This condo is kept in a relaxed yet comfortable style, nothing too fussy, the emphasis being on enjoying the warm West Maui breezes and open windows!

Sleep to the sound of the ocean waves! We are mere steps to the ocean shoreline and the nightly spectacular sunsets! It has a lovely large lanai with a table and chairs for al fresco dining, and a great view of the mature tropical gardens!

The Living area is clean and open with plenty of comfortable seating, indoor dining, and a kitchen that boasts everything you need to cook almost anything!

This condo has a hybrid memory foam/cool gel king size bed and a step-in shower.

We love having families! We keep a PakNPlay with extra bedding and high chair as well as child proof kitchen cabinets. Please let us know if you want to reserve the high chair.

*We have a check in time of 5pm and a check out time of 11am, unless prior arrangements have been made.We take your safety and well-being seriously. We have a comprehensive cleaning and sanitizing program for this property. Our cleaning service and on-site staff are making sure we spend as much time as necessary making sure that all areas of your rental are thoroughly cleaned before you check in.
We ask you to plan ahead as we may not be able to allow early check ins and late check outs as often as we would like.

*This unit does have AC that is more than adequate to cool the space, and is located in the living room. There are both ceiling fans and floor fans in the living room and bedroom. Please note that as Maui has some of the most expensive electric in the US, we keep it on a timer to mitigate costs.

*Hawaii has a tropical climate. Insects, lizards & rodents thrive in this environment. We make every effort to minimize your contact with them inside & outside of the unit. Presence of these creatures does not constitute a breach of contract or offer the Guest any rights to refunds.

This small condo is a good economical option if you want to stay in this area. The property manager Heather was fantastic and all over every detail which made checking in and out seamless. The only issue I had was with the bed mattress, I saw other reviews about it being very soft which I figured wouldn’t be a big deal, but it was for me and after the second night my back was killing me. Luckily there was a blow up air mattress I setup in the living room which worked great!

The condo was clean but outdated. The Oceanview from the garden was a stretch. It should not have come up in the filters when I put in Oceanview. Heather was very accommodating and helpful. It was walking distance to the food trucks, which we highly recommend and to Papi, where you will find the best cinnamon roll!

Love this place!!!

We had a great time staying in B 307. Even though it was a studio, it felt much larger than that. This condo had the best views and your in walking distance to everything that you possibly need. Papakea is by far the nicest resort on the westside of Maui.

Maui - great place to be

This was our third trip to Maui and to this property. Not this unit specifically, but every time we're there we look forward to whale watching and sitting by the sea wall enjoying adult beverages. Maui is our home away from home.

Everythig was great. We love that condo pretty much. It's location is very convenient to us. Snorkling in 50 steps from the lanai. Nice owners, every time we are returning like to owr home. Big big thanks to Heather, Michael and property manager.

Comfortable Condo, Amazing Ocean View and Great Location!

Condo was comfortable and clean. It had everything you would need travelling with two children (10 and 12 years old). Being on the first floor, it made access to the lanai and condo easy (no stairs or elevators to deal with). The bathroom is newly renovated and clean. Beautiful view of the ocean - literally steps away to the seawall. Amazing sunsets. Great location - close to many beaches and walkable distance to lots of restaurants and services (ie. snorkle rentals etc.) ABC Store is just next door and Farmer's Market is just a short walk. Heather is a pleasure to deal with. Answered all our questions in a timely manner. Had clear check in and check out instructions. We would stay here again when we come back to Maui.

Maui Sands Seaside

Vrbo rather misrepresented property as Maui Sands rather than Maui Sands Seaside.The unit was clean, well equipped, dated cabinets. No washer/dryer. Bed was comfortable for small person, too soft for my husband. Very poor lighting at entry to insert key to open the door. The lanai was disappointing as it was looking out at a dirt patch, fence and back of another building. Probably because a huge cook pine shaded the area. Seaside viewing area small but nice Oceanside with chaises and chairs. No direct access to beach.

The owner was very communicative and very clear in their instructions. Finding the condo was a breeze and the property was so unbelievably nice I wanted to move in and retire there. Its literally a 1 minute walk to the beach, surrounded by reasonably priced food and shops, quiet and well kept. If I find myself coming back to Maui, this is where I'll be staying. Until then I'll have it in my dreams and memories!

Nice place

Heather was great. We enjoyed location except beaches were too rough for snorkeling for my husband, which made us sad. I got a little stressed about the sand which was almost impossible not to bring inside.

The bed is really nice, bathroom shower is nice remodeled.

Property was exactly as shown. There is no view of ocean but there is a 30 second walk to platform/chairs where one may very comfortably enjoy the view and beach. The unit had everything we needed and we very much enjoyed the stay. Easy and very easy/quick communication with manager/owner.

Quiet and relaxing

We had a wonderful stay and loved the relaxed feeling of the condo and property. Beautiful place to watch the evening sunsets and see turtles. The location is great and within easy walking distance to beaches, markets and restaurants. It had everything we needed.

This property was very dated, needs cleaning.

The bed is in poor shape, badly need a new mattress. Light fixtures did not have working bulbs. Needs cleaning and upgrading. Curtains, windows are dirty. Fans were black with grime. Clean bedding did not fit king bed. I was not impressed as I felt I paid good money for this type of accommodation. Yard lighting was non-existent no markings visible. No courtyard or pool.

Great location with lots to do!

We had a wonderful time in Maui, and this condo met our needs. Heather was quite responsive to our questions and requests too. We were able to see the whole island from our location, go snorkeling, and come home and cook awesome fish on the grill! We would recommend this place to anyone!

Great location with everything we needed. Very comfortable bed with nice breeze, did not even turn on the AC! Had all the furnishings necessary to make for a comfortable stay, but other than cooking meals and sleeping, we were not there much. Found the observation deck and BBQ a great place o hang out in the evening and meet some great people, who likewise like Maui Sands.

Wonderful location

It was our first visit to Maui and the first booking with VRBO. Maui is amazing and the booking worked very well. We had a wonderful stay at this condo and we would definitely recommend it. The location is absolutely perfect and the condo is well equipped. There were only two things why we can´t give five stars. The bed was too soft/saggy and the water jet was too low (it was really hard to get the shower gel out of my long hair).

Nice location. 30 or 40 steps to the beach. The exterior and interior are dated. Things in this area are very expensive, so this was a good value. The condo was clean and we'll stocked.

We are Irwin and Daphne Culver. We have been married for 43 years, and live and work in Apache Junction, AZ. Irwin is a licensed plumber and works as a maintenance technician, for Banner Health AZ, but his real calling is remodeling cars and looking after his Koi pond. Daphne rescues Yorkies for YTNR and Mill Dog Rescue.
Our property manager is Heather Buono, owner of Grace Vacation Rentals Maui and she has lived on island for 30+ years. She is a great resource for activities!

Maui Sands is a Peaceful and Friendly place with good neighbors. The proximity to the shoreline invites you to relax on the chaise lounges with a westward view across the channel to Lanai and Molokai, whale watching in the winter, or watch some of the most spectacular sunsets anywhere!
