Whether you're chasing fresh powder, hiking through the pines, biking mountain trails, spending the day at the beach, or simply relaxing under Tahoe's famous blue skies, Thunderbird Cabin puts you close to it all. And when the day's adventures are over, come home to a crackling wood-burning fire, a private hot tub, and a fully fenced backyard where the kids and pups can play.

Your Tahoe Home Base



Thunderbird Cabin is conveniently located near Meyers, with easy access to Tahoe's year-round activities. You'll find great local restaurants just minutes away, including Frescana, Meyers Downtown Cafe, Getaway Cafe, Sombreros, Divided Sky, and more.



Golf lovers are close to both Tahoe Paradise Golf Course and Lake Tahoe Golf Course. Skiers can reach Sierra-at-Tahoe in about 20 minutes or Heavenly in approximately 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic and weather.



In warmer months, enjoy hiking, mountain biking, swimming, boating, fishing, and beach days. The Upper Truckee River is about a 10-minute walk away, and many of Lake Tahoe's beautiful beaches are approximately 15–20 minutes by car.

Plenty of Room to Relax



With 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, Thunderbird Cabin offers plenty of space and privacy for families and groups traveling together.



The primary bedroom is conveniently located on the main floor and features a king bed, TV, and a spacious ensuite bathroom with two sinks, a jetted tub, and separate shower.



Upstairs, you'll find two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination.



Front bedroom: Two queen beds and a TV.



Back bedroom: A triple twin bunk bed and a full bed, plus its own collection of fun, including Golden Tee and Asteroids arcade games. It's a kid's dream retreat!



With three full bathrooms, getting everyone ready for a day of Tahoe adventures—or winding down for the evening—is a whole lot easier.



A full-size laundry area is also available, making longer stays especially convenient and giving you a place to dry those wet ski clothes, muddy hiking gear, or sandy beach towels.



Cozy Up After a Day of Adventure



Step inside and you'll find a warm, comfortable living room centered around a wood-burning fireplace—the perfect place to curl up after a day on the slopes or a day exploring the lake.



French doors open to the backyard, bringing in the mountain air and making it easy to keep an eye on the kids or four-legged family members.



There's a flat-screen streaming TV, plenty of comfortable seating, and even a Pac-Man arcade game for the young and young at heart.



The dining table seats six, with additional seating at the kitchen counter—perfect for family dinners, game nights, and sharing stories about the day's adventures.



The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a family feast, including granite countertops, a gas stove, toaster oven, ice maker, and Ninja coffee maker.



A Backyard Made for Tahoe Memories



One of the best features of Thunderbird Cabin is the large, fully fenced private backyard.



Let the kids run and play while your pup enjoys some freedom, relax in your private hot tub, stretch out in the hammock with a good book, or challenge the family to a game of cornhole.



Fire up the propane BBQ on the deck for an easy summer dinner, then settle in and enjoy the mountain evening.



Inside, you'll also find a variety of board games, card games, and puzzles for family game nights.

Good to Know Before You Book



Thunderbird Cabin is a mountain home, and Tahoe weather can be part of the adventure!



Winter guests: A good snow vehicle and appropriate winter tires or chains are strongly recommended. The driveway is steep, and there are stairs from the driveway to the front door. During significant storms, please be prepared for winter driving conditions, possible road closures, traffic delays, and delays in snow removal. Our snow removal crews work throughout snow events, but county road conditions and plowing are outside of our control. 4WD/AWD and/or chains are always recommended.



Tahoe can also experience power outages during major snow, rain, and wind events. We provide lanterns for these occasions.



Maximum occupancy is 6 guests. Children age 5 and under are not counted toward occupancy. Occupancy rules are in effect at all times.



Maximum number of vehicles: 4



Quiet hours: 10:00 PM–8:00 AM



Hot tub hours: 10:00 AM–10:00 PM



Dogs are welcome with a $50 pet fee per reservation.



A signed rental agreement is required for every reservation. The person signing must be at least 25 years old, must stay at the property, and must have a copy of the signed agreement with them during the stay.
