The location and the view were beautiful!!! BUT….the house was musty and moldy smelling. The bedding and towels were musty smelling, the overall cleanliness of the house was not good. There were dead bugs everywhere. I had to sweep the floors right after checking in. The stove top only had one working burner, the bottom oven didn’t work. Normally this wouldn’t have been an issue for me but since it was over Thanksgiving it was a serious issue. One of the sinks in the master bath drained extremely slow, to the point of not being able to use it. The house is way over priced in my opinion.

Great Family Venue

Living room and deck are both amazing. Plenty of room for everyone to get together. Beds were very comfortable. Only complaint was there wasn’t an ice maker, but there were 2 refrigerators so we had plenty of room to chill all of the drinks and store ice. Would recommend.

Gorgeous large home right on the peaceful piece of beach

Hosts were very sweet and helpful. We were honored to be their first guests in this house. Well stocked, clean, and perfect location away from some of the hustle and bustle but still convenient to all of Galveston. Hard to fine a place that is pet friendly AND handicap accessible. The elevator made it possible for a mobility scooter to get around easily. Would highly recommend this home and it’s hosts!!

Family Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful stay here for five days! We do an annual Galveston Island trip with our entire family and this house was the perfect size. It offered a large living and dinning area where we could all be together to eat and play games. We also loved the location. It's a very quiet and private area, very few people on the beach and everyone was very kind! We went for morning walks, enjoyed beach days and because of the location, we were able to take breaks at the house for lunch! We also loved the huge patio with tons of furniture so we could all sit outside! The rooms were a great size and loved how many king beds there were! Cold AC with plenty of bathrooms which was a must for us! We'll be back next year!

Unbeatable Beachfront Views & Incredible Host – A Perfect Stay!

Our stay at this stunning beachfront home in Galveston was absolutely perfect! The house is right on the beach, offering breathtaking views from almost every room. The large windows throughout the house make the views feel endless, and each room feels like its own private retreat with the sound of the waves just outside.The expansive decks were an absolute highlight. We spent hours on them, enjoying the fresh sea breeze, watching the sunrise with coffee in the morning, and just unwinding with the incredible view of the beach. The lot is huge and very private, providing plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the outdoors in privacy. The neighborhood is great with large well maintained homes and absolutely no cars allowed on the beach(a good thing to check for!)Not only is this home an absolute gem, but Chris, the host, made our experience even better. From the moment we booked, he was incredibly responsive, answering all our questions and providing helpful recommendations for local activities. It was clear that he genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. Any small requests we had were handled promptly and with a friendly attitude, which made our stay even more enjoyable.If you’re looking for a beachfront escape in Galveston with amazing views and a host who goes above and beyond, this is the place to be! We can’t wait to come back next year.

Poorly maintained house, but great deck & view

Large deck & great deck furniture, with private beach walkover, all 5 star!! There's even some shade! The house inside, on surface, is beautiful, but when you live there & cook meals, as our family of 15 did for 9 nights (10 adults, 5 kids ages 2-9) - you realize how poorly maintained it is. Carpets in bedrooms and large rug in living room are filthy! Patio furniture is old, rusty, and wobbly. Two large broken windows - the owner said they were in no danger of shattering all over us? Kitchen cabinets, filthy inside in places, and falling apart in places, Tile kitchen floor is cracked and sinking, and we were in fear of it collapsing in spots. Owner repaired some easy things (like broken door handle from house to deck, broken garbage disposal, 2 burners & downdraft of stove not working (owner provided a 2-burner hot plate), replaced a rusty, smelly clothes dryer with a working used one, provided a new charcoal grill, (that we had to assemble). But owner did not address major safety problems after we reported them - missing smoke detectors, no exterior lights at the top of 19 stairs, at the only entrance to the house. We heard nothing from owner in the last 4 days of our stay. We definitely would NOT stay here again, unless the owner has undertaken major repairs. This house is WAY over-priced. There are some good points - nice linens (after the owner replaced some dirty towels), pretty good wifi. But you're not to use the fireplace & elevator, and there's no playground.

