Spectacular view located on the first floor. The Dawn condos is a gated, secured complex with 2 pools (one is heated), 1 hot tub, fitness center, and outdoor picnic areas/grills. Close to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, and the Convention Center are within 2 miles. Cruise terminal and the Strand are 5 miles away. Very spacious with 825 square feet, you will have everything you need. Kitchen is equipped with full size appliances, toaster, coffee maker and Keurig, blender, cookware, toaster, and dishes. Full size washer and dryer. Free Wi-Fi, cable on both TVs included. Parking pass is purchased at The Dawn office for $40 for a 1–3-night stay or $50 for 4 or more nights per vehicle. The Dawn Condominiums was awarded Best Condominium Rental on the Island for 2023.

We rent at The Dawn every year and Mermaid Landing was one of the nicest rentals we’ve had at The Dawn. The unit (and patio) was very clean and had a ‘homey’ feel to it. Communication with the Owner was great and she made our stay comfortable. The location was great being beachfront, close to parking and just a short walk to the main pool. We would definitely stay at Mermaid Landing again and highly recommend.

The location is great, just walk across the street to the beach.However, this condo was not clean. There were dead bugs all over the floor, the shower had sand and hair in it and it smelled very musty.They had recently bought a de-humidifier and left the empty box and trash on the counter.Very disappointing!

It was the best stay I had at a condo in Galveston Place clean ready. Great instructions. Just as advertized The host was professional courteous and responded immediately. The apartment had all the useful items down to the very detail. I will definitely book again

We had such a great time in Galveston recently at Mermaid Landing. The condo was very clean and well kept. It was such a welcoming and relaxing place. Everything we needed was there for us and we love the Dawn each time we come.

Such a beautiful place. Across from the beach, had everything we needed for the family. The bunk beds were definitely a plus. Will absolutely stay here again. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay.

My family and I have been traveling to Galveston for summer vacations for the past 30 years or so. We always have a wonderful time and make great memories. We have stayed at The Dawn before it never fails to be a great location. The condos are always well maintained. The property hosts are always easy to reach and very accommodating to whatever the needs there are that may arise .

The condo itself is cute and looks just like the pictures. The bed was comfortable. The couch is pretty worn and not that comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the patio in the mornings and evenings watching the waves roll in.

Bucket List trip to Galveston

We traveled from South Carolina. Were so pleased with this condo near the beach! Walmart across the street, and a gas station with gas for 2.45 per gallon. The condo was perfect, and so clean. Everything was as described, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Spring Break

We took a 7 year old and a 1 year old to the beach/ocean for the first time and the Mermaid Landing was perfect right at the street east access to the beach. Host had chairs and towels. The rooms were comfortable and relaxing. Definitely will stay again!

We loved this property. The condominium was clean the and very comfortable. My only complaint is the dishwasher needs to be replaced. It is an older model and did not clean the dishes very well at all. I don't mind doing dishes, but if you advertise a dishwasher it should be in decent conditionOther than that I would recommend Mermaids Landing to any couple looking to visit Galveston. This mermaid themed property is well maintained and has ample amenities. We spent 2 nights at the property and enjoyed the entire stay.

Not beachfront, hard to find unit

The property was clean but had an overpowering perfumed smell. The bed was tolerable but not a good quality mattress. The description should highlight the fact there is a highway between the condo and the beach. It was well stocked with coffee and sweeteners as well as spices. Overall, the quality for the price was fair.
