Getting Around:
There is a golf cart reserved for your use. The golf cart is allowed on Sandestin Property only (beach and bayside). The golf cart is not to be driven on any road with a speed limit above 25 mph and doing so could result in a ticket from the South Walton Sheriff. Please do not drive on the paths but instead on the right side of the road. There is a designated golf cart parking area next to the beach access. The golf cart needs to be charged during your stay. The charger is conveniently located on the wall next to the cart parking area. Simply plug in the charger in the back of the cart.
Very important:
Please do not drive the golf cart on low battery (2 bars).
If the battery is drained it will require towing to the dealership and towing charges will apply.
Please do not drink and drive the golf cart.
Please leave the golf cart key on the kitchen counter when you depart. If the key is lost there will be a replacement fee. If any damage occurs to the cart, please report it immediately.

Other Things to Note:
The Sandestin Baytowne Marina, offers nightly boat slip rentals. This full-service marina features 233 slips accommodating vessels up to 140 feet, with 90% of the slips available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that while the residential property at 1944 Baytowne Loop does not have its own boat slip, the nearby Sandestin Baytowne Marina provides convenient options for boaters.

Great Stay!

Our stay at Villa Lago was very nice! The house was central to the amenities and near Baytowne Wharf, many trails, and the water. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we need for our group including plenty of space for dining, sleeping and relaxing. I especially enjoyed sitting out on the back patio to latch the turtle swim among the lily pads. The owner was quick to respond with any questions which was very appreciated! Thank you for the accommodations!

New Year Getaway

We come to this area every New Years after Christmas. It is a great place to stay! Easy access and great neighborhood. 2 Golf carts make travel easy to Baytowne Wharf and grocery store. We would definitely stay again!

Great stay!

We had a great stay at Sugar Sands in Villa Lago. The house was conveniently located in the golf resort with easy access to the wharf and beach with the two golf carts. Was very comfortable for our 8 people. Enjoyed it very much!!!

Great house for groups!

We greatly enjoyed the house and the fact 5 adult males could each have our own rooms. Would be a great spot for multiple families to shared as well. Walking distance to Baytowne Wharf but no need to with the two golf carts!

Spacious Home in quiet community

This Villa Lago property was simply perfect for our family of 10 to celebrate Mom's 90th birthday. Mom LOVED riding the golf carts with us all over the area and even to Publix. Beach Bums Property Mgmt. (specifically Monica and Stacy) went above and beyond in their very busy day to answer our questions and to make sure we were taken care of immediately. Monica said several times, "Don't worry, I will take care of that, enjoy your vacation".

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is well maintained and very clean. The beds were all very much so I said after I left I should have checked out the brand. There was plenty of space for all 8 of us (even inside a good bit on those rainy days). I was worried about parking 3 cars however, the pool with extra parking is just a few houses down and even in July we never had a problem with parking the 3rd vehicle. The 6 person and 4 person golf carts made it so much fun to get around the area!Now...let me just say the Management Company (Beach Bums) was the best and friendliest I have ever worked with. They made the trip so easy to check in/check out and any questions I had. Thank you..your staff was extremely kind!

Very Disappointed

Beach condo ◦ Upstairs bedroom- fan missing remote so couldn’t be used ◦ Handrails- both very wobbly. One of ours almost fell with his 2yo toddler in hand. ◦ Blinds- wouldn’t stay closed- ◦ Cookware- warped ◦ Front door trouble locking ◦ Toilet clogged multiple times ◦ Shower knob broken in master bath- fell off when turned ◦ Golf cart-one had trouble reversing-told us to just park where we didn’t have to reverse, one lost battery quickly- mechanic said the batteries were hot and needed to be replaced. New golf cart had an apple tag that kept notifying our phones-property manager said she’d handle but never followed up with response ◦ Den furniture stained ◦ Golf cart fined? For being on grass but larger six person cart had no room to park. ◦ Trash can taken when we put it out on street but never returned, trash had to sit out. ◦ Parked further out at beach bc booked through third party and Sandestin won’t let you park in their designated, gated parking if you book though with a third party. ◦ We will be seeking refund.

Sugar Sands 1944 baytowne loop

The property was exactly as described. It was large enough to comfortably house our group of 9. Bonus points for never running out of hot water! We also really enjoyed the golf carts. Thanks to Monica for responding quickly to replace a broken plug on the red cart.

Perfect stay!

This is a beautiful home with a great location! It was clean, spacious, quiet, adequately furnished (including the two golf carts). We had a very minor issue and the property manager and the owner of the property did all they could to resolve the issue promptly. We would stay again in a heart beat!!

Poor communication & did not include all listed amenities

My biggest concern when we booked this property for 8 people was the availability of the 2 golf carts listed & pictured in the property description. When I booked the property in February, I tried messaging the property manager via the app regarding the availability of the 2 carts, since we had a party of 8. I never got a response to that or the multiple other questions I asked via the message board on the VRBO app. It wasn’t until I sent an email with under 2 weeks until check-in that I got a phone call. I was assured that there would be 2 carts to use to take us to dinners, shopping, the beach and the festival. When we arrived that evening, there was only 1 cart. I texted the manager immediately and she said she meant to text me that the other cart was being serviced and deemed unsafe to use. She said a replacement would be delivered the next morning. At 1pm the next day, I sent another text because we hadn’t had the replacement delivered or heard back from her regarding this issue. She called and told me they didn’t have any available to deliver, but she was working on it and that she’d let me know. I never heard back from her again. There are so many things to enjoy in this town and having golf carts to use instead of a vehicle is way more convenient. I’m angry at the lack of communication from this rental company. The home itself is beautiful. It was clean, updated and very comfortable for our party of 8. Having to drive a large SUV around and try to park, having sand all over the SUV from the beach and making 2 trips on the golf carts was a real inconvenience, and not what we planned for.
