Located in Altmar, NY, on the ATV and snowmobile trails and walking distance to the Salmon River, dining, grocery, gas and more. Tube or Kayak the Salmon River! Only 6 miles away from the town of Pulaski. Additionally Lake Ontario, Salmon River Reservoir and Oneida Lake is just a short drive away.
Individual room rentals not available. Guests can have access to the garage on site, upon request. Keep your toys and gear out of the elements!
PET FRIENDLY!!!!! A pet deposit and cleanup required.

Couldn’t ask for better place to make memories with all my friends in this fishing trip. The location was excellent. We had everything nearby. Accommodations for 7 of us were excellent and we really enjoyed the house inside and outside. Andrea was an amazing host. Definitely will be back again.

Entire family stayed there for a wedding weekend at Tailwater Lodge. It was convenient and allowed everyone their own space and allowed the opportunity for quiet away from the venue.

My family loved staying at A Stone's Throw Lodge! I will be honest. When we first drove up, I though there was no way the house would fit the 8 of us comfortably. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw just how much space was inside. There was enough space in the living room and basement area to spread out along with in the bedrooms. We were able to have dinner at the dinner table that was huge. Then when we sat outside to have a drink and s'mores by the fire, it was so relaxing. Just what we needed after a day on Lake Ontario. I really hope we are able to visit again next year on our annual fishing trip!! I highly recommend A Stone's Throw Lodge!!

Expected Different

Andrea was a good communicator and seemed to be a kind person. She came out as soon as she could to change the dirty sheets on one of the twin beds that had hair and grass in them. Going into this rental was very different than any other place I’ve rented. The floors were not vacuumed or swept well. I honestly think that all of our sheets weren’t clean. This rental is really for guys who want to fish and don’t care too much about the clean sheets, cobwebs, clean floors, dust, or mice. The pictures to show this rental property are older and a bit outdated, so the rental is more weathered and used. The frying pans were not usable. They were very scratched teflon type pans. There was not a night stand for a lot of the beds. There was also not a lot of places to put your bag or suitcase. We had to put most of our things on the floor. The pictures on line are not accurate. I am not giving this review to be mean. I think it’s important that everyone understands what the rental looks like currently. I will say the air conditioning worked very well. And as long as you didn’t clean dishes or run the washing machine there was plenty of hot water for all 7 of us to shower. This site would not let me attach anymore than 8 pictures but dropped 2 of them.

Excellent great find. Location was excellent walking distance to the Salmon River, Restaurant and Quick grocery store. House was clean updated and lots of room.

Cozy cabin with everything you could need

You wouldn't think it from the outside, but the inside is completely updated and has everything you could need. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with when we had an issue. Beds are very comfortable and location was perfect. Easy walk to local local bar/restaurant too

Great!

The purpose of our visit was to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family in NY. We are from NC and always struggle to find the best place to stay for a family of 6. House was perfect location to family. Our stay was also great. Very clean home with all of the amenities we needed. Would definitely recommend to friend of family member traveling to the Altmar area.

Great 4 days fishing for salmon

We were a group of 10, family and friends. Accomodations where exactly as stated. We had a great time!! Caiught 8 salmon 16-20 lbs each and 1 trout. Looking forward to coming back again!! Andrea was wonderful, great communication! Thank you

I am a local girl, born and raised in Brewerton, NY, on Oneida Lake. I have traveled all around the country, from the Carolinas to Alaska, while working in the Hospitality industry.
It has been a dream of mine to own my own little piece of Heaven and I want to share it with all of you. I love to ride and fish myself, so what not a better place to own than a house right off of the ATV and Snowmobiling trails and walking distance to the Salmon River.
I strive to exceed all of my guests expectations and I hope that you will visit us on this journey of making A Stone's Throw Lodge bigger and better every season!
