Driftwood: Coastal Retreat Blocks from Beach

“Driftwood Home”-This home is located in the heart of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort area 2 BLOCKS FROM THE BEACH & next to the ATLANTIC WAVE PARK & DOME music venue! Sits on a quiet, residential street, but it is steps away from the lively boardwalk with shops, restaurants, & entertainment. It can sleep up to 8 guests, & the home's layout is perfect for both families traveling with children or friends on a getaway. The open-concept living/ dining area & kitchen are perfect for gathering.

This home is new construction with brand new furniture, appliances, and updated finishes. Bedroom #1 on the first floor contains 1 queen bed. Bathroom #1 on the first floor is a full bathroom with shower.

The main living quarters are on the 2nd floor, with a large kitchen, dining room, and living room that opens to a 2 decks. Bathroom #2 is on the 2nd floor and is a half-bath.

Bedroom #2 on the third floor contains a queen bed and a twin bed with trundle. Bedroom #3 is the master bedroom located on the 3rd floor and contains a queen
bed. Bathroom #3 is on the 3rd floor and is a full bath with shower, double vanity sinks, and a tub.

Some things to note:
GUEST ACCESS:
-- Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check out at 10:00 am. We love to host, so we have a high turnover rate, and our cleaners strictly adhere to this schedule to accommodate.
-- A door code will be sent to you a week before your arrival.

AMENITIES:
We provide fresh linens, towels, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels & trash can liners. *THINK OF THESE ITEMS AS “STARTER KITS” - Highly recommend you bring additional items such as coffee/cooking spray/water bottles etc*. Roku TVs are located in most bedrooms. Portable pack and play available upon request.

PARKING:
There is some private parking, and a detailed map will be sent upon booking. Additional details regarding public parking options will also be provided.

KITCHEN:
Fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and all the basic kitchen essentials; Pots/Pans/Plates/Cups/Utensils

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES:
We ask that you leave everything in the home as you found it, strip the linens from the beds, run the dishwasher, and take trash to the bins on the street. This will ensure the quality of the home for the next guest and expedite the cleaning.

REFUNDS:
Highly recommend trip insurance. We do not give refunds due to the weather.

Very clean and nicely appointed. All mechanical aspects are well maintained. Somewhat steep stairs if anyone has probably with stairs.

Great location and house layout. We enjoyed having a garage to keep our sandy beach things in. House had everything we needed. We would recommend it to friends. The traffic at night is a little loud so we did use sound machines but the closeness to the beach made up for that. Also if you are sensitive to light, bring a sleeping eye mask- rooms don’t have room darkening shades.

Convenient and comfortable

We had a nice three day, two night stay here. It was convenient to where we needed to go and comfortable for the 4 of us. The owners are easy to communicate with.

Lovely home in good location

We had an event at the convention center. The house was the perfect location for our event and also a quick walk to the beach, mini golf, and restaurants. We enjoyed trying all the coffee shops in the Vibe. The house was well stocked with towels, beach towels, nice linens, trash bags, toilet paper, etc. No issues with our stay and would book again.

Great location, new, fresh accommodations

We came to VA beach for a quick family get away. This place was perfect. It’s in a perfect location, right off the strip and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The house was clean, bright and very comfortable. It had everything we needed. Getting in and out was easy. The couple of questions we sent, the owners very quickly responded. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location

The house is in a perfect location! Easy 5 minute walk to the beach. We were here for a dance competition at the convention center which was also an easy 15 minute walk. House was clean and as advertised. The rockers on the front porch were nice to relax in. I would stay here again.

Clean house and great location!

The house was very clean, a/c worked well and was refreshing after being out in sun/heat all day. We were able to cook meals in the full kitchen, so we didn’t have to eat out all the time. But plenty of restaurants close by and easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed renting bikes and riding up to First Landing State park (gravel trails in the shade), in addition to plenty of relaxation on the beach.

Great Location and beautiful property.

The property was great for our couples getaway. The house was clean and provided the space we needed. The room on the first level did not have a TV but we were fine. Very close to grocery store and short walk to beach. We will definitely stay again.

Lovely property, very clean and comfortable. Close to food and fun!

Everything was exactly as promised. The property was very clean and in great condition. From front door to standing in the ocean is a leisurely 8-10 minute walk. We visitied a few other beaches during our stay (e.g., Sandbridge) but really preferred the waves and people watching at the Oceanfront beach (adjacent to this property). We also loved the Vibe District. There are many great "foodie quality" restaurants within walking distance (check out Commune for breakfast and Esoteric [next door] for dinner, two of our favorites). You could stay for a week and dine at a different place within walking distance for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Communication with the owners was very simple and efficient through the VRBO app. We greatly appreciated them helping to make our first visit to Virginia Beach a memorable experience!

Lovely accommodations, just needs some upgraded amenities

This was a lovely townhome situated in a great part of Virginia Beach, close to the beach and just on the border of the Vibe District. The property managers, Jade and Nathan, were fantastic to work with and addressed all of our needs before and during our stay. Although I gave our stay a deserved five star rating, I do think the accommodations are in need of some fairly basic upgraded amenities like nicer towels (the ones provided were paper thin ) and beach chairs that are appropriate for adults, rather than what they had available. The kitchen is also in need of some staple items we have come to expect in rental properties such as cooking spray or oil and the most basic spices like salt pepper, etc. Perhaps the owners are new to renting and don’t know that touches like this make the experience more “homey” and personal All in all, it was a truly lovely stay and Jade and Nathan helped to make it a fabulous week in Virginia Beach for our family!
