My family had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful. Homeowners were very kind and helpful. The people at the gate were friendly. I felt safe in a gated neighborhood. I loved that the home was close to so many great things on Ali'i Dr like restaurants, small shops and ocean diner cruise. Several days we walked up and down the street enjoying all of it. The home is in a great location.

We really enjoyed staying at Manta Ray Manor. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, had a full kitchen, was close to the beach and was a great place to spend five days with my family. The hosts had excellent communication skills and the house was exactly as they had described it. Highly recommended staying at Manta Ray Manor.

Relaxing Holiday

Property is quite nice- easy walk to the beach. Also very convenient to the restaurants and shops in Kona. Having 3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms was perfect for our family group.

This beautiful home was everything we hoped for and more. Quiet and secluded with a wonderful little sandy beach for our two year old, but close enough to town to walk in. I'm happy to recommend it to all.

Amazing house with a great location!

We loved our stay! The house is absolutely beautiful, clean and the location is great! It's walking distance from a little beach that's great for kids, and about 1 mile away from downtown. The views from the upstairs bathroom are breathtaking and the patio is really nice. We would love to come back and stay next time we are in Kona! The host was very responsive and provided recommendations about the area. Thank you!

Great location on the Big Island

We thoroughly enjoyed this home for our family stay. We had a set of grandparents, ourselves, and two children ages 8 & 6. The home was spacious, clean, wall appointed, and provided enough space that everyone could have their own corner. Keiki beach is a short stroll and the Airport Beach access still walkable. I highly recommend if you want a quiet neighborhood and easy access to main roadways to explore the island.

Wonderful

Our home was of high quality, immaculate condition and clearly as advertised in the listing! The location so close to the village, so close to tide pool and beach access and six or so miles from the airport was ideal. We had five adults but this home would be terrific for a family with children considering the privacy, quiet location and ocean access. The booking, the payment process and access to the home was terrific! We hope that one day we will be able to return to this fantastic property!

We stayed for a week with our 2 teenage children. The house was perfect and the hosts are great. Everyone had a comfortable bed and their own full bath which was great for getting ready for the day. House is very clean and comfortable. The nearby beach is an easy walk and is very swimmable. Plus the house is equipped with lots of beach gear and a wagon to easily carry it. Also a very easy drive into town. Nice guest book available with great recommendations. The poke place was our favorite. I would definitely book this property again. No complaints.

1 Week in Paradise

We stayed for a week at the Manta Ray Manor in Aug 2023 - 2 adults and 3 14 year old girls. First, the communications by George and Diane (the owners) was perfect. They gave all the information in a timely manner and made sure everything was perfect during our stay. The house is gorgeous and in a great location - an almost private beach 200 yds away, the athletic facilities for tennis, pickleball, swimming right next door and Kona a short walk away. Lots of room and a lovely patio area. We would return in a minute. 5+stars - Walter Beach

Immaculate home!

We spent a week at Manta Ray Manor in November, 2023. It was 3 couples that were all friends for many years and decided to take a dream vacation together. First of all, George and Diane were terrific hosts. They gave us all the information we needed before we got to Kona and kept in touch while there. We had no issues at all with the home is very well appointed. The location is outstanding with just a very short walk to the beach and into town. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood that felt very safe. The house itself is gorgeous, clean and decorated beautifully. We all agreed we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone going to Kona. Aloha!

Beautiful house just steps from the ocean

Having just completed a two-week stay with my wife and three grown kids, I can say this is a real jewel of a property. While not located right on the oceanfront, it's a two-minute walk from a cute little secluded beach, where we spent several mornings soaking in the sun. The house itself was immaculate and very roomy. The main bedroom suite was exceptional with a large lanai looking out to the ocean. My son and my daughter with her boyfriend each had their own bedroom/bath. A perfect setup. The sports fields behind the house got a bit rowdy a few nights, but the noise was drowned out by our nightly hot tub soakings. The location was great, too, as a base to explore the Big Island. The owner was very communicative and offered recommendations for restaurants. Overall, a wonderful vacation.

So Beautiful! And the prefect hosts.

George and Diane were the perfect hosts at this beautiful location. The house is spacious and nicely appointed. There were 4 adults and one teenager in our group and we felt that we had plenty of space to gather and plenty of space if we wanted a little alone time. The kitchen is filled with everything you need. The house was spotless when we arrived. The location of the house is great. It is in a gated community that is on the ocean so it's very quiet. But a short drive or slightly longer walk will get you to restaurants, shaved ice, and everything you need. Grocery stores are nearby. George communicated with us before and throughout our visit. He provided great suggestions to thing to do and places to eat. And he answered all of my questions. This could not have been a better stay!

