6 week stay. Great Location

Pros: Location is fabulous. Anywhere you want to be, just minutes away. Cute, quiet, great vegetable garden which landlord shared produce with us. Great Wi-Fi was an extra bonus. Cons: Carpet needs cleaning. Cutlery needs an upgrade. As a basement apartment it has low ceilings. Low bed and toilet. Overall, we enjoyed it and would rent again based on the price.

Good value

The apartment is a good value for the price. Owner good communicator. Nothing fancy and very small bathroom but the bed was comfortable and plenty of room. It was very close to places we needed to go.

Christmas Home Base

We stayed in this basic studio basement apartment while celebrating with family. Kitchen well stocked but no dishwasher and small stove. Front room couch area comfortable but no instructions left on TV use. “Bedroom” is next to front room and there is no door between them. Bed was a little small but comfortable. Large walk-in closet. Bathroom small with small shower but sufficient for our needs. Communication with the landlord was good as he just lives upstairs. We did appreciate his allowing us a late checkout the final day.

Cancelled Same Day in Violation of the American's with Disabilities Act!

Blake cancelled my stay after I traveled 8 hours and my other party flew in from Phoenix to spend the weekend together simply because I have a task trained service dog (german shepard/aussie shepard mix). He blamed me for not announcing it before booking since he has a "no pet" policy. He violated federal policy and although we got a refund, we did not get rebooked accommodations for the duration of our stay, leaving us to pay an extra several hundred dollars for a hotel room for five people (3 adults and 2 kids). Worst travel experience of my life.

perfect for us

My 3 teen / adult kids & I stayed here 3 nights. Blake's communication was great, the location was perfect for us, the place was very clean & had everything we could've needed, including laundry facilities, the decor was fun / interesting. The place was exactly as described, but the photos in the listing did not do justice to how sweet it is. I hope to be in SLC again & would love to stay here whenever we are.

Value for money

Comfortable and spacious for two but became a little crowded when 3 family members joined us half way through our stay. Although advertised as sleeping 5, the alternate three were on a chase, the couch and a blow up bed, but still value compared to paying for two rooms in a hotel. Quiet neighbourhood, and a friendly and generous host. Not in the city centre but close enough to freeways to be convenient to all we wanted to do.

Excellent host and stay

We really enjoyed our time at Blake's vacation rental. It was a quiet neighborhood that was central to most places with an Uber. Most anything you want is walkable as well, up to 30 min. Blake is easy to reach, and his rental has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The water pressure is great and it is clean in the unit. Amenities are all there and if you need something Blake is happy to oblige. Blake even shared produce from his garden! Thanks for a wonderful stay Blake.

Very clean and quiet, great neighborhood

This is a perfect place for a weekend getaway or an extended stay. I stayed for 6 weeks, had everything I needed and felt very welcome. This was a home away from home experience for me. Highly recommend this apartment. Thanks.

Cozy place and well maintained!

This is a great property centrally located in the city. Very close to the freeway and easy access to all the SLC ski areas. The apartment is well maintained and appointed—just the like the photos. Blake is very responsive and quick to communicate. I highly recommend both the property and the landlord!

Blake is a great host!

I had been looking for a reasonable place to stay for a week of skiing. This basement apartment is conveniently located to downtown yet only a half hour drive to my favorite ski areas. It has a very comfortable queen bed in the bedroom and a very comfortable couch where I watched premium movies on a smart TV. This is exactly what I was looking for. Very quiet and comfortable.

Perfect place and host for our ski getaway

The host was immediately accessible, incredibly accommodating, and made us feel like guests rather than customers. This basement apartment was the perfect fit and function for our boys' skiing getaway.

Great place to stay

This was the perfect place at the perfect price for my family. Located in a great spot. There was just enough privacy to separate the master from the couch/bed living room. Little details make the difference. Blake is kind and easy to reach, there are power strips placed where you need, and closet/drawer space is ample. Ceilings are about frame height, so keep that in mind if you duck through doorways. Not a problem for us and hubby is 6ft.
