Big Twin Lake

If you are looking for a quiet large family group this is the spot! Plenty of large gathering areas but also enough space to get some quiet time for everyone. Talk about a great view to start and end your day WOW just gorgeous!! Talk about a crystal clear lake very nice!

Great stay

We really had a great experience. The house was very nice and had everything we needed. Great location on a beautiful lake. The host Glenn was very accommodating and helped with all of our questions and concerns.

Family Summer Vacation

Our family all really liked the house as it was perfect inside and outside with the large deck with plenty of seating for eating or relaxing, with plenty of shade. The large dock was very nice also for docking our large pontoon boat and swimming off of. We did lots of skiing, tubing, and a little fishing in the beautiful lake which is a nice size. We also joined in the 4 of July boat parade on the lake and had a lot of fun! Another great family vacation at an amazing lake house up north. Thanks again to Glenn and his family.

Stay at Big Twin Lake

Very pleased with the property. House had all desired amenities, great location, and comfortable for a large group. Communicating with the property owner was easy and he was responsive. As another mentioned, the beach area was different than pictured, but there was still a good area for young kids to access water and play.

This was an amazing and unique place - perfect for a larger family gathering. There was plenty of space for gathering. We ate dinner on the large outdoor patio almost every night. The large dining room allowed for board games until late in the evening. The lodge is big enough for everyone to have their own bedroom, and there is a small hang out area in the lower level if quiet time was needed. I asked Glenn if we needed to bring beach towels, he responded that all we needed was our own food - and he was right. The lodge is well stocked with everything needed. We hated to leave. We enjoyed meeting Holly who stopped in to water the beautiful flowers and make sure we were settled in okay and had everything we needed. This is a great place and highly recommended.

Family Vacation

Glenn and Carol completely outdid themselves with this house. It is absolutely gorgeous and they are just as accommodating. We had plenty of room for five little ones and six adults. The house was immaculate when we arrived and has the most stunning view. Glenn's recommendation from a local boat renter in town added to our stay. Not far from Traverse City, with a day trip to Petosky and Harbor Springs was also a bonus. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Great family vacation

Absolutely gorgeous views! House was very comfortable, we had 12 adults and 2 babies under 6 months. Baby families were in the basement and no one could hear us downstairs. Lower level rooms didn’t feel like basement. Another super nice thing was the towels and linens didn’t feel super cheap and overused. We might go back in winter!

Highly recommend

Overall a beautiful place to stay. Glenn the owner of the place was great to work with and very easy going. Only one item, the photo of the house from the water showed a sandy beach. The beach is no longer there due to the lake level, but access to shallow water is very easy for little ones from the docks.

Family reunion in July

We loved the lake, the dock and the deck - we made awesome memories with three generations. We rented kayaks to enjoy the whole lake. Ample life jackets were available at the house. Some of us were spooked by the many animal heads mounted inside, but we had a good amount of space. Downstairs could benefit from a dehumidifier. Cherry season is the best!

Greatly enjoyed our stay.

The Polo Lodge exceeded our expectations. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The extended table on the deck and the comfy living room worked very well for our family. It is an amazing clean, clear lake that my family enjoyed immensely.

Outdoor Lakeside Fun

Our family gets together every 2 years for our reunion and spend a week together at a lake house that holds us all. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate 6 couples and their children. We loved being outside on the dock enjoying the lake. We fished but didn't catch anything legally big enough to keep. The lake was perfect for water sports, it was like glass in the morning and really never got choppy. In the house the two large tables (one on the deck and one in the dining room) accommodated everyone. The kitchen was a little smaller than we were use to but we made it work. The house offered a lot to look at with its hunting theme and darker décor. We ladies would of like to have had more of a beach décor, this is decorated to appeal more to the outdoors man. All in all we had a fantastic time together and are very appreciative for our stay at the Polo Lodge!

Talk about Heaven on earth! My family has been renting vacation homes for about 20 years and we've never had such a perfect experience as with this house. The owner is the most pleasant, ethical owner we've ever dealth with!

FRIENDS ANNUAL WEEKEND AT POLO LODGE

Polo Lodge is a beautiful place to spend time with friends. Georgous view looking out on lake, and the lodge had more than enough room for our group of 14. Even though it did rain some, we still enjoyed staying inside visiting, watching movies . We will definitely go back to the lodge. Beautiful furnishings, and well equipped kitchen. And very homey. Set back off road in woodsy setting, but within driving distance of outside activities. Loved it there....

GREAT PLACE !!!

What a great get away ! We had 16 golfers stay at Glen's place and really enjoyed it. The grounds and cabin were beautiful, the large table on the patio made for a great location for a relaxing conversation. The dock down on the lake also accomodates several people and is a relaxing place to hang out. I would recommend it to anyone, upon arrival Glen also called to confirm everything was OK ad to see if we needed anything. Just a little jealous it's not my place, Thanks Glen Dave

Girls Weekend

This was our second stay at this property and is by far one of our favorites. So so cozy and comfortable. Great Fireplace, bedrooms, deck and beach. Had 17 women who enjoyed each others friendships, played cards, watched movies, took walks around lake, golfed, read and laughed alot. Had all our meals at home with everything you need provided. Awesome place!!!!!!!!!!

WOW and WOW again is all you say about the Polo Lodge. We just got back from a week there and it is just beautiful, inside and out. We had our Family Reunion there and my family couldn't stop talking about the place all week long...they LOVED it! We took some amazing family pictures on the lawn by all the gorgeous flowers. Enjoyed the herb garden & cucumbers on the beach. The owner could not be accommodating & nice. If I can get the family together again in Michigan we would certainly rent the Polo Lodge again.

Ive stayed at the polo lodge on two seperate occasions, summer & winter seasons. I will affirm that its absolutely beautiful and plenty of room. We had about 14 women in their 30's and everyone would agree they had the time of their life.
