Spacious Family Getaway with Pontoon

Please note, during the summer months we are accepting only reservations Sunday to Sunday. Beginning September and through the month of May we welcome anyone staying a minimum of 3 nights. Come enjoy our spacious, charming lodge on serene Lake Nancy! This 5300 sqft cabin has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms ideal for family reunions, couples' getaways, and fishing trips. Neighboring city of Hayward hosts the Lumberjack World Championships and American Birkebeiner; Spooner hosts a rodeo and the Washburn County fair. Nearby cities, fishing hall of fame, aquatic center, casino, golf courses, and trails for skiing, mountain biking, ATVs, and snowmobiles make this the perfect place for anyone to enjoy a week-long getaway.

Well stocked huge executive home(s). All the extras from cooking, furnishing, games to toys. Nothing missing from our stay. Great communication with host. Only wish is that we would prefer not to see a camera when renting.

A great place to stay! We had 9 adults and there was so much room for all of us. The kitchen is excellent with all you need to make the meals. The host was responsive and helpful. We will be back next year!

Loved staying here. This was our second trip here and it did not disappoint. Lots of space for a large family, lots of time out on a beautiful and quiet lake, and lots of fishing. Made for a wonderful week. We hope to be back again.

This well-maintained property is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully offered everything we needed. Our family of nine adults and six children enjoyed swimming (including jumping off the dock), fishing, pontoon rides, s'mores around the fire pit, lawn games, kayaking, and stargazing during the meteor shower. The kids had their own wing of the house which was enjoyed by both kids and adults. The owners are very responsive.

Excellent property for large family vacation

Everything was amazing. Checkin was seemless. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of room for everyone. The lake is amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Yearly family lake life vacation

It was our first stay here at this AMAZING lodge. I’m pretty sure all our jaws dropped when we walked in. The place was beautiful, had everything we could ask for, and more than enough room for people to have their own space for quiet time. With four couples, it was nice to each have our own private bathroom. And a nice sandy beach area for our young granddaughter was a huge bonus. The dock allowed for 2 of our boats to be easily tied up to. And plenty of parking in the driveway for our 5 vehicles (2 with trailers). With a group of nine it was really nice to have a second kitchen area (which we didn’t really use)but the second refrigerator really, really came in handy. The owner was just a text away for any questions and wanted to make sure our stay was a great one. Highly recommend this beautiful property!

This was our second time staying at the Legend Lodge and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the addition of the jump pad and second dock. The whole house was clean, comfortable and spacious. We really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and made many delicious meals with the quality pots/pans and kitchen appliances. Kristine was great with communication and we loved the gifts of the outdoor blanket and roasting sticks. We've stayed at many vacation rentals before and can't say that we have received any gifts from other hosts/owners before. Thanks for going above and beyond and for sharing your beautiful lake home.

We Love Legends Lodge

This was our third time staying at this property. It’s a beautiful home in a gorgeous location. The owners are so easy to communicate with & go the extra mile for their renters. The house is always clean & welcoming. She even included small gifts at check in. I highly recommend renting their pontoon boat as our favorite sand bar swimming spot is father out on the lake. Fishing is great & we loved watching the bald eagles. If you have a large group, I cannot recommend this property enough. We look forward to returning!

Family time at Legends Lodge

A spacious, family friendly vacation home. There is plenty of room to enjoy activities, both in and outdoor. We enjoyed pontoon rides, playing at the beach and sandbar, shuffleboard, fishing, board and card games, watching the littles play, and quiet time reading a book. Looking forward to next year!

MEA weekend getaway

Legends Lodge was a beautiful, clean, spacious cabin! It was a perfect place to celebrate a long, fall weekend with friends. The property was equipped with all of the appliances and tools we needed to prepare large meals and to serve all of our guests.

Great spot for families!

Kristine made our special trip so memorable. She was beyond helpful and accommodating. The home is beautiful and has plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. Everything in the home is quality and beautiful. We can't wait to visit again one day!

