Providing private beach exclusive to Dolphin View guests, this beautifully decorated duplex. 5 minutes from The Hangout and all surrounding beach shops and eateries in the heart of Gulf Shores!

4 BEDROOM, 3 bath duplex,~~2 master bedrooms each with king beds, 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds, 4th bedroom has 1 bunk, one full and one twin, sleeps 12 total. One side of a beach duplex WITH POOL directly on the beautiful beach of Gulf Shores. Perfect family vacation get-a-way.

Renting a house ON the beach is better than having to deal with issues of a highrise condo. Free parking and step out of your door onto the beach! We have fantastic Views of the Gulf of Mexico from both decks of house with breath taking sunrise and sunsets!

One Master bedroom is upstairs with a private balcony and stunning view of the beach and pool. The other is downstairs for elderly visitors. Two other guest rooms are upstairs.

Very quiet beach, yet very close to the center of town.

Family friendly, fully stocked with almost everything you need for children. The kitchen is fully stocked with the basic things you should need to prepare your meals.

The fully stocked kitchen is open to the living room and is very clean and bright. Appliances include refrigerator with ice maker, full size stove, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dishwasher and full sized washer and dryer. A charcoal grill is provided on the back patio. Rafts, beach chairs and surfing boards are also provided for your use.

Additional amenities include dish satellite, four TV’s & DVD players. There are a number of movies for your viewing pleasure, along with board games, domino's and cards. A charcoal grill is also provided on the back porch.

Free parking is provided for one to two cars directly under the home and additional uncovered parking is available on the driveway.

The home is close to shopping, outlet mall, awesome restaurants, Waterville and mini golf. The property is conveniently located just two miles west of Hwy 59 off of West Beach Blvd.

Check in process was easy and location was great. Having a heated pool was a nice bonus. However, the property needs a deep clean and some TLC.

We enjoyed our overall stay very much. There are some upkeep issues that need to be addressed at the property such as loose tiles throughout the house and an area where a leak upstairs has Sheetrock coming loose in the living room. All ceiling fans need dusted as well. Great place for large groups who want to be right on the beach!

Pool was vey well maintained our entire visit. Access to beach was fantastic especially with small children. It was peaceful and relaxing. Thank you Sarah. It’s definitely a vacation we all will never forget.

Dirtiest house we ever stayed in with Verbo

Had to rewash a lot of dishes and utensils Ceilings were leaking really bad when it rained. Tracy knew this before she rented to us and then tried to send out someone the day before we left. Sheets were dirty. Had to spend half day washing them. Hair and makeup on them. The only good thing I can say is beach and pool were great. Lot of cracked tile. Dirty furniture. Worst place we ever stayed. Asked to be moved but was told no.
Our closet had dirty vacuums and dirty stuff on shelves
Hand rails were filthy
Fans in all rooms look like they hadn’t been cleaned for years

Extremely Disappointed – Not Worth the Money!

We paid several thousand dollars for this rental and were extremely disappointed by the number of unacceptable issues we encountered. The listing photos are misleading and do not reflect the current condition of the property.There is visible mold on the ceiling in the living room. Only one TV remote in the entire unit works. There is no broom, mop, or vacuum available—yet both the floors and the pool were covered in sand when we arrived. The downstairs master bedroom has multiple broken tiles, the toilet seat is damaged, and water pressure throughout the home is very low. A frayed lamp cord in the downstairs bedroom also poses a serious fire hazard.After reaching out to both the owner and the cleaning company, we were told a mop and broom could be delivered. This response is simply not acceptable. At this price point, guests should never be expected to handle basic cleaning upon check-in. The lack of preparation reflects poorly on both the owner’s management and the cleaning company’s standards.The only positive aspect of this rental is that it truly is located directly on the beach—but that alone does not justify the condition of the home or the premium price.

Love the location!

The house is beautiful and has lots of room! It’s super close to the beach and the pool was heated. We actually spent a lot of time enjoying the pool. I will definitely consider this home for our next vacation!

Great property/location poorly managed

Master Bath had half roll of TP for 4 night stay. Dishwasher was full of dishes on arrival. Pool was advertised as heated but was too cold for the kids. After reaching out to mgmt I was blown off and told to be patient bcs the pool takes a while to heat up and told based on mgmt’s phone app that temp was adequate as it was at 76. Pool was finally warm enough to use the final day of our stay. For the amount we were spending it just felt like things were being done on the cheap. But the house and location were wonderful, easy beach access, and lots of privacy. Has potential to be a 5-star beach house.

Family Vacation

We had a great time here. The house was very clean. The location is driving distance to the hangout and had some great local restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend.

Nothing better than being directly on the beach with a pool, but there were some issues

The good: 4 BR, on the beach, semi-private pool, interior great for a big family Not listing-specific, but as Ohioans here for the 1st time, we noticed: properties in this gulf region are much more $$$ than further south in FL. Traveling w/5 kids, we opted to pay more in order to cut 3-7 hours out of the drive. Also, there's not much vegetation relative to further south. And not walkable - no sidewalks on this main drag. Feels a little desolate. The bad: -Chiefly, the pool was broken for ~3 days. After repair, the underwater light never came back on (thus robbing us of pleasant nighttime swimming ambience). Things break. That's life. But unfortunately mgmt didn't make it right via small partial refund, gift cards, etc. (something I know exemplary VRBO listings do). We paid a premium for a pool that was unusable for almost 1/2 the stay. -Outdoor shower plumbing leaks everywhere when in use & is "secured" w/duct tape. Vacuum cleaner doesn't work. -Stingy amt of supplies: 1 dishwasher pod, etc. Maybe that's the standard in Gulf Shores, but definitely doesn't feel hospitable for a place that sleeps 12 -Confusing communication after booking. An unsolicited & vague text from property mgmt read like spam. Before I engaged, I messaged the owner on VRBO to verify legitimacy -"Clean" bedding was sandy upon check-in This year we're driving 4 hrs further south to stay at a place w/almost same amenities, 1k more sf, but at half the price.

