We had a wonderful stay here. The house is immaculate and fully equipped with everything you could need. The layout is perfect—cozy yet spacious. The photos in the listing are exactly how the house looks in person. The location truly can’t be beat, with a beautiful beach view and a quiet setting. The neighbors were friendly, and we felt completely safe and at home. We would absolutely rent this place again.

This was a beautiful house, beatiful views. It was windy and cold being November but the views from indoors still made it worth it! Plenty of extra blankets and enjoyed there was a mini-split in each room to help be warmer for my mother-in-law but not needed for us. Wonderful stay!

The host’s communication before our stay was excellent, and the home’s location offered beautiful sunrise and sunset views. As others have mentioned, the property shows signs of age and could benefit from some updates. The bathroom sink is rusty, the tub surface is peeling, and the fireplace wasn’t usable. Overall, we enjoyed the setting but expected a bit more given the listing.

Beautiful beach house nestled in the dune grasses. Located on the border of OOB and Ocean Park, it was perfect for us with over 150 years of history up there.The beach was right outside our door and the rooftop deck was a favorite perch for all to watch the tides. Especially loved the kitchen being so well appointed that I could cook!Front row seat for the best 7 miles of beach on the eatern seaboard!

The house was perfect for three generations of our family to enjoy OOB for a week. The location could not have been better with amazing views and just a few steps and you are on a beautiful beach. We found the toaster broken and I reported that to Richard. Within 24 hours a brand new toaster was delivered. The house itself could use some cosmetic work and the kitchen could use better utensils and pans for baking. However those were minor things compared to the many positives! We plan to be back next year!

Very happy with our stay. The amount of space throughout the house was much larger than expected and fit our family of 10 very comfortably. Location is everything at the beach and this location is unbeatable, just steps of the sand. Owner was very responsive when I had questions. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Loved everything about our stay here, the porch overlooking the beach was wonderful, the beds were very comfortable, and having the beach just steps away all week was amazing, would absolutely stay here again.

This was a 50th Anniversary celebration with the family (6 adults and 5 children) The house was great for this large group and the location was perfect for adults and children. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely go back.

Summer Vacation

The location of the stay was perfect. Easy access to the beach and pier. Family of six (ages 17). Plenty of room for everyone. The basement did have some water flooding issues, but we would definitely return if the issues were corrected.

Great stay!

The location of the house is perfect. It was clean, cosy and welcoming. Everything you need for the beach is avaialble in the house. I was there end of april and I could take long walks on the beach which was not crowdy :). will return!

Winter getaway

We traveled to Old Orchard during February break. While OOB didn’t have a lot going on we were able to travel around Maine with an oceanfront home base. The beach was nearly empty for daily walks, plenty of sunshine to bundle up and sit on the upper deck in, and a lot of snow! We did enjoy a nor’easter while we were there. The driveway was cleared the next day and the front stairs were cleaned. We did have to do the deck out back to enjoy it. The house has everything you could need for a rental. It was a great week with plenty of space, fresh air, and cozy beds.

Winter Wonderland

It was a beautiful, snowy two weeks. Exactly what i was looking for. The house was super cozy. The location was amazing. A beautiful sunrise over the ocean greeted me every morning and a stroll on the beach was right out the door. Couldn't recommend enough.

Exceeded Expectations - Family Getaway

This was one of the most spectacular properties we have ever stayed at. We came "off season" but found plenty to do every day within an hour drive. Hiking at Bradbury Mountain, Harbor sunset sailboat cruise, great local cuisine, and live music at The Brunswick. And, my favorite, swimming in the ocean and walking the beach right from the house. Morning coffee and evening relaxing on his top balcony overlooking the ocean was amazing. And, the sunrise was absolutely breathtaking. When we were chillin inside, playing Pacman (and other arcade games on the video game), the small pool table & ping pong table was the icing on the cake. There are so many amenities for cooking, daily usage items such as glasses & dishes, beach play (beach towels, boogie board, beach chairs) and even an outdoor shower WITH WARM WATER so we could keep the sand out of the house. We had 5 people for 5 days and I never heard an "I'm board" once as there was plenty to do right where we were. Richard - thank you for putting your home on VRBO so we could enjoy it as we did. If we ever return to Maine, I hope your place is available so we can stay there again.
