South Twin Place - Comfortable year-round home on the shores of South Twin Lake!

South Twin Place is located on the shores of South Twin Lake on the Pemadumcook Chain of Lakes (South Twin, North Twin, Ambajejus, Pemadumcook and Elbow). Perfectly located for your trip to the Kathadin region for visiting Baxter State Park (Mt. Kathadin), exploring the lakes with many gorgeous beaches, white water rafting the Penobscot River, fishing, riding ATV's or snowmobiling on the Jo Mary trail system from the property! Property has excellent swimming and plenty of dock space for your boat. Roast your marshmallows on the fire pit overlooking the lake.

House is very comfortable with new appliances, new beds, central heating system and heat pumps (being installed Spring 2024) for summer AC comfort. Property is located approximately 6 miles from the center of Millinocket so the convenience of groceries, gas and restaurants are close by.

Beautiful and serene location. House was immaculately clean and stocked with everything you needed. Lake was great for swimming kayaking. Had a wonderful few days here. Very comfortable. Great nighttime views of the stars. Highly recommend!

Wonderful home, wonderful hosts!

The property was exactly as advertised and even better! My husband and I met my sister and her husband, all in our 50s. The house had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Loved the cabin/lake house decor! Communication with the hosts was excellent. We came expecting to share 3 kayaks and a canoe, but Kevin surprised us by delivering an extra kayak just before our arrival so we could all enjoy exploring the lake! Campfires were easy with everything provided, and the brand new deck with bar-style dining were perfect for enjoying views of the lake after cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. Highly recommended!!

We Loved staying here!! My husband and I are lake lovers, and I'm also a mountain lover, so it was perfect! The home is super clean, and charmingly decorated. The home is well set up with instructions on everything. Kitchen is super well stocked. It is a quiet gorgeous place. We were 5 people total, and felt very comfortable.

Excellent!

We loved staying here. My husband, cousin, her partner, and myself stayed here for a weekend of snowmobiling and we couldn't be happier with the location.The communication from start to end was prompt and excellent. The hospitality was as well. The home is beautiful, was clean and had everything one would. We would highly recommend it.

Camp time week Feb 2025

We had a very relaxing time at Kevin and Cathy's camp! Communication with Kevin was spot on and he replied very quickly. We had no issues all week. The weather was challenging (a snowstorm with 40 mph gusts and some wind chill temps in the negative numbers), but the camp was nice, warm, and cozy—easy access to the lake and snowmobile trails. The camp entrance is great with an area to take off boots and sled clothes and hang them. The living room/kitchen area downstairs is awesome for hanging out, doing puzzles, playing games, and watching TV, and nice and warm when the fireplace is on! Nice kitchen area with modern appliances and plenty of room to prepare meals. A great time had by all!

Millinocket Marathon & Half

It was a quick in and out which left us wishing we could have stayed longer! The house and views were spectacular and created the most comforting setting to prep and recover from a long walk. Everything represented in the listing was spot-on and Kevin and Kathy were quite responsive with information and our random questions. We're in discussion about a warm weather visit and would be looking to return here!!

A Northern Gem

Family and I had a terrific stay at Kevin and Cathy`s place. It felt like home once we stepped inside. The family enjoyed the many surround sites from relaxing to exploring. Kevin was a great host and had top notch communication skills. Only issue we had was that our stay ended and back to reality. We`ll definitely be staying there again in the future.

Peaceful Lake Front House

We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts went out of their way to make our stay great. They brought enough boats for our family of 5 to explore the lake and supplied wood and s’mores fixings for a perfect nighttime activity. Communication was easy and the house comfortable. It is a few miles from town so I’d suggest getting your supplies before heading out.
