Cozy Lakeside Cabin

This property is a one bedroom + loft, one bathroom cabin on South Twin Lake. The cabin sits feet from the water, and you can listen to the waves wash up day and night. A deck with rocking chairs and a propane grill overlook the sand beach. The cabin sits inside a large cove where there is very little wind, so kayaking and paddle boarding can be enjoyed without any consideration for wind conditions. The details won't be lost on you here. This cabin is perfect for a getaway at the base of Katahdin!

Three nights on a lake near BSP

A comfortable and very well-restored classic Maine camp on a large, quiet lake. Less than an hour to Baxter State Park. Nice lodging for two adults or a small family.

Very cozy, quiet and comfortable lakeside cottage

Host was very accommodating. Cottage was super cozy, clean and with all the amenities you'll need with stunning views of the lake. A quiet escape from it all. Highly recommend staying here.

So peaceful

This was the perfect spot to rest and relax. Great proximity to Mt. Katahdin for all you hikers! The setting could not have been more peaceful and serene! The camp is adorable and so comfy and the views of the lake are stunning! Loved being right on the water!!

Our stay at cozy cottage was better than we expected. Everything we needed was right there. Very beautiful area, the lake was awesome. Took the canoe out so my husband could go fishing for awhile. We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. And Kati our host was the best. Thank you for everything!

A Great Spot For Our 40th Anniversary Trip

We spent our honeymoon at a small cabin on a lake in Maine, and we wanted to do the same for our 40th anniversary. This ended up being the perfect place. We used it as a home base for 3 days of hiking (2 at Baxter State Park) and general relaxation. There were kayaks and a canoe for our use but we only got out on the canoe once. Everything was clean, comfortable, and in good working order. Kati was a great and responsive host and we would gladly stay here again.

Anniversary Getaway

Beautiful, clean location for our 32nd anniversary. Very enjoyable cabin, loved the firepit by the lake. Well stocked kitchen, except needs a strainer for cooking pasta and draining food items. We appreciated being able to use the owners dock to tie up our boat. Biggest complaint, the lake needs to produce more trout and salmon, and less bass and perch! (Like you can change that, right?).

Amazing

My husband and I stayed here so we could climb mt katahdin! It was the perfect place. It was peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. After our 11 hour drive we were able to sit by the lake and relax and enjoy the beauty of it even had some duck friends come rt up to us and I am a animal lover so this was amazing. It was a great way to get my mind set for that mt climb. We also took there canoe out on the lake which we haven’t done in years and it was amazing! The host was great had everything we needed and number was rt there in case we needed anything. Definitely will stay again if we ever get back to Maine.❤️

Perfect Getaway

We came up from Virginia to visit family but wanted our own place to stay. We couldn’t have been happier with this camp. It has been completely redone but still has all the charm of an old camp which gives it a cozy feel. Kati has not only done a wonderful job with making sure it has all the amenities you could need but has done an amazing job decorating! As soon as I walked in I was impressed! The bedroom has a beautiful view of the lake and a queen bed that was extremely comfortable. Our two kids were beyond excited to sleep up in the loft (on an air mattress) but also had the option to sleep on the large comfy futon. We all enjoyed the kayaks, Lilly pad float and fishing from the shore. We will definitely be back!!

Maine Stay

This is a traditional Maine cabin located steps away from a beautiful lake giving the opportunity for beautiful views and listening to the cries of loons or quacking of passing ducks. It was comfortable and suited our needs quite well. Kayaks and a canoe are present, but we were so busy exploring the surrounding area hiking trails we did not have time to partake in that activity. The location was perfect to serve as our base camp and we looked forward to the refreshing shower along with comfortable bed each night. Katie is an exceptional host. She answered all our prearrival questions promptly. She has the cabin arranged well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. If you are looking for a place near Baxter State Park and the Katahadin Wilderness, I would recommend staying here. Thank you, Katie, for sharing your property with us.

Rustic Northern Maine Woods Cabin.

Our week's stay was fantastic! Small rustic cabin in the northern Maine Woods on a pristine lake. Great location! Host told us that they have been investing in the cabin each year and you can see the many upgrades in the decor that make this a special seasonal retreat. It's a small seasonal cabin with all of the necessary amenities. Really enjoyed our late July, early August stay. Rob and Teresa Emerson Kemah, TX

Just what we needed!

We had a great time enjoying this beautiful lake. It was quiet, peaceful, and felt cozy. The canoe and kayaks were a bonus and let us explore even more. We highly recommend!

Cozy lake house

My family enjoyed our time together relaxing at this cozy house by the lake. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, reading, exploring the area, and eating smores by the fire. It was the perfect ending to our summer!

Nothing short of amazing in this cozy cottage literally steps from the lake! Waking to the sound of the lake rippling on shore, the ducks visiting, loons, sunrises and sunsets, couldn’t ask for anything more than that for a peaceful weekend. Katie has thought of everything…I mean everything! Kitchen is stocked like my own kitchen, towels, linens, WiFi, kayaks, floats, beach chairs, fire pit, rocking chairs on the deck…. what wasn’t provided?! Close to Baxter state park and took advantage of a day hike. Katie was available for any questions we may have had. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend, we will be back!

Wonderful

The cottage is everything we were expecting it to be based on the listing and more. Cozy, warm, clean, well appointed and I never slept so well. Only wished we stayed longer. Host was great, knew she was a text away if we had questions. If your looking for a cute lakeside cottage that's on a quiet lake and has a great host then this is the place.
