Great location! Fully fenced in yard and expansive deck. Come and relax!

Great beach house in one of the best locations on Oak Island. Short walking distance to the beach, many restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops, donut/ice cream shop, ABC store, intercostal waterway, nature park and picnic pavilion at ICW park. Plus, a dock 3 blocks away to launch kayaks and boat or do some fishing or boating. Also, in walking distance to kid's water park, mini golf and Middleton Park (which features live outdoor concerts, movie nights and festivals regularly throughout the summer), tennis and basketball courts and playground are all in walking distance as well. Walk or grab a golf cart to get around and enjoy all of what OKI has to offer.

Renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath house sleeps 8. Large fully fenced in deck area with patio and grill. Deck extends to back where there is a backyard firepit area and enclosed outside shower. Enjoy smores at the firepit, a game of cornhole, dinner/ drinks or sun on the deck, watch movies on wifi TVs. The house has a queen in master, twins in second bedroom and double and twin in front bedroom, as well as queen sofa bed. Linens and bath towels provided at NO ADDITIONAL FEE. Well stocked kitchen, so cooking is a breeze and a large pantry for plenty of storage.

Head to the point to see where the ICW meets the sea and listen to pirate tales on summer nights. Stroll the beach to hopefully see a few turtle nests and some amazing sunsets. Southport is a 10 min drive and has a great downtown area with shops, antique mall, brewery, wine stop, waterfront parks and great waterfront restaurants. NC Aquarium is close (15 min ferry from Southport to Ft Fisher). Bald Head Island ferry can also be taken from Southport. The waterfront in historic downtown Wilmington is a 30 min drive, as well as USS North Carolina Battleship, which is open for tours.

Walk the beach at the Caswell end of the island and see our lighthouse, enjoy gulf on the island, plenty of watercraft rentals options (kayaks, paddle board, canoes, boats), water tours are available from several places in Southport. Throw your fishing line in the ICW or into Davis Canal. Also, 2 fishing piers. Great location for cycling as well.

Maybe the cleanest and best kept property we have stayed in the past 30 years. Well stocked with everything you need to feel like you’re staying in your own place. It’s a great central location and very convenient to everything.

A Shore Thing is definitely a sure thing for a wonderful beach vacation. The house is comfortable and well stocked with everything you could need. The outdoor deck and back yard are amazing. The communication with the host was warm and responsive. Close and easy walk to the beach. Lots of groceries and dining places within walking distance. I can’t wait to go back!

OKI Tranquil Harbor Stay

The property was quaint and clean and within walking distance to amenities and the beach. Perfect for our stay and would definitely recommend and look to book again.

Clean, Quiet, Awesome!

The house and neighborhood are beautiful. We came in the off season and it was a great getaway for a quiet beach weekend. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 teenagers.

Great trip to Oak Island!

This was our second time staying at this property and it was just as great this time around. The house is adorable, but we love the location. We really like that we are able to easily walk to the beach, grocery store Kai Joe's and out for ice cream.

Great home!

The photos don't do it justice! It's a great location and wonderful property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the home was definitely well equipped. We were able to bop right across to the beach and the backyard/deck is a wonderful place to hang out!

Thanksgiving with Family

Perfect getaway for families with small children!

Love the beach house, it appears to be recently updated and is nicely appointed. My favorite was the outdoor living space, so spacious and great for enjoying the ocean air!

Just Perfect

Plenty of little touches made this a cozy home for a lovely family beach vacation. The house was very clean, adequately stocked, and conveniently located near shopping. The side deck and nice backyard with firepit were the cherry on top of a wonderful stay.

Sisters Get-away Weekend

I booked A Shore Thing for our get-away weekend. The house was beautiful! And the outside deck was an enjoyable place to spend mornings drinking coffee. We loved the location - very close to Southport. I would love to stay at this house again! Thank you, Bernice, for being such a great host.

Adorable Property and Great Location

Loved the decor, cleanliness, amount of room and to many other items to mention. House was stocked with some extras we forgot which was very appropriated. The owner was very responsive. We will definitely stay again if in the area.
