Excellent time at Polish Flats

Beautiful weather, beautiful colors. Warm home, friendly neighbors. We always love Grand Marais. This is my 3rd time at Polish Flats and I plan to come again and again

Great spacious spot on the bay

We love staying on the bay side and have rented many of the available places. This cabin has a really spacious waterfront lot, which we loved. The inside has lots of room too. This is an old lake cottage, with some quirks in the layout. It may be dated, but it had everything we needed. Kitchen is well equipped and has some newer appliances as well as a grill; bathrooms are clean with good water pressure and hot water; beds are comfortable and master bedroom has an awesome deck; wifi and cable tv available; lots of games and puzzles for indoor days; washer and dryer nice to have after hiking and beach days. It worked very well for our family of four. If you want a gorgeous view of the bay, a shallow shoreline where you can easily launch your kayak or SUP, a big private lake front yard with a firepit for campfires, and be just a short walk or ride to the pier or town, this is an excellent spot. Note though that this may not be the place for you if you want modern luxuries and king-size mattresses. We appreciate that the host was responsive when we had questions, and was very kind and accommodating. We go to Grand Marais every summer and will book here again.

The cabin was well stocked and clean. We enjoyed our week there and as a bonus was able to watch the fireworks from the yard.

Beautiful location

The house has the perfect location on the bayside with a beautiful view and calm water. It’s a short walk to the lake side. The sunsets are like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The house was comfortable and had plenty of room for our family of 4. Mary is very sweet and easy to communicate with.

Great family vacation rental.

The home is antique and beautiful. There is an amazing yard and fire pit for the evening hours. The house came fully equipped with a ton of activities. The only thing I have to complain about is the beds. They definitely should be updated to a comfortable sleep.

Amazing!

We absolutely loved this cabin for our family! The pictures don't really do it justice, it's a lot bigger than you'd think. Our kids loved the basement, we brought some coloring stuff and toys and they had all kinds of space to run and play and table to color on. They also loved the board games available and the beach front! Mary was always promptly available and beyond accommodating! I've never stayed somewhere with the rental owner so quick to help! Mary is also one of the sweetest rental owners I've ever worked with. She can count on our family coming back because of how genuine of a person she is. This place was everything we needed it for as a place to relax in after our long days beachside.

Perfect vacation

You can’t beat this location! The house is really big, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, lots of linens, walking distance to all of Grand Marais. The owner was great to work with, very responsive. We had a great time at Polish Flats will definitely return.

Amazing views with an amazing house!

It was BETTER than we expected! Everything was clean and well stocked. We even had bubbles which both amazed and amused my Grandaughter for many hours. Everything was well stocked and accessible. We loved our stay...and really appreciated our amazing host

Perfect!!!

The property was perfect. Great location right on the West Bay. Just minutes from the public beach. Warm and comfortable home with everything you need. Wonderful and serene view from the bedroom and living room. The owner, Mary Anne, was a gem. A pleasure to chat with. Very helpful, kind, and generous. I'll be back!!

Early exit

A huge disappointment! Not clean, no comfortable chairs to relax in, very poor lighting, smells bad, EVERYTHING is old and outdated-not fit to be a vacation rental. Oven does not work,multi-levels not fit for elderly or youngsters. Am so surprised VRBO would even list this property! Hair balls flying all over on floor and infested with flies and spiders! We left three days early! No vacation!

Wonderful House on the Bay

Great place for the family to unwind with lots of games and a firepit by the water. Very large and comfortable for our family of 4.
