Beautiful Guest Suite with Private Deck Overlooking Forest and Waterfall

This newly remodeled, modern guest suite is nestled in the Tolman Creek canyon and surrounded by a beautiful madrone, pine, fir, and oak forest. The 450 sq ft suite features a private entrance, large deck, and secluded lawn with Japanese maples. Inside is a dining area with a canyon view, sitting area with high-speed internet, 60" flat screen TV streaming Netflix, Amazon, and Acorn, fully stocked kitchenette and bath, and a comfortable king bed. Located on a quiet paved road in the foothills 10 minutes drive from downtown Ashland. Wake up to hummingbirds at the feeder and deer passing through the yard.

(Please be aware there are two curved flights of concrete steps (17 and 10 steps) from your parking spot down to the suite. They are in good repair and there is a handrail. If you have concerns about this, you may use one of our parking spaces and avoid the upper stairs. Just ask!)

This is a lovely property in a quiet area. The hosts, Carl and Linda, are very guest focused and took care of all my needs. The kitchen should be supplied with paper napkins. Website needs to be updated as they no longer have a Keurig. The Nespresso was wonderful. The wifi worked great. Access to parking is a bit tricky, but through the host's help, we made it work. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.

Wonderful place to stay!

This was a great place to stay while visiting family in Ashland. The location was perfect, peaceful and beautiful! The bed was very comfortable with lots of comfy pillows and blankets. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed that some items were already there such as coffee! It was very clean, organized and well thought out. We had everything we needed! We really enjoyed the fireplace on the chilly mornings! We will stay here again and can highly recommend this place!

We loved our stay at this property! The location was just perfect to enjoy the Fall season! The property is very well appointed with little thoughtful touches and the location to town is great! Beautiful little space, gorgeous environment

From the moment walked in until the time we left, the space was wonderful. Gorgeous setting. Close to town. Everything we needed. Very comfortable bed. Only thing I would make guests aware of is this space is below the owners home. So if you are sensitive to movement and some noise above you, it may not be for you.

Quiet Quaint Getaway

Lovely spot to rest and recoup. Very clean with a super comfy bed and sheets. The Nespresso and access to kitchen essentials is a nice touch. I can imagine after a nice rain how lovely and lush the view would be, we’ll have to come back when it’s green! Short drive from downtown. Communication was easy via texts. Minor quibbles - quite a few gnats, spiders and flies in the property itself and the sound of the property owner walking above the bed from time to time but otherwise a very lovely space for you and a loved one.

Great stay here at this scrupulously clean, well-organized, and lovely spot. Only a few minutes from downtown, this place in the woods was beautiful and one of the best VRBOs I have ever stayed in.

Beautiful property

The location was very easy to find and absolutely beautiful. Its a perfect place to stay for two, nice and cozy. The view from the window and porch look out over a creek with an abundance of wildlife moving about on the hillside. Downtown Ashland is very close as well, with many trailheads within a 20 minute drive. We will definitely be staying here again!

I canning say enough about how much we enjoyed this property. The gardens were amazing, and waking up to the sound of the trickling waterfalls could not be beat. The couple who lives on the property is amazingly communicative, but it was also a very private experience. Grocery is not far mad dining is easily accessible.

Great spot for relaxation

You can't beat the canyon and creek views, it is a quiet and relaxing spot to stay, watch birds and wildlife. The host was very helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Cute Hidden Retreat

Communication with the hosts was excellent. They were easy to contact via text, which made everything very easy. The suite itself was immaculate. Other than cellphone chargers, the suite had everything we needed, including a bottle of wine and chocolate to welcome us. The suite also has its own deck with table and chairs, but further down some stairs is another deck with a fire pit, which was a nice was to wind down the day. The only thing to keep in mind is that to get to the suite, you must climb down several stone stairs that are irregular in comparison with standard stairs you'd find in a home. It wasn't a problem for us, but perhaps those with leg issues may find this challenging.

We are outdoorsy people, which is why we chose this property. There are no neighbors in sight and we are surrounded by beauty. We enjoy backpacking, skiing, canoeing, hiking and camping. Anything to do with being in the wilderness. We are happy to share the beauty of this place. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The view of the canyon and forest is amazing throughout the year. Tolman Creek runs through the property most of the year, a peaceful babbling brook. We built a deck overlooking a 25 foot waterfall with multiple pools down the canyon. A wonderful array of birds and animals visit, including hawks, owls, acorn woodpeckers, hummingbirds, deer and an occasional bear or fox. Away from the lights of Ashland the night sky is incredible.
