Nuestra cabaña tiene una hermosa vista del lago desde el comedor y la cubierta en la parte delantera. También tenemos una terraza en la habitación de arriba donde puedes ver ciervos y vida salvaje en los campos detrás. La cocina está totalmente amueblada con microondas encima de la cocina eléctrica y horno, lavavajillas, tostadora, cafetera, batidora y licuadora. Ollas y sartenes y platos también están amuebladas. Tenemos 3 habitaciones, con 2 reinas y una doble, con un colchón de espuma debajo de una cama para persona extra. Usted suministra sábanas y toallas. Hay un sofá, cómodas sillas y un televisor de pantalla plana, reproductor de DVD y Netflix. También tenemos WiFi para que te conectes a internet. Hay una parrilla de carbón en la cubierta delantera, un columpio y una mesa de picnic en el área del patio, con un pozo abierto para fogatas. Suministramos dos botes de remos, un muelle y una balsa. Loved the cabin, it was really cozy and relaxing. Plenty of firewood to burn in the fireplace was provided making this winter stay even more cozy. I would definitely book this place again and probably will again the same time next year and possibly during the summer months.

The cabin had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. We did not spend a lot of time at the cabin but we did return to it in the evenings and it was very comfortable after a day spent hiking.

We loved our stay here. Very secluded and quiet. It was so beautiful! Wished we could have stayed longer. We loved the wood burner stove inside, it heated the whole place.

Beautiful cozy cabin with a private lake and nice paths in the forest. The owner is very attentive to your needs. I would definitely recommend especially if you need some place to relax and rejuvenate.

The location was everything we needed.. private, peaceful, and picturesque! The amenities were just as described and made for a relaxing stay.The cons: The grill was not clean when we arrived (it had wet old coals inside) and was in poor condition overall. I spent about an hour cleaning it out, so this amenity could definitely use some improvement. The bed mattress covers also need replacing, as they had loose debris and visible stains.Other than that, everything else was wonderful. Thank you for providing a great weekend getaway!

Loved, all the well maintained trails, right on the property! The cabin was well equipped with everything you need. Great outdoor space. We had a fire in the fire pit. Row boats were provided, and we caught a couple of nice sized bass, catch and release, of course. Very enjoyable.

Our 2nd year staying in this cabin & family members staying in the A-frame (4th year). We enjoyed the fishing, relaxing at the fire pit. Just simple quiet time well spent .

We love this place it's quiet and out of the way. We used to bring our kids up there since they were babies and now my baby is 40 years old LOL. And as long as they will have us we will keep coming up there

Peaceful getaway.

this is just what the doctor ordered. beautiful scenery all around, great view of the lake and nice trails to walk on. the cabin was clean and perfect for 5 of us. the kitchen was and dining area were also great. it’s conveniently located near some stores as well. i highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a quick getaway.

Perfect Tranquility

Perfect. If you are looking to bunker down and enjoy some peace and quiet or have an awesome homebase for nearby adventures and shopping this place is perfect for all ages and dogs too(they also loved it). We will be back soon.

Quiet & Cozy

We loved the house, it was so cozy and cute. The best part was that it was so tucked away it felt like you were surrounded by nothing. All you could hear outside was the birds chirping and the trees rustling in the wind, very tranquil as my partner said. We LOVED the wood burning fireplace inside it made it that much more cozy and relaxing. Great winter getaway when you are just looking for a break from everything.

Birthday Get Away

My husband and I came for his birthday sat in front of the nice warm fire and watched net flix. Beautiful lake scene very clean except for the dead mouse I found in a trap it’s very country backed up to a forest and is to be expected only saw one just wishing it had been thrown away prior to us coming in other then that place is spotless we come every year will be back again

Great cabin

My extended family stayed here for a long weekend visit with family! It was so beautiful out even though it rained. My son who is 3 loved the deck and the wood burning stove. The only problem was all the wood was wet so it took awhile to light the fire. Board games and cook equipment was all there!

The Detweiler's moved on the family farm in 1965. The Chalet was built in 1976 on the 23 acres of woods on the farm. Ruel and Sara Detweiler are now retired. Our family has recently started to manage the property with our main goal being to keep everything like Ruel and Sara managed it. Our family has been coming to the Detweiler's cabins since 1982; hunting, fishing and enjoying nature. We have so many fond memories of our times spent here and we know that many other families have similar cherished memories here. That's what makes this place so special to so many.

This is a beautiful place to enjoy all four seasons. In the spring, maple syrup is made from trees on the property, wild flowers, and mushrooms abound in the area. Spring is a good time to view deer, turkey, and migrating birds. Summer is family time for hiking, fishing, swimming, or basking in the Michigan sun. There is time for day trips to Mackinaw Island, or Light Houses along the shore. In the fall, the autumn colors are some of the best in the state. Winter snow and frozen lakes bring joy to skiers, snowmobilers, and ice fisherman. This is also time to enjoy a good book by the crackling fireplace.

The Chalet cottage is unique with its fantastic views of the water from the living room and breakfast area. The dishwasher and wood burning fireplace are new to the Chalet this year. The best thing that many enjoy, is the privacy and away- from- it- all feeling that you have when you stay here.
