Life is better on Lake Lida!! - Open for 2024 bookings

Come enjoy 100+ feet of sandy beachfront on the beautiful Lake Lida! Lake Lida and the surrounding area has activities for everyone! Lake Lida is a 6,000+ acre lake with plenty of room for fishing, wakeboarding/waterskiing, or a leisurely pontoon ride.

Maplewood state park is just a short drive from the lake and features many private lakes set along biking and hiking trails. It is beautiful spring, summer, and fall!

We are located only 10 minutes from Pelican Rapids and 20 minutes from Detroit Lakes and 25 minutes from Fergus Falls. There are plenty of great local restaurants throughout the area, we have a list of ones we recommend in our Welcome Package.

After enjoying a long day on the lake or exploring the area, relax by the firepit and enjoy the amazing sunset view on this west facing property! The cabin features three bedrooms with two queen beds, one bunk bed, one full size bed and a full size pull out that can accommodate up to 10 guests! A dock is available for guest use, so bring your boat or pontoon!

Family Time

Our family of 5 adults and a 2 year old had a great getaway at this Lake Lida property. Our intention was to spend some time fishing but we ended up enjoying the property and lake so much we didn’t get to the fishing. We will plan to stay a few more days next time. Property has many of the essentials for preparing meals both inside and outside.

Summer Getaway

The lake home was the great. It was clean, had all the amenities we needed and the lake was perfect for water activities. The hosts provided detailed information and were very helpful. A great getaway from the summer weather in Arizona!

Enjoyable vacation!

We enjoyed our time on Lake Lida. The property is well maintained, and so many things are provided. The lake is very clean! Sandy bottom and not weedy! I will say the lake was super busy during our stay (a lot of traffic pretty close to shore) but it was the one of the first decent stretches of weather so there may have been a lot of folks taking advantage of beautiful days.

Beautiful views!

My husband and I came to Lake Lida for a family reunion. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and watching the boats/people go by. Beds were comfy and kitchen was well stocked. Our only complaint was there was no outside lighting at all. We had to use the flashlights on our phones to enter the home at night and go to/from the dock.

Creating New Lake Lida Memories

Comfortable & everyone commented on how much more space we had than last year’s getaway. Kids had loads of fun in the water (sorry about kite in the tree). Host was quick to get hot water heater repaired! Neighbors were very friendly.

Family Lake Trip

In from NY and this allowed for the perfect dose of lake time! Great location, perfect lake front and space for multiple families with kiddos! Love the option of having a pet so next time we’d definitely think about bringing the dog. Very accommodating & anything needed was available!

Perfect shallow lake for littles

So much water time fun was had by all. The lake is clear. The bottom is hard sand. The depth was perfect for floating about, playing spikeball, and beersby. The home has a large front yard for games, bubble chasing, and spreading out. Jeremy was very cooperative in letting us move our time from last summer to this summer as Covid hit us last year. The website and information book both said check-in was at 3, but Jeremy texted 4 to me. Not a problem, but might want to edit that. The garbage from the previous guests was a bit of a problem as pick up day wasn’t till Tuesday and we arrived on a Saturday to plum full trash cans. My family of 8 large adults did struggle getting out of the couch and loveseat… might be time for new ones as you sink low and tend to be eaten by them. This is a lovely place on a super lake. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Great stay on super nice lake

Enjoyed our stay, nice and clean, very well stocked. Cabin is roomy. Lake is so clear, good fishing for adults and kids. The living room couch does need to be replaced, sags alot and difficult to sit on. All in all great stay!

Perfect Place for a family get-together

My adult children, grandchildren, and I stayed for 5 nights. It is the perfect place to gather and spend time outdoors together. The 8 year old twins loved the clear and shallow water with a nice sandy bottom. All of us used the two paddleboards. It's a very nice single story house and there is only a slight slope to the lakeshore and dock, no hills to climb. There's a nice grassy yard to play corn hole and other yard games. The kitchen has everything you need, including a crockpot and 2 types of coffee makers. There are lots of towels, soaps, and a washer/dryer. Just need to bring food!

Great place to stay

This was our second stay at this location. The view of Lake Lida is stunning and the house is well kept. The house smelled very fresh and clean upon check in. We had 4 adults and 2 children and we never felt like we were too crowded. The location is great and between several cute towns with lots of shopping, beaches, etc.

Great location and enjoyable property

This property is right on Lake Lida. It has a nice nice view of the lake from the kitchen and living room. There is a big backyard to enjoy outdoor activities, nice beach, and nice dock. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a nice getaway on the water.

Stunning sunsets!

Great location! Well stocked. Very clean. As with most places when there’s no dishwasher, counting on previous guests to clean dishes doesn’t always leave you with clean dishes. Dock needs some work but owner is aware and says they’ll be repairing. Overall we had a great time and came home with fish!

Friends Weekend

We spent Thursday-Monday at this cabin and it was very nice. There is a big yard which is perfect for games and hanging out. We enjoyed a fire each night at the firepit. The lake is very sandy and we were able to spend a lot of time in the water (bring water shoes as there are zebra mussels). You can fit 6 cars within the parking available. Overall, it met our needs and we enjoyed our time.

They welcome Katie and Jeremy into the family and have new memories that have been shared on Lida. Together we have formed G.H. properties and purchased this cabin to share with you and your family.

This cabin was a family cabin that we were fortunate enough to be able to purchase this year, there are many memories as children for Chase and Ashlyn as well as some newer memories shared with Katie and Jeremy. We are glad we can share this cabin with your family and hope that you can make lifelong memories with you family on Lake Lida as we have.

Lake Lida and the surrounding area is a beautiful setting that can accommodate just about any summer or winter activity. The lake is the second largest in Otter Tail county so there is plenty of room for fishing, tubing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, or a leisurely pontoon ride. Maplewood state park is a short 5 minute trip down the road and boasts more beautiful lakes along with hiking and biking trails. After a long day at the lake, settle in around the fire pit for a beautiful view of the sunset on this west facing property.
