Enjoy your "Sea"bbatical on Sapphire beach in this spacious 1 bedroom, 2 bath condo at Sapphire Beach West (Crystal Cove). With 1 king bed, 1 murphy bed, 1 day bed (with twin trundle), and 1 sleeper sofa, there is room for the whole family! Utilize the fully stocked kitchen and washer/ dryer, if needed. Otherwise, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the four reataurants on property!
So many options are just a coconut's throw away. Enjoy the beach, the pool, tennis courts, coffee/ ice cream store, beach bar, and more! Downtown Red Hook, with amazing restaurants, nightlife, and ferry to St. John, is less than a mile away!
Desire to explore further? Charter a boat at the marina next door and explore the Caribbean Sea and neighboring islands! Most importantly, don't forget to relax, unwind, and enjoy your "Sea"bbatical on Sapphire beach!

I cannot say enough about how amazing the snorkeling is here. The best by far! So close and easy. The use of beach chairs under the trees is so nice. The condo is extremely quiet with blackout shades. Kitchen was great for fish we caught on our fishing trip. Extremely happy with the rental.

Wonderful

Another wonderful stay at Seabattical on Sapphire beach. The condo is as described and check in was a breeze with great communication. We love the bed options for our kids and the extra beach supplies are handy if you travel to another beach for the day. We enjoyed relaxing at the beach and snorkeling. Having food nearby is a great addition and we appreciate that there is staff dedicated to cleaning up sargassum if it happens to show up. It’s a great place to stay on St. Thomas!

We loved the location of this condo and all of the amenities it offered us! We especially love the provided beach gear and plenty of comfortable sleeping options. The view was beautiful! It was an easy beach vacation with our two children. To top it off Ed and Savannah ( property owner and manager) were absolutely fantastic to work with, providing timely information! Great condo and beautiful island!

Absolutely perfect location

Wow! Great view of the private beach which is next to the accessible beach making it perfect for quiet times and conveniences of bar, food, fun, locals, dancing, and all the fun of Sapphire Bay. You can sit in the shade of a tree on the beach or out in the sun on the private beach. Walk 100 feet down the sand and enjoy the livelihood of the beach bar, corn hole, music, and great food. The coffee shop that opens at 7am is wonderful and in the same convenient spot. The ferry is close by and the best restaurant on the island, Pangea, is next door. The second floor view is incredible and well worth a flight of stairs. The condo is well equipped with beach gear, games and books. All appliances, air conditioning and furniture was working well and made for a great place to hang out. Did I mention the view? Amazing. A clean place for a get away.

Lovely relaxing getaway

SEAbattical is perfect for a relaxing vacation. Every morning we could walk out the front door and go snorkeling. The beach was wonderful. Crystal clear waters, fish, and nicely sandy. It was not too busy. The condo was comfortable and perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped. The AC and dehumidifier kept things comfy. Couch and beds super comfy. Well maintained and clean. We hope to come back soon!

Awesome place right by the beach

We stayed here for a week and it was great. Check in and check out process was smooth, it’s a great location steps from the beach. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep. Savannah was responsive and helpful. Would stay here again.

Everything about SEAbbatical, Crystal Cove, and Sapphire Beach as a whole was even better than we could have ever hoped for! We got a little teary eyed having to leave this wonderful place and can’t wait to return!

A pleasant return stay

We have enjoyed this unit before. All was as expected, plus some beautiful new upgrades to the facade, windows, and stairs. We hope to return again someday.

Another great stay

We have stayed here twice now and had a great time. The location is perfect. The recent upgrades to the exterior and windows adds a nice touch. Also the windows appear to be more sound proof (roosters) than before and made for a quieter stay. Ed is extremely quick to reply to any questions leading up to the trip and Savannah who is on island is quick to help with any issues that arise during your stay.

Everything you need for a fantastic stay!

My family loved this property! The location is incredible, just steps to the beach and great snorkeling. The condo was super clean, well-stocked, and communication with Ed and his local property manager (Savannah) were great. My family already can’t wait to stay here again!

Great stay

Great View of Sabbatical Beach, nice beach closet with things you may need. Hideaway couch is typical, a bit hard to sleep on, but the rest of the beds were fine and stay was great!

Great stay!

Location was perfect, only a few steps to a beautiful beach, very short drive to Red Hook for ferry, dining, and a market for groceries. Condo had plenty of room for a family of 5 to sleep and had everything we needed. Plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows, AC worked great. Both Savannah and Ed were very responsive. Would stay again!

Click Book

Clicking book was the best decision! Sapphire Beach is where you want to be. It is clean, quiet, and not flooded with cruise passengers. Great beach bar/coffee shop/restaurant all just within steps from the condo. Beach chairs are readily available and the condo owner/property manager were very responsive and extremely helpful. The marina is walking distance, a taxi stand is close, and Red Hook is nearby. There is also a reliable Jeep rental place, at your convenience. All in all, highly recommended!

Very rough beginning

When we arrived at the condo, the code the manager sent did not work. We tried calling both the manager and the owner and did not receive a response for several hours. This was very frustrating after a long day of travel. When we did get into the condo later that night, there was no hot water. Again I contacted the owner and they said they would let the property know. It wasn’t until after 3pm the next afternoon that we finally had hot water. Next problem was the kitchen sink and the bathtub shower would not drain. Again - had to contact the owner and they did the repair the next day. I have been to St Thomas many times and was very disappointed not only with the issues we had in the beginning, but also with the response of the owner. I would stay somewhere else for the amount they charge.

Beautiful Condo at Sapphire

The condo was clean and exactly as pictured. Ed was kind and very responsive to us. When we arrived there was even a complimentary bottle of champagne in the fridge. I grew up in St. Thomas and when my husband and I go back we always stay at Sapphire or Crystal Cove. You cannot beat the location. You walk right out to a beautiful beach with snorkeling, a bar, pizza place, coffee shop and upscale restaurant. It truly has everything you need. We had a great time. Thank you Ed!

The McKernan family currently live in Colorado and while we love the Rocky Mountains, warm weather and the Caribbean Sea constantly call us back! Over the years, we have been traveling to various warm weather places in search of the right place, with the right vibe. We found it here in the Virgin Islands!
Like many people, Ed has experienced a couple of "down-sizings" or "restructures" in the corporate world. Each time he was impacted, he called them sabbaticals (even though he was technically, just unemployed, ha!). Either way, he embraced his short term freedom. Therefore, It only made sense to call our dream condo, "Sea"bbatical! We hope you enjoy your stay!

We wanted a place that checked all the boxes: A view, walking distance to the beach, amenities such as a pool, and a vacation feel that included a place for beach front dining and cocktails. Crystal Cove at Sapphire Beach has it all!
The other advantage is the proximity to Red Hook. The town is only 1 mile away and has numerous shops, restaurants, and nightlife! The ferry to St. John and the neighboring islands also leaves from here, making day trips stress free!
