Great little spot. Right in the middle of just about everything. We rented bikes and you could bike to all the major spots in 10 min or less. House was clean and as advertised. Pool was nice and warm. Privacy could be a concern if traveling with friends. Just keep that in mind. Inside was quaint but nowhere really to escape if you needed to have a little privacy. No complaints. We enjoyed it very much

Outdoor shower was also convenient. Great house, big screened in porch, definitely recommend. One downside was that the yard was mowed the day after the pool was cleaned, resulting with us doing some pool maintenance of our own. Overall, great place with a great pool.

It had everything one would need and more. Yes, it is small, but that is what makes it so unique. We never felt stifled even with the rain and clouds most of our stay keeping us inside. The big screened in porch was a perfect place to relax and we did enjoy the pool when the weather cooperated. The property was clean and well maintained. It’s in a perfect location and super quiet with hardly any traffic. The management company was superb and super helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities. We absolutely will rent again if ever on Tybee and recommend it to anyone with a small family!

Bead Cottage

We had the greatest time at the Bead Cottage! The check in and out process was extremely easy, the neighborhood and proximity to the beach was great (we used the 9th street beach access boardwalk), and you can’t beat the private pool and screen porch! The neighborhood is so quiet and calm and it was the perfect spot to relax. The cottage is so centrally located that it was so easy to pop over to Savannah and drive over to North or South beach. We had the best stay and we hope to return soon!

Too chilly to use the pool but we did enjoy the sun sitting by it. Loved the screen porch for reading time! We walked everywhere on Tybee since you have to pay for parking all over the island. We rented bikes one day to explore as well.

3rd Year at Bead - Feels like coming home

Everyone from the reservationist to the manager was Outstanding and worked quickly with me on short notice to allow me to rent this home again. Cottage was very clean, as always, with some great upgrades - outdoor shower redone. We live in our swimsuits the entire time, either in the pool or on the porch. Even in 90+ degree weather. Will be back!

However, we rented this house because it had a pool which makes the house command a premium price. However, they said that we could not have the pool heated because the heater was broken. There was cool weather and the pool was freezing! After several calls, the company called a repairman. The pool never heated up adequately until the morning we had to leave. We never got to swim in the pool we paid extra for! My grandson was very disappointed. :(

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at lovely little Bead Cottage several times. The pool, large screened-in porch and Jane Coslick- designed interior rehab makes it a sweet destination for a couple or a smaller family. But just a few small considerations by the owner/manager would go a long way towards ensuring complete guest satisfaction. Given the pool, as well as routine showering, more than the 5 provided towels for four guests would be appreciated (we called for and received extras). With beach proximity, even a couple of in-house beach towels and chairs would be appreciated by guests flying in, who instead have to buy or rent these small extras in addition to air fare, car rental, bike and cottage rental expenses. Finally, more than the minimal number of cups and glasses would be appreciated, particularly larger coffee mugs and taller drinking glasses. All of these minor irritations could be easily and inexpensively remedied, resulting a perfect guest experience! Thank you for accepting this minor constructive criticism within the larger picture of a wonderful experience provided in this lovely cottage!
