This place was excellent with private beach access, beautiful views. Great off road parking. Clean. Provided a drip coffee machine when requested. Beds very comfortable, nice kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Great to have laundry on site. Would have been nice to have beach chairs available and not have to rent them. We did run out of hot water even with 6 adults staggering showers.

Southern Paws is a fantastic location removed from the hustle and bustle of the Pier area. Our dog was vary happy at this end of the beach - and walks and water were endless!! We were very pleased and would stay here again. Having the gift certificate to rent bikes and beach chairs was a bonus!! We would not have ridden on the beach if that was not included. Very nice to pedal to the lighthouse! Great spot to enjoy.

The location is amazing! The rooms are not super spacious but are adequate. Pack everything you need as the property has very limited accoutrements. You get one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper, and a couple of trash bags. Other than that, you’ll need to buy everything.

Dog friendly beachfront

The house was beautifully clean and had a wonderful view and private beach access from the house. The dog and my husband we're in heaven.

Location was perfect! Nothing like waking up and falling asleep to the sound of waves! Close to restaurants too.

Really nice place. Great location. Clean, quiet and homey. Very comfortable beds! Loved the direct beach access. Deck furniture was a lil worn but that happens with salt air…and we just used our beach chairs so it all worked out. View of the sunrise in the morning and the stars at night were amazing! Definitely planning a return visit.

Great Getaway

Located steps from the beach, you cannot ask for a better location with all the comforts of home. Bothe preserves on the island offer some variety in wildlife and many opportunities for strolling along the coast.

Wonderful Dog Friendly Stay

This was a perfect spot for my husband and I to take our dogs for the week to Folly Beach. We really enjoyed being beachfront and loved spending time on the back screened in patio. Looking forward to returning next year!

The beach view is obstructed to the sides because of houses that are closer to the beach. But there’s still a good view of the ocean! House was clean.

The pictures were somewhat misleading. The area and location of the house was great. The decorations were very nice and charming. The laid back feel and steps from the sand were outstanding. However, the pictures need to be updated or some work needs to be done to a few areas. There was obvious structure issues with the house and back porch area. The floors obviously leaned to one side. The back porch had very bad structural issues and severe warping and uneven surfaces. The sliding door from the house to back porch was very difficult to open and probably impossible for older or small guests or kids, and was probably due to the structure issue. There was mold on the French doors going outside in one of the bedrooms and on the sliding door track. Numerous areas with missing or cracked paint and grim on the back porch, most likely from the wind and spray from the ocean. Another unsettling issue was for a 500 plus rental per night the 3 1/2 rolls of "toilet paper" were best described as a cross between newspaper and sandpaper. I think a few extra dollars can be spent to purchase the soft toilet paper of such a high end rental. I know the description of the house outlined that only the bare basics would be provided (4 rolls TP, 2 paper towels rolls, small shower kit, towels, etc.), but a little extra TLC and warm touch such as a few bottles of water, maybe coffee, perhaps small snack packs would go a long way in welcoming charm.

Couldn’t get oven to work. Hole under counter in one bathroom letting cold air in. Faucet in bathroom sink was full of mold.

Thank you for the review. We wish we had heard from you during your stay, as we are always available to help our guests—whether it’s a quick tutorial on the oven or a maintenance check. We have since addressed the faucet; while no mold was present, we have thoroughly cleared the minor mildew that was found. We can also confirm that the bathroom is fully sealed against cold air. Our goal is always a 5-star experience. Thanks for staying with us!

Folly Beach first time

The location was great, the house was very nice. Only weird thing, NO hangers anywhere. Kind of hard to use the closets.

House rental

I loved this property!! The ocean view was amazing and very relaxing! The stove didn’t work so I had to reset the breaker but other than that everything was perfect! I highly recommend this property! The beds were comfy and everything was very clean. Thanks for a great visit! Amy

Summer trip

Summer trip- my family and I had a wonderful time at Folly Beach beach. The house was the perfect size for me and my family. We also brought the dog along. The house is set on a beautiful location on the beach. Amazing views and steps from the beach. We look forward to going back.

Great locaction

House has great views & access to beach. We had an issue with the air conditioner not working & someone came out same day to fix it. It worked for 1 day & then house went back to 81. Folly beach is a fun place to visit and Charleston is close by with great restaurants and and shops

Relaxing and great views

House was clean and cheerful. We were there with our labradoodle. It was perfect for our needs. Had a slight issue with oven. Property manager resolved it quickly.

Great bungalow for a family vacay

We very much enjoyed our stay at this cute oceanfront bungalow! It was just the right amount of space for us, our 2 daughters and their 2 friends. The home came well equipped. The beds may be the most comfortable beds we’ve experienced at a VRBO. The beach is actually closer than the pictures even look. It was great because we could easily keep an eye on the girls on the beach even when we were inside prepping lunch. Management was extremely responsive when we had questions and super friendly. We will definitely be back and we will definitely look to rent from Carolina One again!

A Perfect Thanksgiving

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely stunning beachfront rental! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful beachfront rental and I cannot say enough about how amazing it was. The location is simply unbeatable - just steps away from the pristine white sandy beach and ocean waters. The rental itself was impeccably clean, well decorated, and had all the amenities one could possibly need for a perfect vacation. Waking up to the sound of the waves crashing and enjoying breakfast on the screened porch overlooking the ocean was a dream come true. The property managers were incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring that my stay was nothing short of fantastic. I cannot wait to return to this little slice of paradise and would highly recommend this beachfront rental to anyone looking for an unforgettable beach getaway.

Cute beach cottage. Great location.

This cottage was super cute and a fabulous beachfront location. We did have a few fixable problems. The water in the shower would jump from ice cold to really hot. The TV in the living room had bad reception and while surfaces were clean, the insides of cupboards were not, nor were the closets. All pretty easy fixes for an otherwise charming house.
