The property is in a vibrant area of Cassis. There are many things to do and see right out the frond door - shopping, dinning, hiking and the beach is a 5min walk. We didn’t find it to be too noisy even though we were right above a restaurant. Cassis is charming fishing village. The air conditioning in the loft worked well and we needed it! There are a few reasons I gave the property 3 stars. The property is small, the shower is not very private, (but works great!) the toilet is in a separate room and the door handle was broken so we couldn’t shut the door. There was a small fridge in the closet but it wasn’t working. The parking is offsite and there is a fee. There was never working WiFi in the apartment Overall we did love the location and the view is a beautiful.

Location is wonderful and was a perfect place for our 3 night stay in Cassis. Sitting on the terrace watching the harbor activity was wonderful. So close to everything. If you are someone who goes to bed early, the noise may be an issue as it usually doesn’t subside until 10pm. Great communication by host. Parking can be an issue. The place is as described.

LOCATION LOCATOIN LOCATION. This small perfectly situated unit is right in the heart of Cassis overlooking the marina and all the action. We spent much of our time , when in the unit, sitting on the sweet little balcony with a bottle of wine watching the world go by. There are endless restaurants steps away. The only negatives - Cassis has very limited parking and the closest you can get is several blocks away that you pay for above the nightly rate of the unit. Also, getting your luggage to the unit is a bit of a haul. The unit also could have been a bit cleaner, particularly the floors. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful updated apartment in a great location. The biggest down side was the check in process could have been made easier. There were no instructions of how to find the place, where exactly to go, options for parking etc. we had to ask all the questions or figure it out on our own instead of a pre done generic text all renters get on check in day from the host with helpful tips to have a smooth check in. Once we were there though it was great, staff were great.

As so many reviewers mentioned before - you can’t beat the view from the little balcony - but this is the only real positive. The place is little more than a hotel room (poorly equipped - no table and chairs except on the balcony, over a noisy restaurant). Accessing the place is cumbersome: you have to park in a parking garage a 5 minute walk over cobblestones (additional Euro 25 per night) and have to retrieve the key to the apartment from the owner in person. I should have read more carefully the reviews before I booked it. Not good value for money.

Perfect location!

We loved our view of the harbor, right over an upscale restaurant. Cassis is pricey and the calanques were closed to hikers the day we were here, but we were happy to have our coffee and snacks on the balcony then take a boat ride from across the harbor. The only downside is that, though they have added a frosted sliding door to the bathroom, the shower door is still clear, so no one could use the toilet or sink while someone else was in the shower. The frosted sliding door is also not completely frosted, only from the chin to the knees. So our teen did not feel comfortable showering with anyone else in the apartment.

Wow!

One of our favorite stops on a three week trip through France/Spain. This apartment had an unbeatable view of the port. Host was very accommodating and helped us schedule a wine tasting when we arrived.

Aussergewöhnliche Lage allein genügt nicht

Die Unterkunft wird als Appartement vermietet, ist aber von der Ausstattung nach ein Hotelzimmer (Safe, Maschine zum Aufbrühen von Kaffee, Fernseher). Es fehlen Kochgelegenheit, Spülbecken, Geschirr (kann man im Restaurant darunter holen (gleiche Eigentümerin) , Sitzgelegenheiten und ein Tisch in der Unterkunft; es gibt nur zwei Stühle und einen kleinen Tisch auf dem Balkon.Aussicht und Lage der Unterkunft ist allerdings vom Feinsten.Parkmöglichkeiten mit einer Parkkarte durch die Vermieterin gibt es in einem Parkhaus ca 400 m entfernt, aber es gibt keine Möglichkeiten zum Halten vor der Unterkunft um das Gepäck aus- bzw einzuladen. Um an die Parkkarte zu kommen, mussten wir zunächst 1,5 km entfernt parken, da Cassis Parkplatzmäßig ein Chaos ist.

Nice little flat in the heart of Cassis.

No frills flat in the heart of Cassis. The balcony and view is well worth it. Stunning views of the port and the host was very attentive. Parking was a headache and we were quite far from the flat and up some steep hills also the check out time is early, i believe 10am and check in is 3pm or 4pm. I probably wouldnt stay again but it was nice to try once.

The property was exactly as expected and great for us. The check in and communication leading up to the rental was clear and helpful. Our host, Marine, was very nice. It was a pleasure staying in this rental overlooking the Cassis port

Fabulous location and hospitality

We loved our stay here! The location cannot be beat and the view of the harbor is wonderful. We will absolutely return and do not worry at all about what some people said about the bathroom because there is a privacy door now and it is just fine. Having a balcony in Cassis harbor is RARE and worth it! And the parking garage was only a 5 mins walk from the apartment. We would have loved a box of tissues, but that was it. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much, Marine et co!

Perfect location

This property is on the harbor with easy access to restaurants, shopping and groceries. We loved the balcony with 2 chairs and a small table overlooking the harbor. The room was comfortable and plenty of room for two people.

Short on amenities

Room has a great location, however, we found room was missing simple amenities like coffee cups; we had 2 water glasses for 4 people. Variety of teas, sugars, no coffee, wine bottle opener, but as stated no coffee cups or wine glasses anyway! Bathroom sink leaked water onto clean towels the first night, ergo 2 of 4 towels were wet the next morning!! We found lack of privacy in shower area was inconvenient! Did love view from little balcony, but closing door from outside was near impossible with no knobs; this was an issue because area was chilly in early January and cold air came into room if you were on balcony!!! For the 3 days we spent at this location we had no WiFi, owner/manager compensated us with cost of parking which was ok!! Hair dryer was iffy. Beds ok, but pillows were awful upstairs. All in all Cassis is charming, lovely restaurants and quaint shops!!

Great apartment in Cassis

Our family of 4 stayed for one night and had a great experience. Location is great. 20-25 minute walk to the calanque trailhead. Would happily stay again if we return to Cassis.

Very nice place

Very nice place with a fabulous view. Be sure to check with the property owner (or manager) regarding parking availability BEFORE booking. ONLY the FRENCH language site for VRBO contains the information about the link needed to pay extra for parking. Just because it says "parking available" doesn't necessarily mean it UNLESS you paid and arranged for it ahead of time. VRBO IS USELESS TO HELP YOU OTHERWISE.
