fishing is amazing. George and Kathy are wonderful hosts and guides. We will be making our trip a yearly occurrence. I cant find the words to put into this to express how great this place is. There are many other things to do besides fishing that are close by and easy to access. It was definitely a great experience. Thank you so much for having us George and Kathy.

Beautiful cottage over looking the river

Peace and quit and a perfect view of the river. The cottage is beautiful and had most everything we needed. There were no plug-ins near the bed for a C pap machine luckily there was a extension cord in the storage area. The lake and river both are great places to fish and have some fun. We give this little gem a 10 over all.

Loved the little cabin!!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!!! Cathy and George were so accommodating and sweet. They go above and beyond most hosts. We definitely will be back. If you love trout fishing, it will be an even better experience. We were there for a romantic weekend getaway. Left making some wonderful friends. The entire neighborhood is friendly and so incredibly safe. The little town of Norfolk has a brewery and a couple restaurants. We wanted for nothing. Thank you so much.

Weekend Getaway

The White River and bluff view from the cabin was absolutely beautiful and the cabin was perfect! The owners were so friendly and welcoming, will definitely be going back in the near future!

White River Retreat

The little cabin was perfect for my wife and I. Wonderful view of the river out back, we saw several bald eagles and enjoyed watching an otter fish off the opposite bank. The owners were not there but were very helpful, we spoke to them several times by phone. We hired a local fishing guide at George's recommendation and enjoyed a fabulous day of fishing on both the north fork and the white rivers. A great experience!

Great place and awesome people who run it.

If you are looking for a beautiful setting right on the White River this is it. The "cabin" is a converted woodworking shop with a huge window that looks onto the White River and adjacent canyon. Only minutes to the boat launch and bank fishing. Quiet location. If the owners are there nudge them to fish with you. Had a great time!

White River Retreat

This is a fully equipped cabin that was very clean and accommodating. Right on the White River with a beautiful view inside and out. Watch for the little train that comes by every so often across the river. It doesn’t blow a whistle so you really have to pay attention to even know it’s going by. Great place for birdwatching. We saw an eagle grab a fish out of the river and fly off with it. We fished down on the river, but there is a 6’ drop off where you have to climb down large rocks, but it was worth it!

The Best Fishing Getaway

First of all, Kathy & George Hypke are the best! We were lucky enough to actually meet them as they were there for the weekend. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, and the view from the cabin was awesome! We were very comfortable in our cabin. Kathy & George were very accommodating - Kathy shared several trout recipes and let me borrow the Foodsaver to package our trout and they both gave us tips on trout fishing. We will definitely stay there again!

White River fishing adventure

Cathy and George have created a beautiful property on the White River. It was the perfect base camp for our fishing trip. Two old fishing buddies stayed comfortably in the cabin with one in the sleeping in the bedroom and one on the futon . The views of the river and bluffs are beautiful. The location is quiet and a 10 minute drive to Norfork. The trout fishing was excellent and we look forward to returning.

So glad we found this riverfront cabin.

Such a great location. So peaceful with beautiful views of the river and bluffs. Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, deer and a visit by bald eagles. The cabin is fantastic with everything you could need. George and Cathy were super friendly hosts and quick to reply. Close to great food and boat rentals. Hope to visit again in the fall.

A perfect place along the white river. The views are amazing. The cottage is very clean.

It could not have gone any smoother. Absolutely no complaints. After spending eight days in the area, this is the place that I want to come back and spend more time.

Great Quiet Getaway !

This Property was all we could ask for ! First morning saw an Eagle out over the river with The Bluff as a backdrop! Sat out by the fire pit and watched the boats drift by ! Very Relaxing .. We will be back ! Thanks to Cathy and George for making their place so well stocked and inviting !

Nice getaway

Had a wonderful long weekend enjoying the views of the White River, hiking in the Ozarks, relaxing and fishing. The cabin had everything we needed and was very nice. I highly recommend staying here and having George take you fishing!

Hypke’s White River Retreat Cabin

Hypke’s White River Retreat Cabin Was an amazing experience and stay!! The cabin was exceptional! The view was out of this world! We were able to trout fish and even had a bald eagle fly into the tree right next to our cabin! I couldn’t have asked for a better get away vacation! You will not be disappointed if you choose their location!

Welcome! We are George and Cathy Hypke and purchased this home in 2020. We used to own a home on the same lane, and had such a good time there, bought this one, with this adjacent cabin area, so we would have more space for friends and family to enjoy! You can either rent this cabin alone, or combine it with the main house and receive a $25 per night discount for renting both.
We look forward to having you stay! I think you'll be pleased with this cabin!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The cabin is adjacent to the main home, which also rents through VRBO. You can see the home on VRBO #2005769. The cabin has a back all glass wall so you can enjoy the view of the White River! The only thing this cabin does not have is laundry capabilities; you would either need to also rent the house, or use a laundromat in town.
The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee maker, utensils, cookware, microwave, oven, and refrigerator. The cabin is new as we remodeled it in 2020, so it has all new appliances and furniture.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

It's directly on the White River, so the view is amazing. You can sit outside the back on the outdoor chairs, cook on the gas grill and enjoy the amazing sunrises and sunsets right from your property. Cabin has a television, no cable, but does have Roku set up. Also has internet there so you can make/receive calls through the internet (just set your phone to use wifi enabled calling).
Bring your own boat or rent one about 10 minutes out, where guides are also available for those not as familiar with the river or the nearby Lake Norfork, or Lake Bull Shoals. The trout fishing here is second to none, as is the bass fishing on the lakes!
