Six Bedroom Lakefront Home on Houghton Lake

Beautiful remodeled 2200sq ft Lakefront home on the East Bay of Houghton Lake with amazing sunsets.
The house resides in a quiet neighborhood with 50' of private lakefront and dock. Beautiful large back yard with plenty of space that includes picnic tables, horseshoe pit, fire pit, and grill.
Home has a cabin feel with knotty pine walls and ceilings and rustic décor. Six bedrooms (King, Queen, Full, Full/Futon, Double bunk, 4 bunk room) and 2 full bathrooms. Kitchen has stainless steel appliances, rustic cabinets and granite countertops. Living room with a stone gas fireplace that leads into a 22 x 22 entertainment room that overlooks the lake.
Dock for a boat or play in the shallow sandy bottom water lake.

Thus wonderful residence is a fantastic size and layout for multiple families or large group of friends escaping to Michigan's amazing up-north.

Our home is located less than 15 mins from all Houghton Lakes hot spots. Just down the street you can rent anything from pontoons, jet skis to snowmobiles, ATV's and ice fishing shanty's.

Great place on Houghton Lake

Great place to stay on Houghton Lake. The house is very spacious with a great view of the lake from the living room. Very cozy and clean, we would definitely stay again.

Great family vacation property

Plenty of space for large group, shallow lake that was great for swimming, included fun extras such as a paddleboard, large raft, and kayak. Had everything we needed.

Awesome Winter Getaway

This was our 1st time staying at this cottage, and it exceeded our expectations! It is very clean, cozy, comfortable and spacious. Great location! Great amenities! The price is reasonable and the owner is great to work with. We're looking forward to staying here for many years to come!

Family Vacation

We had a great time at the lake house! The house was nice and big for 9 adults and 2 toddlers. We were able to put our pontoon boat in at the boat launch and keep it docked at the house all week. I would recommend this lake house to any large family or group......Thanks Jennifer Look forward to next year

House was very nice, right on the lake. Everybody in the party caught fish. (main reason for the trip) Jennifer responded quickly to all texts/messages. Lots to do in and around the house when we were not fishing. AAAAA+++++

Tip-Up Town

Five friends had myself stayed for Tip-Up Town ice carnival. We have stayed at this property several times before and it is always very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay once again.

Awesome winter getaway!

We booked this property for a group of friends/family in January and it was perfect - cozy with lots of space. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - kitchen supplies, games, a speaker... you name it. We of course did not spend as much time outside, but the property was beautiful as well.

Great stay - property as described

The lakeside yard is spacious and nicely treed. View is great. Inside the house is as shown in pictures. There are actually 6 "bedrooms", two of which are very small, but perfect for kids. Two rooms with bunk beds - kids loved them. The property manager was very responsive.

Pleasant though some challenges.

This was a great setting for our family and friends as we were at Houghton Lake for an interment at a local cemetery. The cottage is spacious and had the bed space we needed. One drawback the multiple changes in flooring and floor heights between rooms and sections of the home which presented a challenge and limitation for some of our older family members.

A great place for memories!

For the most part it was a great rental house. A few positives: - The property had enough space for everyone in our group. Ample seating everywhere. - A nice gift was left to welcome us. - Use of kayak and paddle board was nice. - there are board games available. - there is a small charcoal grill as well as a propane grill to use. A few negatives: - did not realize when reserving there is no AC. Our first day it was really hot. There are several fans throughout the house which helps but it doesnt get cool on a hot day. - The ladder on the dock is difficult to use. - The mattress on the king bed has dips in it and does squeak. A little uncomfortable but useable. - There are limited outlets for charging phones. Bring outlet strips to utilize. - there are no flat knives only serrated knives.

Spacious but chilly

This house is very spacious and accommodating to at least 14 people comfortably. We were there for 5 days and and it was a battle to get the whole place warm. The main area was comfortable but as soon as you step into the great room facing the lake there was at least a 15-20 degree temperature drop. The fireplace was nice but couldn’t run it because it’s directly across from the thermostat and shut down what little heat the rest of the house had. Also the phone numbers for the owners didn’t have voicemail and the housekeeper is disconnected. We enjoyed our family time but won’t visit this property again.

Great lake house

We rented this house for 2 families for a birthday celebration. It was wonderful! Both the adults and kids had a great time! Plenty of space for everyone and the lake views were beautiful!
