It was a great house, great location, quiet, and my husband would say the perfect fireplace. Because of how dark it was, it was the most amazing northern lights we had seen in Grand Marais. The only thing that could have been better was to have cupboard room for food that we brought, and maybe have a outdoor grill.

Hi Cathy! Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad you got to see the Northern Lights! They are always amazing and you can see them right from the porch. Per another request, I am adding a Weber grill next season. I have always been concerned about safety so have held back on placing one. We will see how next season goes. There is a rack over the fire pit that many people have used in the past. I hope you will be able to visit again!!!! - Kim

Beautiful property and great location. Plenty of activities nearby but you may just want to stay on site to watch the wildlife in the yard and the freighters go by.Kim is a great host and better tour guide.Great advice about shopping for groceries and gas in the area and knows all the where to go and what to do in the UP.

Perfect Lake Superior Retreat

The perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Upper Peninsula. Beautiful views, well equipped kitchen and property, close to Pictured Rocks, and the town if Grand Marias is within walking distance. We had a really great stay - thanks for all the recommendations, Kim!

Quiet and comfortable

This vacation home was in a great location, close to town & the lake. It was a quiet & comfortable retreat. Kim (host) was accommodating in every way; she was sooo helpful to see we experienced the area to is fullest.

Snowmobile vacation

Great location for snowmobiling,Kim was very helpful and always prompt to respond on questions or issues. Heat could certainly be better in living room and toilet down stairs need fixed.Woukd diffently book again!

Hi Brian! Thanks for your comments and nice to hear that you would come back. Many of my guests do! When I followed up after you left, you mentioned that the toilet was running. I wish you would have let me know when you were there as I would have sent someone to replace the rubber stopper. Anyhoo, as I also explained you were my last winter guest (so far) and I am having the bathroom completely renovated (new shower, commode, sink, walls, floor, etc). I'm excited about my upcoming project. Stay in touch. You now have a new home away from home.

Great Grand Marais property

Had a fantastic stay! The house was great. The view was fabulous. Kim was extremely helpful and prompt answering our questions. Highly recommend for a 3 generation stay. Loved it!

The property was clean and cozy. It was supplied well so we didn’t have to worry about restocking. A great place to relax and use as a base to explore the UP. Kim’s suggestions about the area proved to be very helpful.

Snowmobile vacation

First time staying in Grand Marais, perfect cabin for our trip and great little town with food and entertainment. Cabin has amazing views of lake superior. Ride from the cabin to the trail system and into town. Kim reached out, communicated and accommodated our needs perfectly. Break wall in town for amazing breakfast and lake superior brewing for nice dinner, beverages and entertainment!

Great retreat

Kim is an awesome host -- this home has everything you need and she is always available to answer questions and provide recommendations. The home is two-minutes from Grand Marais shops/restaurants and sits atop a bluff in a secluded spot. We had a great time.

Great View and Peaceful

We had a great stay. Charming cabin up in the woods with a great view. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Wifi would have been helpful for checking in on work as most places in town weren’t reliable for wifi or open the right hours.

Great place for the group for snowmobiling

Very clean, well kept collage with great view of the bay. Lots of deer in the yard. Easy to go down the hill to town. Lots of room for parking trailers for snowmobiling.
