Bring your water toys to dock at the private pier. Paddle board, kayaking, swimming, fishing or sunbathing at three different beaches. Pontoon boat and tube available for rent on a daily basis. Additional 4 bedroom home available 1 block away on the lake for weddings, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays or other special events.

Overall great stay for a family of 7! Lots of space and amenities in the house that made everyone feel at home. Family enjoyed the outdoor space even in the cooler fall weather, and fishing was a big hit with the kids. Daniel was a very responsive host and helped us navigate some last second changes to our plans with respect and understanding. Highly recommend staying here and will if the opportunity presents itself in the future.

This is a beautiful home with tons of space. The home was very clean for being pet friendly, although we didn't bring our boys for the long ride. The view was fantastic, especially while sitting in the massage chair in the sun room. The host, Daniel, was very welcoming and helpful with places to eat and check out in the area, along with providing nice snack baskets and other little treats. We were in the area for our sons graduation from Great Lakes, and all in all, it was an amazing stay!

We were in town for an extended weekend to celebrate our son’s graduation from Navy bootcamp. This property was our home base for extended family that came up to visit and celebrate with us. The house is spacious and perfect for larger groups to gather and spend time together. The views are spectacular, beds are comfortable, and the host is extremely generous and accommodating. We loved our visit and highly recommend this property for our Navy families! Hooyah Navy!

Perfect for a group!

Our family of 9 loved staying here for a weekend! We also rented the boat, and Daniel was really responsive to all of our questions! We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay so much! Great location, lots of space, and access to the lake. The kitchen was very well stocked to make every meal, more than enough bathroom and beach towel, and comfortable beds and bedding. Host was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Hope to stay here again.

The house is spacious and has two separate living areas. A kitchen in the lower level was a plus. Very clean and beds were comfortable. The best bed had a Select Comfort mattress which we sleep on at home. That was a surprise. Fully stocked kitchen, and lots of towels. We were in the lake daily.

Great House on the Lake Near Great Lakes Recruit Training Command

My family and I stayed here for my son's graduation from Naval boot camp. The house is very relaxing with a gorgeous view of the lake. It accommodates pets and has plenty of space for large families. The beds were super comfy and so was the spacious couch in the main living room. I loved that the hosts baked us cookies and left treats. Highly commend if you're in the area.

4th of July Lakehouse stay

We had a great time. We were a family of 4 with 20 something kids and a few of their friends. We rented the boat twice during our stay and were able to use the tube to go tubing. I used the Kayak's in the morning for exercise. At night we went out on the boat to watch fireworks and swim during the day. Round Lake is a medium sized lake, large enough for boating, but not overcrowed on the holiday. There were cookies, wine and snacks waiting for us there when we checked in. There are extra blow up mattresses in the closets. There are a full set of dishes in the kitchen, sheets, blanket and towels. There are some board games available. There is a good view from the three season room both on the top and bottom floor. 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 downstairs. One king and 4 queen/full beds. Everything was clean when we arrived. Arrival and exit instructions were clear.

So much potential

The inside of this lake house was clean, beautifully decorated and inviting. The location had a beach and sand volleyball court about 7 houses down. It was perfect for my three generations family trip for my daughter’s graduation. The outside patios and dock were not usable when we arrived. The patio was filthy dirty. The downstairs patio was even dirtier and there were piles of garbage and supplies. The dock was filled with seaweed that needed to be cleared so the boys could be out there. A broken paddle board and kayak filled with dirt and seaweed. We came to the lake to spend just as much time outside and my husband and I spent hours cleaning so we could use the space and the furniture. I sent messages to the owner with no reply. And Saturday the water heater broke. They couldn’t get a plumber there until Sat night. Luckily my husband was able to fix it after spending his whole morning in a closet that was also filled with junk. Got a message back that they issued a $500 credit. And that was it. They would have spent more than that on the plumber. I booked this house because of the reviews and premier host. We made the best of it for our family and had a wonderful time. But it was a stressful weekend for my husband and I. I wasn’t looking for money off, but an acknowledgment from the host that the outside was not summer ready would have been lovely.

Our stay was quiet and cozy for our new Navy graduate fresh from bootcamp. It was important to her to have a nice low key stay without a lot of activity surrounding her. We were even able to extend one more day to be able to spend extra time with her.

Relaxed fall stay

Our host, Dan, was extremely helpful when I messed up the entry code. He was there in minutes to let us in. The views are beautiful, the furniture is comfy and the neighborhood was quiet. We saw great blue heron on the dock, swans and geese in the lake. We had a lovely visit.

A lovely house on a lovely lake!

The lake house and lake were exactly as described. Fave activity was floating near the dock on our rafts! We also rented the pontoon which was nice to be able to take a tour around the lake. Thank you!

Family Lake Trip

Lovely home, beautiful views, kind owners! Dan and Tammy offer a winning experience for a lake getaway. The house was welcoming and there was ample room inside and out to enjoy it. We loved kayaking and fishing off the dock, and it was great to have a little beach to walk to just a few houses away. The kitchen was great for cooking in, linens in all of the bedrooms were clean and soft, and plenty of regular and beach towels for all! Lots of little extra touches including cookies, wine, and a s'mores tackle box--and you must try the massage chair! Thank you for a relaxing and much needed family getaway!

Great place to spend with family!

This was a very relaxing vacation with lots of fun things to do. We rented the pontoon boat and tube and had a great time swimming, fishing and tubing on the lake, and we also spent time on the beach and used the kayaks several times as well. All of us took a drive to a nearby beach on Lake Michigan one day and my adult kids went to Chicago to see improv theatre another night. There were 6 adults and 3 kids in our group, and there was plenty of space in the house for all of us. Our host, Daniel, was very responsive to any questions we had, and everyone appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the freshly baked cookies left for us, as well as other treats!

Lake home

Great accommodations for family. Fully stocked large kitchen. Very comfortable. Disappointed with water condition by pier; had pieces of scrap metal so couldn't let kids or dogs jump in and swim. Beach 3 blocks away was helpful. Beautiful lake views!
