Located on a blue ribbon trout creek and surrounded by forests and trails, it's perfect for a romantic getaway, anniversary destination, a relaxing weekend away with friends. Enjoy the custom woodwork throughout the cabin, sit by the fireplace, and enjoy the view of the creek, the woods, and wildlife any time of the year. Great for fishing, bird watching, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, snowmobiling, or ATV/ORV riding. No hunting.

Absolutely loved this cabin!! Meticulously maintained, offered everything you need for a comfortable stay, quiet, cozy. Used it as a "base" for few days of travel and exploring Northern Michigan. Fernando has been so accommodating and helpful. I am beyond happy I found this place, and certainly will be my go-to upon my returns for more adventures in Northern Michigan.

We used this as a secondary cabin for sleeping purposes. The location is a bit tricky to get too but the cabin with the sound of the creek with morning coffee was very nice. The cabin is very comfortable and nice inside and out. We would consider staying again in the fall to enjoy the cabin more along with the Fall color changes.Fernando, our host, was easy to work with.

We have stayed here for the last three years. We love this little cabin. It is so quiet and peaceful. The creek is our favorite part. We sit the chairs in the creek and soak out feet and relax. It was a little chillier this year than most. But, we still sat in the creek just with a sweater on.

Get away- AuSable river country

A beautiful cozy cabin styled home on Gilcrest creek. We used this as a base camp for a few days of spring fishing below Mio on the AuSable. This place is off the beaten path and gorgeous. It’s very well supplied and super clean.

Golf Trip

This was the second time our group has stayed here, and plan to be back! Within an hour of so many courses that it worked out great. Kitchen set up is great, beds are comfortable, and plenty of firewood!

Wonderful spot in the woods

The cabin is in such a peaceful location! Ideal for a quick getaway where you can unplug and unwind! The cabin is spotless, well stocked and the owner is wonderful to deal with. Check in was a breeze. The beds were comfortable & the internet worked well. If we ever return to this area, we will definitely book again!!

Total Tranquility

This is a very cozy cabin in a beautiful, peaceful, and secluded area. It was nicely furnished with plenty of useful amenities. We absolutely loved the tranquility of the creek. The host was very responsive and helpful with questions about the area. Perfect for a relaxing getaway enjoying nature and exploring northern Michigan.

Great weekend stay, the cabin is beautiful and has everything you need to stay and enjoy. The creek behind the house is great too. Beautiful area as well. Fernando, the owner is great to deal with and friendly. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend the cabin to friends and family

Fantastic Getaway

A serene getaway with coffee by the creek, antique shopping, hiking, movies and more in this immaculate cabin with every amenity. The photos aren’t close to the tranquility and coziness of our stay and the hosts were very accommodating. Cannot wait to book again.

Quiet and Peaceful Getaway

We recently stayed at the cabin which was exactly as described. It was clean, quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed watching the creek and birds visiting in the morning while drinking coffee and having breakfast on the deck. The cabin was very comfortable and we appreciated the items provided by the host. Would definitely stay again if we are in this area in the future.

Adorable rental!

We loved it at the Comins cabin, it’s the nicest rental we’ve stayed at. The house was immaculate, spacious and cozy! It had everything we needed for a great summer weekend up north. Gracious hosts, responsive and helpful. Location is perfect for kayaking/camping/tubing on the AuSable. We’re definitely booking this house again next year!

Absolutely amazing!

If you're looking for a place that's away from the hustle & bustle of the city, this is your place. The location is absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed coffee by the creek in the mornings. The hot, humid afternoons were spent cooling down with our feet in the creek. Evenings on the back patio were so relaxing. The inside of the cabin was beautiful. The decor was amazing! Fabiana & Fernando were very kind & quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a mother/daughter getaway weekend and chose Fernando's property as the place we would stay. It was absolutely stunning! The directions could not have been more clear on all accounts. Very clean and peaceful. Highly recommend. :)

Peaceful getaway!

Looking for a peaceful getaway? Don’t miss this gem. Really nice cabin that was well supplied with all we needed . Great place to relax and enjoy time with family or friends. Internet access, but not to great for phone service. But most of us need time away from those anyway. Owner did well at directions and get back with us with any questions we had. Spent a week there with friends. Hope to go back again!