Property is Dirty and in Terrible Disrepair- Not as advertised at all.

The home is in terrible disrepair and is very unclean and unsanitary. No one is taking care of this home nor cleaning it between rentals. It’s disgusting. Furthermore, the air conditioning system did not work. At the time I rented the home the weather was 100 degrees and the upstairs AC was broken and not working. We were not told this ahead of the trip, and then the owner failed to send anyone to repair it for multiple days. This made the entire upstairs of the house unusable. Furthermore, there were used dirty dishes in the kitchen cabinets that no one bothered to wash; missing tiles on the floor; doors hanging off hinges, an infestation of ants and roaches. When these issues were brought to the owners’ attention they did nothing to resolve the problems. The gross and malfunctioning condition of this home ruined this vacation. I have stayed at this home once before and cleanliness, the poor condition and the disrepair were the same. We gave the property owners the benefit of the doubt at that time because we assumed they were just having difficulties. But all the same cleanliness issues and disrepair were still a problem this time. This house is not what is being advertised.

No Hot Water - Disappointed with Quality of Home

We were not satisfied with our stay here. Pictures in the listing are misleading and must have been taken a while ago. Primary complaints include: NO HOT WATER in the upstairs bathrooms, constant slow drip in laundry room, ants on kitchen counter, dirty cupboards and kitchenware (mold and bugs), non-working electrical outlets, doors off the hinges, loose floor tiles, no broom or vacuum, no beach towels, and not enough bath towels/washcloths. The host, Chris, was responsive in getting us more towels and a broom, but he did not address any of the main issues with the house, including the no hot water. Instead, he offered to buy us a pizza. We asked for a refund but he denied there were any issues before we arrived, even when we sent photos of the problems. This property was not worth the money we paid. We have stayed in other beach front properties in this area that were much cleaner and better stocked. The welcome gift on the counter was a nice enough gesture, but they were all expired snacks by 4 to 10 months. We were not allowed to use the shutters on the window. The trash cans outside were full when we arrived and no one came to move or empty them like the instructions said. The sand toys downstairs were in disarray when we arrived, and there was still trash left from the guests before. Would only recommend this house if the primary issues were fixed or rented at a much lower cost. Overall very disappointing.

Perfect family Beach HOUSE

The property was perfectly located , well maintained and very spacious .The beach was barely 50 yards from back porch, non vehicle access and very private .Home provisions were plentiful and house was very clean .However the best part was our host Chris .He was timely in responses and very pleasant to deal with. I recommend this house for many reasons but location on Indian Beach was near enough to Galveston for everything and private /exclusive enough to enjoy the private wave therapy .Kudos Chris.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this property. The home is gorgeous, huge, and very well designed for family gatherings; and the location is perfect. Communication with the owners and property management were fast and very responsive any time we needed anything. We will definitely rent this property again.

Amazing beach house!

We traveled to Galveston for dance nationals. Our group was 5 adults, 4 teenagers ages 14-18 and a 10 year old. We walked in the house and were blown away by how gorgeous the house is and the amazing open living/dining space. Walking out on the back patio we were thrilled by the amazing ocean. The beach is steps away down the private walkway. The kitchen is fully equipped just like home. We cooked most of our meals at the house and were never without a utensil, or pot or pan. Each bedroom was comfortable and met all of our needs. I cannot say enough good things about this house. This house has everything you would need for a great vacation! I will book this house again if we come to Galveston. Also a small grocery store near by pretty well stocked for those last minute needs! Love love loved our stay!

Ideal Family Memorial Day Beach Weekend

Spent a long Memorial Day 2022 in this spacious and beautiful home right on the Galveston beach. Our family of eight were able to spread out and enjoy the ocean beauty. We could walk right out to the beach every day after having coffee on the massive balcony patio with a nice bench swing. We have rented numerous properties in Galveston and this one by far the best experience we have had. Highly recommended.
