The Thunderbird cabin is conveniently located in the Tahoe Paradise area of South Lake Tahoe. It is an easy drive to all of the Tahoe activities you may want. Located near the community of Meyers with several delicious restaurants (Frescana, Meyers Down Town Cafe, Getaway Cafe, Sombreros, Divided Sky and more) The Tahoe Paradise Golf Course and Lake Tahoe Golf course are just minutes away. It is an easy drive to Sierra At Tahoe or approximately 15-20 minutes to Heavenly. In the summer the beaches are a 15–20-minute drive depending on which one you choose. the Upper Truckee River is about a 10 minute walk away. This is a great spot to explore all Tahoe has to offer: hiking, mountain bikes, the beach, skiing and more.

During the winter you will need a good snow vehicle and tires or chains, the driveway is steep. Once you pull up the driveway there are stairs to the front door. Guests will have access to the 2-car garage.

As you enter the home you enter the warm living room with a wood burning fireplace, flat screen tv and french doors to the yard. The comfortable couch is a great place to relax and enjoy the fire after a day skiing or playing at the beaches.
There is a pac man game for the young and young at heart.
The dining room table seats 6, or more if the kids share the bench. There is also a tall table with two bar stools.
Televisions are streaming only, no cable.

The kitchen is well equipped for your family feasts: granite counters, gas stove, toaster oven, ice maker, Ninja coffee maker. Just off the kitchen is a bath with shower.
The primary bedroom is located on the first floor and features a king bed, TV. The full ensuite bath includes two sinks, jetted tub and separate shower.

Upstairs there is a full bath with a tub/shower combo.
The front bedroom has 2 queen beds and a television.
The back bedroom has a triple twin bunk bed and a full bed, this room also has a Golden Tee Game and asteroids-a perfect retreat for the kids.

The Thunderbird cabin is a great retreat for the family that wants to gather together and enjoy Lake Tahoe. In the summer the kids will love playing in the backyard. The backyard is fully fenced and includes a hot tub, a hammock for lazy summer days, corn hole. There is a propane BBQ on the deck. For those wanting to stay inside there is a wide variety of board/card games and puzzles in the kitchen cabinet left of the microwave.

If you love to ski at Sierra at Tahoe it is a 20 minute drive, or if Heavenly is your spot is approximately 15 minutes depending on traffic and weather.

Your dog is welcome but due to extra wear and tear on the property there will be a $50.00 per reservation pet fee.

While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads..
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)
