Retreat at the Lake

Located within the property of The Point and 3 miles from Trump National Golf Course, the house is a gorgeous, three story waterfront home on a quiet cove on Lake Norman. It has three bedrooms on the top floor, with an additional bedroom in the basement. The main floor has a large living room, fully stocked kitchen with eating area, and den with an additional TV. The basement also has a large hang-out area, with a bar, large 65" TV and a game table.

The home is located on a quiet, private cove with a protected swimming area. We have 2 kayaks and 2 standup paddle boards available for guests to use. We are located 40 minutes to downtown Charlotte.

ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES of any kind! There will be a $1,000 fine for any party on the premises. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING. There will be a $500 fine.

Relaxing lake getaway

It's a great place to bring the family and just relax. The house is warm and friendly and plenty of space to spread out. The host was quick and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.

Great House!

Large, clean, fully equipped, comfortable house with a beautiful lake view. Easy to communicate with owner. Our family had an amazing time with the fire pit, kayaks, paddle boards, house games, and plentiful seating for all. We would definitely like to rent this house again.

Annual family gathering

The whole family loved this place. In particular, the kids loved all of the toys for playing in the lake. It gave us a rare opportunity for us all to get together since we live at opposite ends of the country. We have absolutely no disparaging comments, except perhaps fewer stairs would be handy for the older parts of the family

Turning 60 with family at the lake

Retreat at the Lake was the perfect setting to celebrate a milestone birthday with family! The house was well appointed, comfortable and easily accommodated our family (8 adults and 3 children.) The outdoor spaces, including covered and open deck areas, screened in porch, and our own private cove for swimming were the best!! I highly recommend this home to those wanting a peaceful setting with options for as much activity as desired.

Perfection

A college girlfriends trip was made extremely enjoyable because of this well appointed house. All the supplies you could possibly need were provided. We could not have asked for anything more! We practically lived at the big dining room table and swimming in the crystal clear lake off the dock was glorious. I would highly recommend this rental and would return again.

Lake House Getaway

We spent a week at this house directly on Lake Norman. The neighborhood is upscale, near the Trump golf course, and a grocery store 10min away. The house is very nice. We had plenty of room to spread out, the bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the sun room was perfect for enjoying morning coffee. We enjoyed playing games in the evening and used their paddle boards during the day. We rented a boat from 77 Watersports that delivered to the dock, which was incredibly convenient. I had a question during our stay and the host responded quickly and was able to help. It was a wonderfully relaxing week, and I would definitely recommend.

Perfect Setting, Great Host

The house is as described and in great condition. There is plenty of space especially when considering the basement which had its own TV area and a well stocked area for kids (games, crafts, etc). The location is better than advertised with the house right on a cove perfect for swimming, paddle boarding or taking the kayaks out on the lake. Would certainly recommend.

Beautiful Lake Getaway

Magical! Our family of 7 found this property to be well equipped for cooking and the beds were comfortable. In the evening we relaxed in front of one of the many TVs, worked on a puzzle, or roasted marshmallows at the fire pit. During the day we had a blast with the tubes, kayaks and paddleboards that were provided. Fantastic place for a family vacation!

Great Property

This property was perfect for our family. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. The outdoor area and yard was amazing and well kept. We really enjoyed being able to use the kayaks and paddle boards. We rented a boat one day and were able to park it at the dock. Nancy was great and easy to communicate with. Would def stay here again

Great experience!

What a great time! The location on the water is fantastic. We rented a boat for our stay and used the dock for the overnight stay. The cove is quiet and really great for swimming. The house itself is as advertised and was enjoyable to stay in. Excellent trip from top to bottom.

Location was excellent. Little cove was gorgeous. Except for spiderwebs the house was clean. Had to clean out the ice maker to get it to work. Spacious.

Great nook, lake house

Loads of games to play indoors. Thoughtful lawn games. Really was a place that emphasized connecting with the people you were with rather than with devices, arcades, or video games. We had a great time. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed. Kayaks and SUPs were awesome. Really had loads of fun. Nancy was warm and welcoming.

Perfection!

We had an amazing time at this property! With over 3,000 sqft, 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, large dining table, 2 living rooms, large kitchen, plenty of TVs and large windows we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We also loved the quiet cove for swimming and the dock for tying up our jet skis. An added bonus were the kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the screened in patio to have morning coffee and the large, 8 person, outside table where we ate most of our dinners. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back to this property next year. Thank you Nancy for being such a gracious host. It was awesome! 🥰
