This completely remodeled home has it all!!! Located across the street from the beautiful Cental Gardens here in Clear Lake. Everything you need is within walking distance... Main Street shops, city park, splash pad and of course the beach! Enjoy all of what Clear Lake has to offer.

Enjoy your meals on the wrap around deck/patio which features seating and a grill. Fenced in back yard makes for a worry free area for children to play. Rainy day? No problem, cook your meal in the beautifully remodel kitchen with high end appliances.

Time for bed? There are 4 bedrooms in this home. The main floor will feature a queen sized bed in each room. The upstairs is one large room that will have 2 queen beds and twin bed for sleeping and the fourth bedroom will be located in the basement with a queen sized bed as well.

We enjoyed the property so much! It was a well maintained, nicely decorated and very clean. We especially loved the wrap around deck. It was conveniently located as advertised. However, we did not appreciate the requirement to wash, dry AND FOLD the linens...and with an 11 am check-out. We didn't know in advance and there were FIVE beds to wash, dry and FOLD and return to each bed before leaving. This should be included with the cleaning fee paid in addition to the rental fee.

Perfect weekend

We stayed over a weekend and it was perfect. Easy walking distance from downtown, and yet a quiet neighborhood when we returned. Plenty of things to do for all ages!

Great place to stay

We had a fantastic stay. Doing the laundry on the last day was a bit of a hassle with check out being at 11. Other than that, it’s a really nice place to stay.

Great indoors, large bedrooms, we put up an outdoor tv on the large deck to watch " The Game" while the kids played in the back yard. PERFECT Walking distance to several favorite spots. Thanks to the host!!

Wonderful Hosts and Upscale Modern Home

The 4 bedrooms and 2 baths are wonderful for a larger group and the private backyard and close proximity to all of Clear Lake's downtown amenities is very handy. Being next to the Central Gardens provides a wonderful area to walk and enjoy the beautiful flowers and Gardens activities.

Great location

Charming house in a quiet neighborhood right across the street from central gardens of north Iowa. We enjoyed walking through the gardens and playing bocce ball every day. House was very comfortable, 2 full baths, and 4 separate bedrooms worked well for us. Host was great about communicating and answering any questions. We enjoyed hanging out in the front and back deck spaces and a bonus that it is close enough to walk downtown, city park and the sea wall.

The Lake house

The property I am rating turned out to be unavailable on the day we were leaving. Our hostess graciously upgraded us to an amazing lake house at no extra charge. Our family ( my husband and I. My stepson and his wife and 6 children) loved the house. It was located at 1713 N Shore Dr. The ONLY thing that we weren’t absolutely thrilled with was the requirement to wash and fold all sheets before leaving. We hive a heart felt huge shout out to Lindsay for deiving by to open the garage door when we licked ourselves out of the house. We have done vrbo before- but she was the hostess with the mostest.

Nice location

This house is in a nice location and neighborhood, walking distance to downtown and right across the street from Central Gardens. Check-in was easy. The upstairs bedroom was humid and smelled musty. The couch in the main living area was uncomfortable. Some of the bedding and bath towels were sketchy and need replaced. The dishwasher wasn't working, but we weren't told that until the 2nd day. We were then asked if it would be ok if a repairman was sent during our stay. We said that would be fine and to please let us know approximately when he'd be there. Within minutes, we were told he was at the house. We were not there at the time and would have appreciated advanced notice as we wouldn't have left personal things sitting out when we left the house had we known someone would be coming in when we were out. After hearing nothing more about the dishwasher, I contacted the owner the following day to find out if it was working and was told it was not and wouldn't be repaired until after our stay. Several days later, a repairman showed up unannounced and again entered the house without our knowledge. My teenage daughters arrived back at the house to find the repairman there. When I contacted the owner, they apologized but indicated it was difficult to get a repairman there. Handwashing dishes was not a big deal. Ultimately, the lack of communication and consideration for our privacy and safety (the repairman apparently had the keycode to the house) was disappointing.

Perfect Weekend

The property is great, they have redone every square inch and its very spacious! The only struggle I had (which was on me) was locking the door. Otherwise the location was great, within walking distance to town and it's a nice private quiet street. Very well decorated and outfitted! thank you for a wonderful visit to the place where my parents met:) Highly recommend and will stay again.

Moms 90th

Best location for walking to and from our Moms house, bike/golf cart rentals, coffee shop, soda fountain, groceries, shopping and the Beautiful Central Gardens where we enjoyed Fresh on Fridays and a night of amazing music under the big blue sky.

Summer Breeze House

This house has been updated to accommodate a large group comfortably. All updates are modern. The kitchen is a small galley type but the appliances are great. Work had not been completed for our stay, but it wasn't a problem and there was sufficient evidence that what little work was left to complete would be finished soon.
