The Space:

Bella Vista is a beautiful coastal inspired beach home that offers amazing sunsets and spectacular views of the beach, Gulf of Mexico, and East Galveston Bay all from the furnished wrap-around deck. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, and is located on the quiet end of the Bolivar Peninsula, while still being just a short drive to shopping and restaurants.



Bright and airy, Bella Vista’s great room is flooded with natural light that bathes the beautiful furnishings with a warm glow. The spacious open concept beach house allows for easy entertaining between the large living room with an electric fireplace, dining room, and kitchen with breakfast bar and stools. The kitchen is fully stocked with a drip coffee machine, blender, microwave, slow cooker, etc. Some pantry items, spices, and limited paper supplies are also provided.



On the main floor you will find the primary bedroom and a bunk room. The primary bedroom has an amazing beachfront view with a king size bed and a television. Next is the twin over twin bunkbed in the second bedroom (also with its own television). Upstairs you have a bedroom with one queen over queen bunk and one full size bed; as well as a loft bedroom with 2 queen beds. High speed internet is provided for your streaming convenience.



Then there's the the lower level you will find a large entertaining space with a charcoal grill, picnic/bar area and outdoor seating. The convenient outdoor sand shower is perfect for rinsing off your time at the beach. You can experience the wonderful sights and sounds of the coast, whether bird watching in the Bolivar Flats or fishing in the gulf. Bella Vista beach house is perfect for your next family get-together or best friends' getaway weekend. This is a family-friendly beach that cannot be beat, so bring the everyone and enjoy!



If you need extra space, another Swedes property, Bach Haus, is directly across the street!



Small dogs (35 pounds and under) allowed with pet fee. Cargo lift is NOT available for guest use. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

It was a good stay and good house, but odd way of managing linens. We had to pay for sheets and make every bed/pillow in the house. Last time I’ll be staying at one managed by that company.

The rooms were great I loved that the beds were basically sealed to the floor in a few rooms this was perfect from keeping things from getting lost. We did have issues with the washer/dryer as it did not function properly and changed the color of the load of clothes that was in there. The walk to the beach from the house was the best part. All in all it’s a great home.

Temu size and not an actual 4 bedroom house, one of the rooms upstairs is an open area and you can clearly hear everything that happens in the house. Not comfortable. Refrigerator took some time to work but maintenance came and fixed it.

The home was beautiful, the view was spectacular, and the close access to the beach made everything so much easier to and from the beach. The local food places were all about 10-15 minute drive and the food was all so amazing! Perfect spot for your family to enjoy a beachfront week!

Spring Break

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time! Loved the layout of the house and the beds were comfy. The beach was a very close walk and not crowded at all. The kitchen was very well stocked with just about everything we needed. The couch could use an upgrade. There was not a regular washer and dryer. Only a very small washer/dryer combo unit, so I was not able to wash towels. Next time we will pay the extra fee for linens. The yard needed to be mowed. The outdoor shower was just a hose in the shower, but it worked fine for a quick rinse. The location was great! We were far enough from the crowds, and just a quick drive to local restaurants and gas stations. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again.

However the exterior was not as advertised. The photos show a nice porch and downstairs area that is painted grey and white. When we got their the porch and downstairs was half way painted this awful red/brown color and it obviously had been done some time ago bc it was peeling off. Also felt weird having to pay for linens and then still having to make all of the beds ourself. Going on vacation felt more like being a housemaid instead.

What a mess

Renters Beware!An RV combo washer/dryer should never been used in a 4 bedroom (sleeps 16) rental. Between the washer dryer combo not working and flooding, the management team wouldn’t do anything about it. Not only did we have to pay for all of linens and towels we then had to drive to Winnie in order to wash and clean all of the towels we paid for after cleaning up the flooded floors. But wait it gets better!The dishwasher leaks along with the fact it will open on its own during a cycle and again causes flooding, leading to yet another trip to Winnie to the laundromat. The ice maker in the fridge is not working along with the high chance of having a seizure due to the fast flashing led lights in the fridge and freezer. The upstairs shower doesn’t work along with all the porch lights being out. Oh and make sure you bring your own toilet paper and paper towels as management will NOT provide you extras. I’m sure the list of none working items is even longer.After 3 days of complaining, out of our 6 day stay, we finally were told they would credit us 1 night stay back….We love the Bolivar Peninsula and have came down every 3-4 months for the past few years, staying a different place every time. Out of all the places we have stayed down here I have to say this is by far the worst stay we have had.The views and location of this house are good but the complete lack of maintenance doesn’t justify it.

There were many many light bulbs burned out but we made it work. The deck on the outside was spacious although we wished it had a table to sit at. The deck was in poor repair and had lots of sharp and rough spots from peeling paint. The beach was very close and easy to get down to.

28th Year at the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We searched for homes with a lift because we needed one. Bella Vista came up and we had stayed there before and used the lift. Because it came up we thought that meant the lift was available. There were 5 women over 65 at this camp in the middle of a storm. It literally took hours be get everything up there. Please fix your site so other will not think the lift is available. It shouldn't come up under that search criteria if it's not available. We have rented with you for over 20 years. This was very disappointing. And there was no ice maker in the refrigerator. A beach house needs an ice maker

Perfect Location for a Family Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is well-kept and comfortable. We were so excited it is also pet friendly so our dog could come for his first beach trip too. With the beach access road right next to the house, it was easy to load up the car and drop off our needs for the day on the beach and then drive the car back so we weren’t hauling back and forth on foot. We loved our stay. The only downfall is there isn’t a separate washer and dryer so if we had stayed longer than our 4 days we might have gone to a laundromat. Other than that, beautiful property and amenities.

The house was beautiful, with the beach just a few feet away. It was clean and well kept. There were enough rooms and beds for eveyone in our party. The experience was just wonderful!!We are planning another beach trip around spring break and we’ll definitely be going back!!Highly recommended!!!