Good time of year to visit.

Condo was well equipped with condiments ; salt, pepper, coffee filters, Had enough pots and pans and other kitchen items . The storage closet outside was full of pails, shovels and floats of all sizes . I was very dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the place! Under the beds desperately needed dusting as did the ceiling fans. Trash can area in kitchen was filthy, trash cans outside were very smelly and need to be cleaned. The door in the upstairs master was hard to keep closed but the air conditioner worked well. Probably would not stay there again .

Wonderful Vacation Home for our Family

We weren’t sure what to expect after reading some bad reviews after we had already booked. If you are looking for “new” and fancy- this isn’t the home for you. You should go to a higher price point- like twice as high if those things are important. We were all pleasantly surprised and quite frankly think those low reviews are ridiculous! The kitchen has MORE than enough dishes, pots and pans and utensils. There were coffee filters, spices, laundry soap, dishwasher soap. The owners even provided big, thick beach towels and tons of beach toys, floats and chairs. The location can’t be beat. The pool was lovely and no smaller than any private home beach pool. Yes, you hear the neighbors going up the steps but they hear you also. It’s not a big deal. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is the beds upstairs (3 bedrooms up) really were not too comfortable according to my adult children. The king downstairs was fine for my husband and myself. We would love to make this home our annual family vacation rental if the mattresses get upgraded. But we had a wonderful stay and made fabulous memories!

I was going to elaborate on all these reviews and offer my thoughts as well but there is a 1500 char. limit so - pool IS MUCH smaller than you may think from the pics. but still did its job for our small ones in our stay. - Deck is in need of refinish and stain or paint. as well as the small walk out below the pool deck. -Plenty of cookware. Toaster size was fine. weird thing to review, Robert. -curtain situation is lacking BAD. two deck door curtains were upstairs in the bunk room and the window in living room was curtains just nailed up -we arrived an hour early, cleaner, a young college aged male, was finishing up. Assured him not to rush. Saying that, hire a better service. Very dusty fans, vents, bathroom vents. -Furniture is quite dingy -some outlets your plugs ins will just fall out of. Idk how else to explain. -floors aren't ideal for a beach house. They are worn and torn from elements. Also dont seemed to be put in correctly in many places. I think this is what one reviewer was considering "buckled" floors. - you WILL hear your neighbors obviously. Ours were great but sounded like a heard of buffalo going up and down stairs. Overall if you pay attention, and do research, this property seems to have been purchased not long ago and with some investment into the investment it can be better. Does need some very focused TLC. better than hauling crap up and down a condo though! would not rule out another stay and Tosha was great! 1500 char limit sucks VRBO!

Never Again

pool is much, much smaller than pictured. Pool did not appear to have been cleaned prior to our arrival had sand in pool. Underwater pool light did not work.Missing deck umbrella at pool side. Some bathroom lights were out, interior floor laminate is peeling in places. Outside deck paint gone exposing rusted screw heads. Kitchen lacked the cookware for 12 people. Had a 2 slot toaster and a 6" diameter skillet for 12 people. Found a couple of wall outlets not working. Missing livingroom curtain, could not watch TV in daytime because of the sunlight glare off TV. We only had 6 people but felt crowed and disapointed with the amenities. For what was paid, we expected much better.

A property needing TLC

The location was great-excellent beach access. The pool was small and shared with other side of unit. We arrived for check in at 4 pm and we were not able to get in as the cleaning service was still in the process of cleaning the unit. Property manager was notified that pool needed cleanng and pool maintenance crew came the next day and after that it was good. The was plenty of outdoor furniture and it was in good shape. The beds were comfortable and the appliances worked but over all this unit had a lot of wear and tear and really needed a deep clean, repairs and some updates. The back patio deck needed sanding and painting. There was an outdoor grill but it was filthy and there was nothing availabe to clean it with so we had to abandon our barbecue plans. Overall given the cost of the rental we expected it to be in better condition. Thosha,the property manager, was very responsive to texts. On the last day of our stay the lower floor AC unit was not working. Tosha got a technician out and had the unit working within a couple of hours.

Nice

Nice location, had a great time but ....Pool should be heated through April not March. Televisions are terrible. Only first floor bedroom TV worked. Living room TV kept freezing up and restarting. Two TV's upstairs did not work at all and the other only got the Friends show.

We loved that this home is a duplex and not a high rise condo. It has a pool that is only shared by the other side. But the best part is no elevators and the beach is just steps out the door. It is also in the best location of Gulf Shores, near the center of town with great restaurants, shopping and kids activities.

We feel at ease when we walk into the door of this home. The soothing sea salt colored walls put you in the mood to relax! The large rooms accommodate everyone we have staying with us, plus extras! Having two master bedrooms is also a big plus!
