The amenities were fine, great access to the beach and pools.The condo we stayed in was dirty when we got there, kitchen floor was dirty, 1/3 bath medicine chest is disgusting, other peoples hair in bathroom, the fan in the 1/2 bath was noisy enough to wake the dead. We had mouse droppings on the refrigerator and then on the counter. I informed the rental company, nothing was done with the fan but the floors were re-cleaned and mouse droppings cleaned up Mouse poison was brought in. The condo could use some major updates as noted in other reviews but it doesn’t seem the owner cares

Decor outdated

While we enjoyed our stay for the most part, we did feel the condo was a little outdated in decor. The walls are an old mustard color. A white or light gray paint with make it feel more inviting and even have the appearance of a little larger space. The light in the half bath, when you turned it on, sounded like a dying cat. I also wish we would’ve been told that Unit particularly did not have a washer and dryer.

Good but needs some Updates

Overall our stay was pretty good. We loved the location—great view from the condo deck and really only steps to the beautiful beach. The pool was the cleanest pool we’d ever been in. We came here to basically just lay around the pool and beach so that made us quite happy. The condo walls seem thick so we never really heard any other guests which is very important. The price was also great considering it was a last minute reservation. Now for what we didn’t like. As others have said, the condo needs major updating. A fresh coat of paint would go a long way in making it feel cleaner. The king mattress is quite uncomfortable as are the pillows. The master bathroom is very very small and could use a total overhaul but that’s just our opinion. Both toilets in the condo flushed slowly and incompletely ( one of them completely clogged but maintenance was there within a couple of hours to fix). On our last day we tried to start the dishwasher per check out instructions and that was not working. Also, and this is minor, but would be very nice if there were table lamps in the living room on the 2 end tables—-perhaps the type where you can charge your devices on? All that said, we would definitely come back to this area but would probably not rent this specific unit.

We had a great stay. The property was in a great location right on the beach with indoor and outdoor pools to enjoy and restaurants within walking distance.

Perdido sun

Overall the condo and property were great. Low density building so the beach wasn’t too crowded. I will say, the bed is pretty uncomfortable and condo is dated. No stopper in the tub and the bathroom smelled like mildew. Didn’t matter too much because obviously you’re on the beach the majority of the time. But the kitchen isn’t fully stocked in my opinion. Not a lot of glasses, only 1 really terrible oven mitt.. would stay in the building again but may pick a different unit.

One and Done

Nice place just nothing to do there. Only one restaurant across the street open later than 3pm. No restaurant at the property & no activities either. Just not for us but a nice place

needs some work

The location of the property is great with good beach view. The condo itself left a lot to be desired. Our biggest complaint was the shower. It drained so slowly that if you took a shower an hour after the person ahead of you, you would be standing in their dirty shower water. The toilet flushed slowly and not completely. The storage room doors at the entrance are ripped off and missing which looked tacky. Sheets were scratchy. I rarely leave reviews but felt this one was necessary. I’ve seen some of the same complaints on prior reviews of this unit, one would think these repairs would be fixed for better customer satisfaction.

Disappointed

This unit is very outdated. The toilet runs all the time in the bedroom. The tub is soft to stand in. The outlets near the bathroom sink make the lights flicker and go out when you plug in a curling iron. We could not use it. The pull out bed mattress(if you call it that) was like sleeping on springs. It was probably 2 inches thick. There is missing tiles on the balcony. I think that says enough. I could say more.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay at perdido sun. The property was clean, and we had everything we needed, but there were no doors on outside storage areas, so we had to bring out chairs and wagon inside the condo.

6 Outdoor balcony tiles missing; outdoor furniture in bad shape. bathroom is vey small and dated...chipped tub and toilet... tiles sunken in , kids rubber duck shower rod that fell down in the middle of the night and closet door tracks are rusted. Outside of the front door is an area to use for beach chairs and umbrellas.... no doors on them for this unit.... other units had a locking door. The back elevator and both stairwells are very dirty. On a good note... the view was beautiful.

Rental property

No inside pool, no hot tub, no washer and dryer like what it said online. The property still under construction so we could not open balcony door or view from balcony. Some damages stuffs inside building. Hopefully everything will improve soon before summer comes.
