Lake Escape A Cozy Cottage - Private Hot Tub Open All Year - Short Walk to Beach

Lake Escape is a cozy cottage located in Union Pier, Michigan. It's just a short 1 1/2 blocks from Berrien Street Beach and beautiful Lake Michigan -- close enough so that you'll never miss a sunset! Take advantage of the nearby Whistle Stop Cafe and Red Arrow Roadhouse. And it's just a short drive to many other local favorites!

You'll enjoy all the comforts of home with three bedrooms (2 queen and twin bunk) and one bathroom (walk-in shower), washer and dryer, fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, Internet and cable (including MLB extra innings).

The cottage is a great stay for families with a large backyard area (shared with our co-op neighbors), a fire pit, gas grill and outdoor dining space. Take a soak in the private outdoor hot tub (open year-round!) and enjoy the stars to cap off a day at the beach or your time in Harbor Country. Make memories that will last a lifetime at Lake Escape...the beach is calling!

This is our second year in a row staying here for girls weekend! Tammy and Steve are great hosts! If your looking for a place to stay for a close walk to the beach or Wineries this is the cutest place and great location with a hot tub to wind down your day in!

This was year 5 for our girl's weekend in this beautiful home that offers you anything you could need and still make you feel at home. All the extra touches that Tammy and Steve offer excels above other homes that we've rented and we couldn't be happier to continue coming to this wonderful area because we are located perfectly to get to anything. This includes a very short walk to a beautiful beach, with all your Beach needs ready there waiting for you. We hated to leave, but already know that we will be back for year 6!!

Overall, this house was well stocked and very clean. The two rooms without vents got warm as it got hot the week we stayed. The owners communicated well and answered questions quickly.

Nice house with cute decor gave it a home-y feel. Kitchen was a good size and stocked with all the essentials. Lots of books and games for entertainment. Owners were very nice and responsive. Great location, Berrien Beach only a 5 min minute walk down the street!

A wonderful getaway!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property! It’s beautiful, clean, and has everything you need! The owner was so kind and set up the pack and play for my daughter. The hot tub was great perk as well! It’s centrally located, with nice outdoor space too! We can’t wait to come back next year.

Wonderful stay!

Everything at this rental way amazing. Clean upon arrival, perfect location, and a cozy vibe made this location a perfect choice. The host had the pack and play set up for our youngest ahead of time, which was super helpful. If we are ever back in this location we will return to this spot!

This place was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. Truly appreciated the kid friendly games, all the beach toys/equipment, books to read, amenities, everything! So many small details thought of and accounted for. Restaurant right in the backyard, which was great when we had a 50 minute wait :) My husband and I can be nitpicky and we truly had next to nothing to be improved upon with our stay here - everything was so cozy and perfect. Kids are aged 4-8 and the walk to the beach was incredibly simply and easy. They LOVED the waterproof Uno! The ONLY issue with our trip was that we didn't book it for longer :) Thank you so very much!

Great house for a vacation!

This was the perfect property for our family to stay at. We were able to easily walk to the beach with the supplied wagon carrying chairs and toys. This was also one of the cleanest properties we’ve stayed at, which is a huge plus.

In May 2000, we were married at a local inn (you'll pass it on the way to the beach) and Union Pier has held a special place in our hearts ever since. Nineteen years and three sons later, we were fortunate to purchase this cottage and are happy to share with our guests. We hope you enjoy the cottage and the area as much as we do!
