Country house in Montrose

Very comfortable home for your vacation. Complete kitchen, laundry, and formal dining rooms. Spacious living room, with a fireplace. Three bedrooms. One with a queen bed, another with a queen bed, and the third bedroom is a den with a futon to sleep one or two. Quiet country location with access to Montrose and all of its surrounding attractions. Ouray, Telluride, Grand Mesa, Black Canyon, Blue Mesa, and the list goes on. Also not far from Grand Junction. This property was indeed built by myself. I personally welcome families to enjoy my home.

Wonderful stay in a Peaceful Neighborhood!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home near Montrose, Colorado! The house is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and we loved having the option to grill outside on the patio — perfect for enjoying the beautiful Colorado weather.The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, which made for a restful retreat after a day of exploring the area. We truly felt at home and appreciated the peaceful surroundings.Overall, we had an amazing time and highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway in Montrose. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful Home

This property worked very well for our needs. The extra large parking area allowed us to park our large truck and trailer. The home was very clean and inviting.

Montrose Gem

Beautiful, spacious, and quiet home just north of Montrose. Ideal location for exploring Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Grand Mesa, Ourey, and numerous scenic drives. House was super clean and comfortable, had everything we needed and then some. Highly recommend!!

Great home base for epic rides

This is a fantastic choice for staying close to Peach Valley recreation area. Norm is easy to get a hold of, is great to talk with, and had some very useful local tips. The house is just a few minutes away from some tasty butchers. Definitely recommend this house if you're looking to stay in Montrose. We'll be back!

2ND STAY FABULOUS

We enjoyed our first stay at Norm and Pam's place when we were first here to look at potential properties so much that we booked it again when we were back in town to sign on the property that we have purchased. Comfortable, quiet neighborhood, all the amenities you will need, great location close to Montrose, Olathe and Delta - easy access to Gunnison tourist area. recommend highly - Norm looks after this property and is available on short notice for any needs. Montrose Summer Vacation

If you’re looking for a big, comfortable house with some amazing views, this is the place to stay!! Conveniently located about 9 miles from the Montrose airport, it provides easy access to town but also peace and quiet!! Enjoy your morning coffee on the back covered patio, or a glass of wine on the front patio and with a the view of the mountains!! The great room is very comfortably furnished with plenty of room for entertaining. There is a dining room and an eat in kitchen for those large family meals. Speaking of the kitchen, it is the most fully equipped of all the kitchens in places where we have previously stayed!! The owner, Norm, is very responsive and easy to work with. If your travel plans take you to Montrose do not pass up the opportunity to rent this lovely home!!

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE - MORE THAN ADVERTISED

There were four adults. We were in Montrose to purchase farm property and this was an excellent introduction to the area and surrounding towns. House was on a great piece of land, very private and well kept. Pictures of outside and inside do not do it justice. Roomy, comfortable, clean and welcoming. We had one little glitch with the wifi and very quickly corrected by Norm our host - wonderful person and his home reflects the love that he and his wife put into it. More than ample supplies of everything. We will definately rebook this property when we are back in the area as the sale went through and we will be visiting often. Montrose, Delta, Orathe and Ridgway were great visiting and communities are very welcoming and eateries were perfect. Again, Norm thank you we appreciate our stay and feel blessed to have found your little bit of heaven. Barb and Tye , Becky and Joe.

This was an excellent property!

The pictures on VRBO do not do this property justice! It was so much better than expected! Everything was clean and maintained, beds were comfortable, and it had everything that you would need including kitchenware, linens, and bedding! Thank you Norm for a great stay!

Peaceful Country Home

Great property to stay at. It is situated out on a country road that is quiet and away from major traffic, with only an 8ish minute drive to Montrose and a 20 minute drive to Delta. The interior is super comfortable and home-y with a spacious decked-out kitchen, comfortable furniture, and great A/C. Norm was generous and did us some extra favors to make sure our stay was comfortable. Hope we'll be back some time soon!

Great Getaway

This house worked perfectly for our family. It is just a minute off US Hwy 50 , so it was the perfect spot to access all of the places around. The house was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our time immensely.

Very Comfortable

This home was very comfortable and relaxing. It is a clean property. We were a bit concerned that it was only 1.5 baths but it worked out perfectly! With 4 adults and one kid taking a bath, one after another, we never ran out of hot water. Property owner is super responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Place to Stay

Picked this location for a dirt bike trip for 6 people. Had a great time. House was nice and Norm (host) was very friendly/accommodating. Hope to make it back again for another trip.

Modern country home short distance to multiple attractions

We travelled to Montrose to discover Black Canyon, but realized that the property was also located near scenic highways that lead to clean, swimming beach in Ridgeway State Park, Blue and Grand Mesa and cute orchard towns near Paonia. We cooked every day in an extremely well equipped kitchen, enjoyed steaks from a clean and well maintained grill on sunset covered porch and morning coffee with breathtaking mountain sunrise. There were six of us and sleeping arrangements were very comfortable and adequate. Shower had the best water pressure in Colorado :). Huge living room with enough seats to allow all of us to watch Olympics together. Owner very responsive to our questions and requests. We definitely recommend it for lodging in Western Colorado.

Excellent value, great family home

Unable to get a place in Ouray we chose this home. It’s perfectly laid out, kitchen has everything a cook could require, all new appliances etc. Norm was absolutely gracious about accommodating our requests. Spacious, clean and new. We would absolutely stay here again.

Ranch House

I am a 58 year old widower. I built this house for my wife and myself in 2006 and began living here in 2007. My dear wife and best friend passed away in 2019. You need to know I still live on the property. It is my primary residence. When guests are in my home, they will share no space at all with me. I have a bedroom out the back of the house with an exterior entrance. In my bedroom I have a bathroom, laundry, and kitchenette. I will be available for any needs the guests might have. Privacy is of the highest priorty for me, both yours and mine. My wish is to make your stay as comfortable as as possible. I hope you enjoy staying in my home as much as I enjoy living here. It is my opinion the most memorable part of your vacation should not be your accomodations, but rather the time you and your family has spent together in this wonderful place of western Colorado. Should the need arise to talk to me please feel free to call me or knock on my door. I am at your service. Thank you for entrusting a portion of your vacation to me and my home.