Perfect Home Base for our Big Island Adventures

Manta Ray Manor is conveniently located in the Kailua area of Kona. It's about 20 minutes from the airport and only a 10 minute drive or 20 minute walk to lots of great bars, restaurants and shops, as well as a beach with huge waves. Also only about 10 minutes to the nearby harbor where we met our fishing boat captain and our Manta Ray snorkeling tour. While it's not located near some of the nicer hotels and resorts on the island, and therefore a little bit of a drive to get to some of the more popular restaurants, like Merriman's and Manta, it definitely worked for our stay on the big island. Huggo's is only a 10 minute drive and rivaled many of the upscale restaurants we dined at on the different islands. The house was extremely clean and had all the comforts of home, including a cooler with ice packs, spices for cooking, and plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, and even a wagon to tote everything to the little beach, Keiki Beach. While Keiki Beach doesn't have sprawling sand shores or big waves, it was a perfect little spot within walking distance ( 5 minute walk) to wade in the water and even play frisbee or throw the football-extremely family friendly-lots of kids.Manta Ray Manor's lanai was surrounded by lush plants and flowers, and was just beautiful. We enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub after long days of exploring the island. The hosts were very responsive before, during, and even after our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Manta Ray Manor luxurious home

Property and home are fairly new and very well maintained, very clean inside and out and perfect for a family or grouo of friends visiting Kona Kailua and the Big Island of Hawaii. The location is very convenient for access to downtown, you could walk to downtown restaurants and shopping if you wanted to. The little somewhat private beach is just 2 minute walk from thia home. You can snorkel at the private beach when it isnt high tide. There is a beautiful blow hole in the lava bed and incredible view of sunset from this part of the little beach. You could actually just hang out at the home and spend time @ the beach and not even leave the gated community if you just wanted to relax and unwind. We came to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday as well as our son and his girlfriend's college gradations. My son has two summer classes which required a good wifi signal for streaming class participation and the home was perfect for conducting business on line if need be. Master bedroom suite has the nice balcony and ocean view so we used it half the time and let the new graduates have it the last 5 days. Overall I'd say it was an excellent choice for a vacation rental, much better than paying for 3 rooms at one of the local resorts to accomodste all 5 of us. George our host is very nice and very good at communicating with guests, he gave us good tips on the home and area, there was a minor temporary power outage for a couple hours and George helped update us immediately!

Beautiful Home

Manta Ray Manor is a beautiful home that is well appointed and maintained. The only drawback to the home is that it butts up to the playing fields (soccer and baseball) of the local rec center. During the day this is not a problem but at night music, partying and cheering from participants and spectators is loud enough to render eating outside on the deck very difficult. We attempted to eat dinner on the deck several times but the noise from the adjacent fields made conversation impossible. It’s a real shame since it is a lovely spot. The house itself is fantastic, very clean and extremely well appointed. The hosts do an outstanding job of communicating with guests. The manual outline places to eat and things to do was very detailed and quite comprehensive. We took full advantage of the suggestions. Additionally, the subdivision staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive to residents and guests. The beach is small but incredibly convenient as it is across the street and a couple of minute walk from the front door. It does have public access with people parking at the adjacent rec center so it can get somewhat crowded on weekends but not to the extent where it is a hindrance. The house is also a very short walk (less than 3 minutes) to one of the most spectacular places in which to view the sunset each evening.While the owner cannot change the proximity of the property to the playing fields and the accompanying noise, it should be noted in the listing.

Amazing Vacation at Manta Ray Manor

This property is a hidden gem on the Big Island. The property was just incredible. My family and I (2 adults, 1 teen, and 2 kids) spent 1 week at Manta Ray and we were so sad to leave. The gated community is extremely peaceful and quiet. The location is ideal and a quick drive to restaurants, shops, etc. We especially loved Keiki beach which is a short 3 mins walk from the property. It's the perfect beach for swimming and snorkeling and makes the location of the property ideal. We didn't need to drive to a beach to swim everyday. We watched the sunset each evening from the beach which was one of our favorite activities. The house itself was even better than we expected. The rooms are all very spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and we loved having a bathroom in each bedroom. There is even a small "office" space to work from (which hopefully you won't need to use). The living room, kitchen and dining room were perfect for hanging out and relaxing. Our kids loved the huge sofa and it was big enough for all 5 of us to lounge and watch TV. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen which was fully stocked with cookware and utensils. We also loved the hot tub and the outdoor deck. Thank you George and Diane for opening your home. We created the most wonderful memories on the Big Island and we can't wait to come back. We have told all of our friends and family about your home. Mahalo.

Incredible stay

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. The house is spacious, beautiful, and in a fantastic location. We had a small family reunion with 6 adults and baby. The house is very well equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen, beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, some light workout gear, and even some snorkel gear and tennis rackets. There are lots of great personal touches, such as a thoughtful and informative guide to the house and the area the hosts created themselves. The hosts were were wonderful throughout and communication and check-in were all easy and streamlined. Would absolutely recommend.

Lovely home with so many amenities!

We were 3 couples celebrating anniversaries. This home was beautiful and had so many amenities available to us. Beach chairs. Beach umbrellas. Snorkeling equipment. Tennis rackets. Can't even list them all! The neighborhood was gated. Easy access to the beach. Beautifully landscaped with deck and hot tub. Owners were available via email to answer any questions. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Property and Stay

I had a great experience staying at this property in December and January. The home is in a very convenient, quiet, well maintained and secure location on the Big Island. It is close to Kona town, the airport and all services but private with its own lovely community beach front. I found that the home exceeded expectations, which were already high, in all ways. It is very clear that the owners care about their guests as the home provided everything one expected in a property at this level but then went above and beyond by having everything that you might have in your own home. The home was immaculate and very well organized. My communications with George were responded to completely and promptly. My only regret is that I could not stay longer as this was one of the best experiences that I have every had with any rental property.