A slice of heaven!

10 of us had a fantastic time staying here. Very clean and comfortable with some many spaces inside and out to experience. We took the pontoon out a couple of times and really enjoyed it. We are planning on coming back next year!

Perfect for large reunions

Our group of friends had an amazing time at this property! It’s basically 2 connecting houses, more than enough beds/bedrooms with different layouts/variety to accommodate everyone. We enjoyed the shuffleboard the most and loved all the seating offered outdoors. The property was very clean and organized (it is a very large property, so it took a while to familiarize ourselves) A great, quiet getaway on the water!

Amazing week with the family!

We spent a week at Legends Lodge with our extended family & had an absolutely wonderful time! We had 10 adults and 7 children and the cabin felt nice and spacious with everyone having private space. The cabin was clean, well decorated and stocked, & very comfortable. We could not get enough of the lake, shuffle board, & outdoor space. Kristine was also very responsive & helpful. We have been renting cabins every summer for the past 9 years and this was by far our favorite! We hope to come back soon!

North Woods Lake

This lovely home is located on a quiet lake. We listened to loons, and eagles frequently flew overhead. The house is spacious, providing both large gathering areas and smaller nooks for reading/cards, etc.. Everything we needed was provided.

Awesome family vacation go-to

Highly recommend this location for family gatherings! We stayed here last year, returned this year, and signed up for next year! Kristine is a great host, responding quickly to any questions we had. The home and lake are beautiful. The home has great gathering spaces for family meals and games. Having two well stocked kitchens allowed us so much flexibility in meal prep. The lake has great fishing, enough for a huge fish fry Friday night. We enjoyed playing water games at the sand bar, and relaxing, sunset pontoon rides each night. The littles loved the sandy beach and shallow shoreline. The outdoor shower with warm water made nighttime clean up an easy, fun transition. Used the Blackstone every day. Another year of great family memories. A big thank you to the Delfs!

Great Summer Family Vacation Home!

Agree with all the past reviews. Kristine was a pleasure to work with and always prompt on answering any questions we had. The home has everything you need to enjoy your stay. We did use the Blackstone grill a lot and had everything we needed in the 2 kitchens for the week. The nice thing about Legends Lodge is that you don’t need to leave the property. Between the pontoon boat, shuffleboard, camp fires at night and the fishing, we (all ages) had a blast every singe day. Loved just sitting on the deck and watching all the wild life go by. Can’t recommend this Lake house enough for family get togethers. You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Multi-Family Vacation Home

This home and lake property is amazing and absolutely gorgeous. Our extended family of twenty, ranging in age from 6 months to 70 years old, spent the past week here and couldn't have asked for anything nicer. Communication with Kristine and CL, the owners, was wonderful - efficient and friendly. The home is beautifully furnished, so roomy and well laid-out, with plenty of space for various ages to enjoy time together (and sometimes needed time apart - especially with napping babies). The home is spotlessly clean, and so well-stocked and organized - especially the kitchens. Appliances and cooking utensils were above and beyond anything we've ever encountered ... better than home in some respects. We made great use of the 2nd kitchen for beverages and overflow fridge/freezer items - always tricky when we're bringing food for a full week. The outdoor grills, especially the Blackstone, were a huge hit with the grillers in the family. The drinking water is delicious - so nice to not have to bring in bottled water. The gazebo is an added bonus - great little spot to tuck away into for some quiet reading or playing games. The younger kids enjoyed fishing right off the dock; plus multiple pontoon fishing outings to a sweet spot they found on the lake. The kayaks and paddle boat were big hits; and the nice shallow lakeshore was great for the very little ones to play in. S'mores around the campfire & 4th of July fireworks on the lake topped off the week. Highly recommend!

Our family purchased this property in May of 2021. We are working hard to thoughtfully renovate this gorgeous lodge style home. Including the entire family in our weekend getaways to the lake is important to us. Each member enjoys something different from hiking to fishing and even learning how to play shuffleboard.
