So convenient to pool and beach! Grill area is great for cooking(charcoal)! We used additional unit for plenty of space for 9 people! Well stocked with cookware, dishes and pool and beach supplies as well as towels! Owner excellent to work with!

Our stay was wonderful. There is so much to do and the area has stunning views and beautiful landscapes. The condo and additional suite makes it very comfortable for a large family. The plus was each bedroom has its own bathroom. Jim is very accommodating and has a lot of helpful information and resources about the island and Amelia island plantation.

A mosr beautiful view

We had a wonderful week at Amelia and love staying in the Omni Resort. The location is great, the beach wide and beautiful and the pool great for families. The view from the balcony is incredible and watching the sunrise over the ocean is a great way to start the day. The host is easy to work with and very responsive.

This Shipwatch Villas condo at Omni Amelia Island Resort was perfect for our family reunion. Everyone appreciated the ensuite bathrooms, the big patio upstairs with its great views of the landscaping, local bunnies and tortoises, the pool, and, of course, the ocean, as well as convenience to the grocery store and local state parks. We had a minor issue with the A/C that the host resolved very promptly and satisfactorily. Communication was excellent throughout, and we're already making plans to return next year.

Perfect spot for a big family!

This was our first stay here. Perfect spot for our large family group (total 13 - we also utilized the adjoining wuite), with plenty of room to spread out (two levels) and comfortable bedding. Never felt over crowded. Location is outstanding, just steps from the pool short walk to beach. Condo well appointed and very comfortable. All the beach chairs and toys you'd need in the convenient storage closet by the pool. Owner is very responsive and provides plenty of info. Excellent value, would gladly stay here again!

The property was as described. There was a lovely view of the ocean from the deck and front room. There was a major problem withe the refrigerator that the owner told us about before our stay and offered acceptable solutions to. He answered quickly to any of our questions. The weather could have been more welcoming but that was not a problem anyone could fix. :). We would rent this the next time we are in Amelia Island.

Perfect 3BR Unit

This is an absolute gem of a property. We have stayed in many units on the plantation and this one may be the best combination of location, size, accommodations and owner communication. This is a perfect unit for larger parties, with a very spacious lower floor with the 3 bedrooms. The upper floor is a perfect space as well for dining, congregating and enjoying the perfect view of both the pool and the ocean. I couldn’t recommend this property more.

We chose this location because we have 3 dogs that we were able to take with us. The unit might need a bit of upkeeping though. The dining chairs need new upholstery and the restroom fascia board needs to be fixed. Also, the pillow covers were still a bit wet. Other than those, the condo is well equipped, and clean. The swimming pool is right in front of our unit and behind it is the beach. We all had a great short vacay and we hope to come back soon.

My family (three adult couples and five children ages 9-14) just completed a weekend in this home.The townhouse was clean and well appointed. The best part was the fact that the children slept upstairs on the two fold out couches and an air mattress, and the three couples each had a primary bedroom type situation downstairs, each with their own bathroom. This was the first time we had encountered this type of set up, and it worked out very well.The balcony off the living/dining room offers a view of the pool and the beach in the distance. The resort itself is beautiful with several things to do. We have stayed in VRBO homes in Beach towns all over the state, and we have all agreed that Amelia Island is where we will go from now on, hopefully to stay in the same unit again. It was a weekend!

Amelia Stay with Kacey

Property is in excellent location and has great ocean view. Property itself needs updating including Painting, furniture outdated and too large, kitchen needs remodel and new appliances, a number of missing and non-functioning lights. Everything works for the most part but I am not sure I’d re-book for a week or longer stay. We will be booking again in Amelia Island. A one off problem was the router for the tv, phone and Wi-Fi replaced prior to our arrival. We had problems with all components and 1 of 4 tvs. Most were fixed by the time we left.

Outdated and dirty

Property is in a good location but is very outdated and dirty. Floors were sticky to walk on and dishes were not clean. Positives: Plenty of linens, a great view and owner had excellent communicateion.

We enjoyed staying here. The property is lovely. The walk to the beach was longer and more steps than we expected. Not necessarily a problem, just something to be aware of.

Amazing location

Accessing the property was very easy. The location is perfect, pool and beach are perfect and never crowded. The space is perfect for families, lots of room. The condo is a bit outdated but very comfortable

Everything was wonderful! Condo was clean and inviting. Rooms were tastefully decorated. View from the balcony was beautiful. Jim was a very hospitable host. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent Stay

This place has it all. We loved are whole trip. The facilities at the resort were top notch. Kids loved the pool and beach. We played tennis everyday. It was probably one of our families favorite vacations and can’t wait to come back

the view was great and the pool was nice but the condo was tired and in need of a good scrub

The pictures on the website did not represent the actual appearance of the condo which was very tired and worn looking. Pipe under the kitchen sink leaked very badly and it looked like it wasn't the first time. The floors were sandy and sticky in the upstairs living and kitchen. Sheets on the beds were worn thin and covers were very faded, very much in need of updates. Very large table on the balcony that made it so you could barley enjoy the view. For the price I expected better. I will not use VRBO again
