Such an awesome home..!! We enjoyed our stay. It was an absolutely perfect setting for our 4-day getaway before the holidays. We were able to enjoy the fireplace and sauna with the Christmas tree being an extra bonus. Shane was an excellent communicator. He provided detailed information regarding our stay in advance & responded promptly to our inquires. Highly recommended..!

We had the best relaxing weekend! Watching college football and cooking steaks on the grill! We spent hours in the hot tub! The beds are very comfortable we had everything we needed. Shane was accommodating and great to work with. We will definitely be visiting again!

We’ve celebrated Labor Day weekend for the last three years in Hotchatown. This was our favorite cabin to visit. The cabin was clean with most all the amenities that one needs. I especially liked the coffee bar. I’m kind of an early morning person. We cooked steaks on the provided grill and we had plenty of room in the spacious kitchen, to prepare all the sides. Shane. “ the host” was extremely helpful. With tips before we arrived and text messages just to make sure all was well. The location was awesome and I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an awesome home away from home. Thank you,Shane! We’ll book again.

Our little family of three has been visiting Hochatown for 13 years. We always choose a different cabin each time - just part of the fun and adventure. Chasing Rumors is one of the few we would return to again and again. It surpassed our expectations and truly lives up to the “luxury” description . It was perfect for our family - plenty of room to spread out but also so many great indoor and outdoor spaces to connect.

The Perfect get away

Perfect cabin” chasing Rumors” , perfect spot, pictures do no justice because it’s stunning!! Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. Hot tub, sauna, view, fireplace, soaker tub, all of it is great!! Games for family, several TV’s inside & out & the perfect place to sit with family over a fire making s’mores. Beautifully designed & worth visiting again. We will be back!!

Quick Spring Break Getaway

We had a great time at Chasing Rumors! The cabin was as advertised and very clean. High end bedding and towels and great quiet location. The owner was very attentive and checked on us throughout. We would definitely return!

Family Getaway

The property was flawless and had everything we needed! It was perfect for a family of 4! We absolutely loved all the deck space and hot tub. The inside was cozy and had every amenity to make it cozy and relaxing. The property manager/owner was seriously a dream to work with. Very accommodating and communication was 10/10! The design inspiration for this custom cabin came from family trips to the 30A area of the Florida panhandle. The vacation homes along Rosemary Beach, Seaside and Watercolor offer volumes of space, professional décor, and comfortable for a relaxing stay near the ocean. This cabin attempts to create that same emotion and warmth in its spaces while emphasizing the beauty of its best asset, the serenity of trees. Its not the ocean, but there is something about sitting outside and listening to the wind rustle through trees. This Cabin was not designed to maximize guests or revenue, its was created for my family and others that appreciate the meaning of "time away". Vacation is for memories, not just passing time.

The name 'Chasing Rumors' was created from my daughter after our 6 year old German Shepherd named Rumor. However, Rumor is not allowed at her own cabin that bears her name since I want a pet free environment for myself and guests.

I designed this cabin to serve as my home away from home, not just a short term rental. My hope is feel the same way within seconds of walking through the front door. The walk-in pantry, walk-in closets in each bathroom area, the emphasis on providing great views while not sacrificing privacy are key elements to make this property different than the others. This was created for how my family enjoys comfort and hope it meets your expectations as well.
