Beautiful location but overpriced based on condition and false description
Pros:
1-Great location/views
2-Living area and kitchen area are huge
3-Bottle of wine left for us was a nice treat
Cons:
1-False description of bedrooms
2-Bunk beds are very wobbly
3-owner was not cooperative prior to stay
Details:
If you want a beach stay and awesome views then this house certainly meets those wishes. It is a a cute home that has been remodeled over the years. Very convenient to restaurants, shopping and other amenities.
This home did not meet up to the costs. We rented this for our large family (all adult aged) and expected a 4 bedroom home with (according to their ad) enough room for 10 adults and 9 beds…this didn’t make sense and probably should have been a warning. The ad shows:
Bedroom 1: Queen Bed
Bedroom 2: Queen and sleeper sofa
Bedroom 3: 2 King 2 Queen beds
Bedroom 4: 2 Queen beds
The first problem is that one of the bedrooms is located in what probably used to be a closet inside of another bedroom. Which means you have to walk through a bedroom to get to a bedroom. The closet bedroom contains a queen size bunk bed which barely fits! Don’t try to put two people on the top bunk because there is a wall mounted shelf that goes over the bed and would hurt if you rolled over! The only furniture in this room is the bed because there is no more room for anything.
Another bedroom was created near the front door. When you look at pictures you will see that this was a large entry way with access to a coat closet and to the basement garage. A wall was added and forced a Queen bunk bed to fit but it’s too large and there is no other furniture or a usable closet.
What was really in the rooms were:
Bedroom 1: Queen Bed
Bedroom 2: Queen Bed
Bedroom 3: Queen bunk bed
Bedroom 4: Queen bunk bed
The description is wrong, the rooms listed incorrectly & they used incorrect pictures and don’t show current setup.
The owner just wants maximum rental fees and doesn’t care about the experience.
There is a no cancellation policy and must Pay up front. I understood this but life doesn’t. We lost a family member and asked owner for consideration to cancel, they politely said no. I asked if they would relist the property and then we would pay the difference so the owner would be out nothing and we could recoup some or all of our monies. They wouldn’t and stopped responding. I only sent a total of 4 messages.
I would not stay here again because of the false representation and the owner
