Luxuriously comfortable & peaceful getaway downtown Ashland, with views.

Considering the central location of this little gem, it is amazingly peaceful. There is a long driveway that takes you up to the cottage, nestled in trees, with a lovely view across the valley from the balcony, the deck, or the little fenced yard.
Being in downtown Ashland, it is across the street from the Cabaret Theater and a block from Lithia Park, three Oregon Shakespeare Theaters & the Green Show, the downtown movie theater, shops, restaurants, and a comprehensive hike & bike trail system. Southern Oregon University is also just a few blocks away with more art venues to enjoy. Ashland is nestled between 3 mountain ranges also, so there is plenty to explore, including the fruit orchards, lavender farms, and wineries in the valley. After skiing on Mt. Ashland, it is a great place to come back to relax with the fireplace and soaking tub.
Guests are welcome to charge their electric cars in the upper parking space.

This carriage house was fantastic! The finishes were beautiful the bed was very comfortable!It was a very dog friendly place with a doggy door dog bed and a safe yard .The kitchen was well equipped but the bathroom was like a five star hotel with a huge soaking tub and heated floors!We will be back!

Kathy is honestly the best host ever! This is our most favorite spot to stop on our way from Lake Oswego to La Quinta, twice a year. The room is so private and comfortable and we LOVE the bed bathtub...super cozy and quiet!

This lovely property was perfectly located and beautifully appointed. We enjoyed all that Ashland had to offer without driving. All dining, entertainment, and shopping was easily walkable. We enjoyed a fantastic show at the cabaret theater that was steps from the driveway of the property. The owner is responsive with easy no contact entrance and exit to property.

Perfect spot to enjoy all Ashland has to offer. We came to enjoy Shakespeare festival and visit friends. Didn’t need to use our car. One block to Main Street with all the shops, quick walk to the theaters and into Lithia Park. Studio cottage is very nicely appointed, quiet, comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

This house was perfectly dog friendly - fenced in area with dirt/grass areas & blankets/dog bed/towel for the inside. The location was close to everything we wanted to do in Ashland. Very luxurious bathroom, too, which was unexpected. Would definitely stay again.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely & charming studio cottage. It was perfect for our one night visit. We had stopped at the Market of Choice to select some things from their amazing deli for our dinner. Once we'd settled into the cottage, we had our wine & cheese on the darling little balcony overlooking Ashland & the mountains beyond. What a spectacular view! Later, while watching a movie on Netflix, we had our dinner inside using the cute little table & chairs. Afterwards, we slept soundly in the most comfortable bed! Kathy is a great host, helpful & friendly! She has thought of every detail to make your stay comfortable & memorable: including plenty of big, fluffy towels; a great selection of tea & an electric kettle for boiling water; umbrellas; games & reading material; and there are several pretty outdoor areas to enjoy, as well! The only thing I would caution future guests about, and Kathy does mention this in her description, is the very steep driveway and the dozen or so stairs up to the unit itself. We are seniors in our 70's and managed ok, but it could be difficult for others. However, I highly recommend this lovely place to all those who are agile!!! You will most definitely enjoy it!!!

We've stayed in Ashland more times than I can count, coming sometimes twice a year for OSF. This is far and away the very best lodging we've ever enjoyed. Spotless, with very nice furnishings throughout, including kitchen necessities. Just one block from the theaters, it is a very private, quiet, hillside studio with lovely views. And if I could transfer that luxurious bathroom to my own home, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

My husband and I rented this wonderful cottage for 3 nights. It was stocked with everything we needed . . . and more! The space is beautiful, comfortable and quiet. Due to the central location, I was able to walk everywhere. Kathy is a very thoughtful host. We hope to return one day.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I just LOVE it! You have everything needed for a relaxing break—the outside seating areas and the huge soaking tub make it extra special. Also so close to the downtown area and theater options.

A winner!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the downtown cottage. Just steps from the OSF theaters and downtown shops/restaurants. The cottage was clean and has all you need to make your stay enjoyable. Morning coffee was even better with the view of the hills. This is our new favorite place to stay when in Ashland.

Can't Wait to Go Back

We have been traveling to Ashland for the past 40 years and this was one of the top 2-3 destinations we've booked in all that time! There are so many good things to say about it. This location is an easy walk away from most places in Ashland including the Shakespeare Festival, so many great shops and restaurants, and the wonderful Food Co-op. To get that easy access while settling into a lovely neighborhood with a great view of the hills to the east was a real bonus. Inside, the accommodations are both beautiful and comfortable with plenty of space to do whatever you want. Since the weather was warm, we really appreciated having 2 options for outdoor seating - one that is more shaded in the morning as the sun rises and the other that is perfect for soaking up the view of the hills. We will definitely be back!

Charming

We stayed for just one night and were delighted with the close proximity to OSF shops and restaurants. The stairs were easily managed with a handrail and non-slip mats, however we minimized our luggage needs. The sleeping and kitchen area are attractive and cozy. There is a small balcony too. The bath area is gorgeous and made a wonderful place to relax after our travels.

Now retired in the nicest small town that I can imagine with a wonderful dog and sweet playful cat, enjoying music, theater, and art as well as the mountains, with occassional runs to the ocean. I love having guests stay at the Cottage and I enjoy working here and there in the yard.

Everyday, I am grateful that I live in the downtown area of this little cultural town, nestled between 3 mountain ranges, on the southern slope with hiking opportunities beyond the imagination. My very favorite part of this house, is that from June 1 to the end of September, 4 -5 days a week, there is "the Green Show" put on by Oregon Shakespeare Theater. Live music 1 block away outside for 45 minutes. And it is free. And it is an incredible selection of fantastic artists. I love going to a choice of 4 theaters within a block from my house. I also enjoy walking downtown to a restaurant or through Lithia Park to the bandstand or ice skating rink and into the mountatins. Then there is cross country skiing, It is just a beautiful mountin area.
